Scarletpetal quickly flashed toward them and pounced on two at once, stabbing her claws in one and biting the other. It was a lucky catch and she couldn't feel more proud. This was the first time she had ever caught two mice at once, or two pieces of prey. She carried them both to where Nightfrost was, her eyes beeminf with excitement and pride.

Nightfrost purred back at Scarletpetal. "Great catch! You'll have to teach me that move sometime," he added with a wink. "Might come in use for fights or something too."

Scarletpetal set her two mice down and nudged him gently, purring. "No trick to that at all. Just luck." She said and looked around the area for any rogues, just to be sure.

Nightfrost licked her ear gently, listening the sounds of the breeze whistling through the grass and between the exposed rocks, and the rustle of some of the trees lining the border of the New Twolegplace. "Did you ever hear those stories of LeafClan? What their territory used to be like?"

"Me neither. I believe my mother and father told me about them once when i was a kit. And then your father did too, during a training session he gave me.." she mentioned, becoming sad at the thought of her former mentor.

"Did you know he was from LeafClan?" Nightfrost stretched a little, tilting his head to look at Scarletpetal. "He was an apprentice when they were driven out."

She shook her head, never knowing he had been apart of the clan. "Do you know wha he was like back then?" She asked him, her gaze fixed on him and shining with curiosity.

Nightfrost purred in amusement. "He claimed to be a good apprentice, but I know he got into the same trouble as all apprentices do."

"I could never imagine him like that. He was so strict with me when i was his apprentice, but he cared for me like i was a daughter to him." She purred, pushing her nose into his fur so she wouldn't get more sad.

She nodded softly, her nose still in his fur. She breathed in his strong but sweet scent, closing her eyes for a few heartbeats before slowly turning around and making her way back to camp.

Nightfrost picked up the prey as he padded after her, running a little to catch up and press his side against hers.

Graycloud bounded across the hills. “Hopefully we can catch a rabbit or two before the snow gets worse.” He said, shaking a few flakes from his pelt. “We have to be quick.”

“Oh really?” Graycloud said. “Meet back here in a little bit, most prey caught gets first pick of what’s left of the fresh kill pile. Go!” He said and bounded off without waiting for an answer.

Ivypool laughed and ran off in the opposite direction. She stopped, and thought to herself Would she and Graycloud ever be mates? She definitely liked graycloud. She saw a rabbit and caught it with ease.

Graycloud sniffed the air and scented rabbit. He searched but couldn't find a rabbit. He nearly tripped into a rabbit's nest with a mother and two baby rabbits and killed them, letting a young rabbit escape so there would be food later.

She continued her hunt, seeing a rabbit and running for it. She fell right in to a rabbit nest and chased them around, giving no mercy.

Ivypool looked at her catches, two rabbits. They were skinny, meaning they would barley fill up a cat, sighing, she got out of the nest. She decided she had enough prey and started to look for graycloud
