Aquatail attempted to grab at Riverpaw's scruff to lift him up but she slightly missed. You won't die Riverpaw!!! she thought fiercely

Riverpaw stared up at the surface, then looked around. It's.. So calm under here.. So quiet. He thought, finally content with the world. Small fish where swimming around him, but he didn't want to catch them. Life is life...

OoC. I'm thinking of making him act really weird from now on.

Aquatail took a deep breath then swam to the bottom easily. She grabbed Riverpaw's scruff. She tried to pull him up but the wet fur made him heavy.

Riverpaw felt something grab his scuff and tug at him. I need not to be saved. He thought, bringing his icy gaze to meet Aquatail's. He twitched his ears and blinked. She not die, not let die. He thought and kicked upwards weakly, trying to help her get him to the surface.

Aquatail readjusted her grip on the apprentice's scruff. She paddled with all her might until she could feel the sand below her paws.

Riverpaw felt sand under his paws and laid limp, his muzzle barely above the water. He twisted around, placing his paws on the sand then walking wobbly onto land. He turned to Aquatail. " I need not to be saved, I breath just fine!" He snapped, speaking gibberish.

Aquatail turned towards Riverpaw abruptly. "You needed to be saved. You were drowning." Aquatail snapped. She left the clearing and motioned for Riverpaw to follow

Riverpaw looked after her blanking. " I need not be saved." He whispered, glancing back at the water once more before following Aquatail slowly, his drenched pelt soaking the sand around him as he walked.

Rosepaw padded quickly infront of her mentor, eyes sharp with knowledge. "So just us fighting?"she questioned while walking. Her pale paws hurried as she went ahead of her mentor.

Rosepaw nodded, splashing her paws in the water."I suppose most mentors will want to train their apprentices to fight. I mean with the news about Brightclan at the gathering..."she paused. Rosepaw wondered who would be joining them amoung the cluster of cats in the clan. It could be most of the apprentices. We still need to hunt though.

Tanglepaw, not watching where he was going, stepped on a thin piece of ice and went into the water up to his chest. He gave a shriek of surprise and darted out, almost crashing into his mentor and wildly shaking the water off his paw.

Ebonyfur laughed, "You'll warm up when he get training." She reassured the tom, flicking her tail as she approached near the willow tree and taking a seat, waiting for Tanglepaw to join her.

Ebonyfur grinned, "Let's try the belly rake, it's a simple move for defense when you're on land." She explained, "All you do is slice my belly, with sheathed claws of course. It works when an opponent is pinning you down." Ebonyfur meowed.

Ebonyfur tilted her head and thought about the question for a few heartbeats before flicking her ear, "Well, it kind of depends where the cat is on you. Probably your hind legs for the best." She grinned.

Ebonyfur noticed Rainfall and flicked her tail to Tanglepaw, "Wait here." She ordered him as she bounded away towards the fellow clanmate. "Hello, Rainfall, Rosepaw. I was wondering since we're both here, if you'd like to work on some partner training on land?" She suggested, angling her ears to where Tanglepaw was.

Rosepaw narrowed her eyes at Tanglepaw."I can fight, I'm not use small. I bet your not as good as...the whole of Brightclan. If we fight together then we could win, without others we would be defeated. Do you want to be beat by them?"she questioned with anger thick in her voice.

Tanglepaw rolled his eyes. "I'm not a warrior, and neither are you. We can't take them on one-on-one, so I want you to climb the nearest tree while I distract them with surprise," he mumbled, his tail flicking. "Will that work?"

Rosepaw shrunk down at the thought of climbing, shaking her head quickly."I'm not climbing! If I climb, then I could fall and break my legs! No way am I staying in the medicine cat den for moons while kits get made warriors before me."she hissed at him barely holding herself back from trying to swipe at his face. "Any other plan taht don't involve me digging my claws into bark?"

Rosepaw nodded to him. She crouched down and stared at the mentors position." Run up to the willow and climb it. Is that a low branch or does it just look low because I'm on the ground?" She flicked her tail to a branch, not directly over the mentors but roughly behind them. "So you climb that and attack while I go in front and distract them. Is that right?"she asked Tanglepaw.

Ebonyfur quickly bounded over to Tanglepaw, swerving to the right and batting his legs under her paws to knock him over, however, he ended up falling into the bushes. "Oops! Sorry!" She laughed, flicking her tail, having no idea Rosepaw was above.

Rosepaw flashed a light smile. She scrambled out, ignoring the itches on her pelt. She rushed towards her before leaping to the side quickly and moving behind Ebonyfur. Rosepaw quickly swiped at Ebonyfur's hind legs before rushing away again, just past the branch and waiting impatiently for Tanglepaw to drop when the mentors were close enough.

Tanglepaw waited, then the moment he saw Rainfall try and sneak up on Rosepaw dropped down on top of her with a yowl.
