"Find anything else?" she meowed, happy she was able to find this plump and juicy shrew roaming the meadows.

Nightpelt readied his haunches and leaped up into the air, letting out a frightening yowl and quickly catching the plump mouse in his claws, he opened them and gave it a killing nip. He looked back with a smile, digging up a area to hide it in.

"Great job!" she whispered loudly, careful not to alarm any other prey.
She sighed when she spotted a frog. She had a pet frog as a young kitten. She couldn't dare kill it. She watched as it hopped away with satisfaction and awe.

Darkwillow tilted her head to why Redrose had done that.

Nightpelt finished burying it and returned, a small drizzle started to come down, although it was harmless. He ignored it and scented the air for anything else.

Redrose flattened her ears against the drizzle, but she quickly pushed it away and spotted a vole nibbling on something. She tiptoed closer and noticed it was pecking at some fennel leaves.
This could help Hawkfoot, his hips have been acting up lately, the deputy remembered, quickly grabbing the thick, spiky leaves and slicing her claw across the vole.
She trotted back to Darkwillow and Nightpelt with the vole and herb leaves.
"I figured I could get some for Soraflight and Silverheart and their apprentices." she explained when they looked at her in awe.

Nightpelt nodded and gave light steps to get to the other side of the raibbit, waiting for Redrose to join them.

Nightpelt nodded as he joined them. "We should head back, or our fresh-kill will get soggy by the time we get to camp." He meowed as the rain started to become harder.

Redrose agreed, nodding her head. She dug up her prey and clamped them in her jaws, trotting back to camp as she led the way.

I'll help you carry the rabbit back to camp, since I have no prey in my jaws. " She meowed, picking up the hindlegs of the large prey.

Nightpelt carried his large mouse in his jaws firmly and bounded ahead of the cats, hating the rain.

Redrose dipped her head in appreciation and followed Nightpelt, who probably hated getting wet. The deputy loved it! It brings back old days, but it also reminded her of the flood that brought her here in the first. She sighed, blinking.
