StormClan camp

Leopardeye woke up to Greytree in the nest and the kits and Feathermoon. "What? Why? Huh?" She mewed, confused. Leopardeye hadn't been expecting all these cats.

Greytree looked helplessly at Duskfall, who had said she had a heart thing.

"Here." Duskfall gave her a leaf with a few small, black seeds on it. "It's foxglove, they can help with heart problems. It is very important you don't have more than you need, or your heart will stop."

OOC: I just had to read 2 pages and a bit... and I was only gone for 2 days...

IC: Feathermoon woke up from suddenly faling asleep. "Why so many cats here?" she protested, wriggling about. "I can't move!" she grumbled.

OOC: Grumpy Cat.

Greytree protested. "It's not that. The sides of my chest are hurting, not where my heart is!"

Tigerkit stared at Greytree. "I don't know you. Who are you?" she mewed.

Leopardeye answered for the elder. "She's an elder! Show some respect!" She snapped, annoyed.

Greytree gasped in pain. The pain was sharper, and she couldn't see at all.

Tigerkit narrowed her eyes at Leopardeye. "Well I just found out I died so don't blame me for being curious." she snapped back.

Leopardeye twitched her ears. "Well, I don't know you either."

Greytree was not as frustrated as she could have been, as she was a caring elder. "Duskfall!" She whispered, not able to see at all.

Tigerkit shrugged. "Sorry for being rude then." she mewed. "I'm Tigerkit."

Leopardeye snorted and rolled over going to sleep next the the injured Emberflank.

Greytree blinked, trying to clear her vision. She needed to see again, so she could be active more. Greytree loved to go hunting and relax out of camp, free from other cats.

Tigerkit glared at Leopardeye, before settling down to sleep.

Feathermoon watched Tigerkit and Leopardeye. "She's a couple of days old, try not to make her sad already." she mewed to Leopardeye.

Leopardeye was already fast asleep. She was uncomfortable from the queen's stares, and she sfifted, trying to relax.

Feathermoon rolled her eyes, and started stroking Tigerkit's back with her tail.

Adderkit scrambled out from under his mothers belly, pushing his nuzzle into her chest fur, while Moonkit sent a not so frightening glare at Leopardeye for messing with her sister. Kestrelpaw glanced at the kits with a faraway look, wincing as the pain in her neck grew, like a thousand safety pins were falling harshly onto it. She groaned quietly and leaned on her sister.

"I know how heart trouble works." Duskfall mewed, "Most cats describe the feelings of swallowing something big too fast, then painful cramps and shivers up their spine. Is it that?"

"No, not that. The sides of my chest feel like they're being squeezed by a twoleg, and I can't see at all now!"

Kestrelpaw was growing impatient as she waited for Duskfall to finish up with Greytree. Her neck was just hurting more and more.

Feathermoon huffed and looked at her kits. "Come on, play a bit." she mewed, smiling.

Adderkit battered at Moonkit's ear, but her weak paws wobbled over and she fell on him. He scrabbled away and grabbed at his mother, beginning to suckle again. Moonkit purred and wrinkled her nose at the scent of sick cats around her.

Feathermoon looked at Wolfblaze. "Fine." she huffed, settling her kits down. "Be careful." she mewed to her kits, padding after the others.

Emberflank didn't notice how his wound ached. He was drifting in a dreamy happy place, with his love and comfort.

Greytree gasped in pain at the pain in her chest, which was like teeth scraping on metal.

"That doesn't sound like anything I've heard of, or at least, not recently." Duskfall murmured.

"What? If you don't know it..."/she mewed worriedly.

"That either means it's something that doesn't come up often, or you're overreacting." Duskfall mewed teasingly, flicking her tail.

"I'm not overreacting! It's never happened before in my life."

"Which might mean you're making something serious out of nothing because any unfamiliar feeling cats get scares them." Duskfall shrugged.

"No, I get sick and feel strange often, so... and also, I cannot see, and of course it isn't good! It happened so suddenly, instead of the slow decline."

"Maybe it's brain damage? That could explain the eyes and cause nerves to act up. Have you hit your head recently?" Duskfall suggested.

Greytree twitched her ears. "No, I haven't hit my- Oh!" She was inturrupted by a sharper and stronger pain in her chest.

"Well in that case I have no idea." Duskfall huffed, "So you just stay here and hope it isn't fatal. I have other patients to attend."

Kestrelpaw's eyes lit up as Duskfall approached.
"Thank SoulClan," she muttered under her breath, still leaning against Aukletpaw's shoulder.

Greytree gazed sightlessly as Duskfall left. She tried twisting, which helped only for a heartbeat. The elder cringed as another pain shot through.

Duskfall examined Kestrelpaw's shoulder. "It doesn't look too bad, probably needs some goldenrod incase of infection, but then we'll lay on some cobweb and it'll be good to go." she mewed.

Greytree was still stunned at how Duskfall had left her. The others did need her, but Greytree felt different. Her hear was clear, but she was hurting a lot.

Duskfall applied a bit of goldenrod, the pressed cobweb against the wound until the last of the bleeding stopped. "Leave this on tonight and don't over-excersize this leg until I tell you it's back to normal." she instructed the young she-cat.

Sparrowkit blinked softly as he crawled over to Feathermoon. "Mwomma?" He mewled as he prodded her tail.

Songbird scrambled out of the medicine cats den, her injured leg still wrapped up and in the process of healing.

Ooc: There is something wrong with the elder, Greytree. Emberflank got really hurt at the owl tree, and he and Leopardeye are both laying in the medicine den!

Ic: Cloudmuzzle watched the newborn kits. She smiled, wanting to someday have kits of her own.

Kestrelpaw nodded, wincing at the goldenrod. She waited for another instruction from Duskfall before leaving to go rest.

ooc: I know about Emberflank, Ivystripe is my cat who is a mentor to Lionpaw who both discovered him wounded.

Ivystripe picked out a vole from the fresh kill pile and ate it silently, watching the camp.

Ooc: Cloudmuzzle can be! She is calm and contained.

Ic: Greytree mewed, "Songbird, where are you? I can't see!"

Songbird blinked, tilting her head. "Why I'm right here, Greytree. What do you mean?" She responded, brushing her tail against the elder's shoulder to show her she was right next to her.

Greytree rasped, "There was this pain in my chest, and my vision got cloudier and cloudier, now I cannot see."

Songbird blinked slowly, "You don't think your going..." She meowed, not wanting to finish the sentence. (Blind)

Greytree shook her head. "Usually a cat sees a black color only, and I see white. And I was fine this morning!"

Kestrelpaw, eavesdropping on the conversation between the senior warrior and elder, winced at Songbird's sentence that she hadn't finished. The smart-alack she was, she popped in, the goldenrod already making her neck feel a little better.
"Actually, sometimes blind people see flashes of different colors. They don't simply see black. Since you are aging, it is normal if you see tiny hallucinations of everyday objects or people. Do you see, persay, an odd vision of one of your old family members, or maybe an Upwalker object from travelling by the Twolegplace?" she meowed, but her voice cracked a lot as she rasped her tongue over her paw and drew it back against the sides of her neck, careful when she reached the wound and winced at the juicy goldenrod.

"All I see is white. No colors, only white!"

Songbird purred at the apprentice's wisdom. "Maybe you should go see the medicine cat about this.." She meowed, giving the elder a nudge and brushing her fur against her side so Greytree wouldn't wander off blind.

"I did," Greytree mewed, and continued. "Duskfall told me to wait and hope that it's not fatal!"

Songbird sat back once more, her whiskers twitching with decisions. "I think I might retire soon, so I could help you out if.. if it's not fatal" She meowed, resting her tail reassuringly on the elder.
