"W-Well, I don't. I understand how you and Misty feel! You know me and Salmonpelt were loners when we joined! That warrior, Thistlefoot, he brought us to camp, and he must have felt exactly how you're feeling right now." Flowerbelly mewed comfortingly, slipping closer to Aquatail and nudging her cheek gently.

"R-Really?" Aquatail mewed, her brain telling her to step away but her body refusing. she had never known she wasn't the first cat to bring in a loner and get humiliated by that

Mistyfern arrived at the ponds, ready to hunt and watch the apprentices learn. It reminded her of her apprenticeship, and her mentor, Blacktail, who sadly passed away from whitecough only a few moons after she had been made a warrior. She missed her mentor dearly, and hoped to one day become a mentor as great as he was. Meanwhile, she looked to Grayfur and and asked him, "What, in your opinion, is the best place to fish here?" She twitched her tail curiously, only having hunted here at these ponds a few times.

Grayfur thought for a moment. "Down the stream a little ways, I would say." He mewed, "where it's a little bit deeper." He waved his tail and padded downstream

She simply nodded and decided to follow him, wanting to catch some big fish. She then suddenly burst into short sprint, splashing some water on Grayfur. She slid to a stop, chuckling woth laughter as she glanced back at him.

Grayfur shook out his pelt, and gasped a little at the shock of the cool water. He mischievously glanced at Mistyfern, then leaped into the shallow water, sending up spray in attempt to soak her pelt.

She stood there, now half-soaked from the water. She glared at him playfully, and jumped towards him, into the water. She landed just in front of him, and made sure she splashed more water on him. She purred with amusement, before getting out of the shallow water and shaking her wet fur.

He shivered, and stalked out of the water, probably looking like a soaked rat. He shook, sending a good spray towards Mistyfern. He smiled, and darted past her, downstream.

When she got sprayed again with water, she growled and shook off her fur again before following after him. She liked having fun, and being outside the camp with her clanmates. As she approached Grayfur, she walked more slowly and crouched low, so she could begin to focus on her hunting. "Let's start hunting." She told him, and lightly flicked his ear with her tail.

Grayfur twitched an ear in acknowledgment and crouched beside the stream, just right, so his shadow didn't fall on the water. He waited patiently, then suddenly, he lashed out a paw and hooked a fish with his claw, throwing it onto the shore. He pounced on it, and with a swift bite to the throat, it was dead. He nodded, satisfied with his catch

Mistyfern did the same, following his actions, but she stayed a little closer to the water that he had. Her shadow fell slightly over the water, but she had her eyes on a fish already. She darted a paw, hooking the fish, and flung it into the air. She then reared up on her hind legs, managing to catch the fish in her mouth and killing it. She set it aside, and prepared to get another one. Setting her eyes on what looked to be a big fish, Mistyfern shot out a paw at the water, hooking the fish. However, she had trouble bringing it onto land, one of her claws getting stuck in the gill. She hissed in pain as the fish kept tugging, but she kept pulling on the fish.

Grayfur bounded over, quickly assessing the situation. He slid into the stream on the other side, and pushed the fish out the water. Just as he thought they were getting it, the fish managed to slap him in the face with the tail. She shook his muzzle, and pushed harder, laughing.

She hissed in pain again, as she thought her claw was going to be ripped off. But as Grayfur helped her with the fish, laughing after it slapped him with its tail, her claw became free and she pounced on the fish. She quickly bit its head, hard so it would die faster, and then shoved it away from her. She licked her paw, wincing from her claw being very sore and bleeding just a little. "Thank you for the help." she said to her friend, still licking her paw. "I think that fish could feed all the queens and elders." she then mentioned, glancing down in slight embarrassment.

"I think it is plenty." she chuckled, before adding,"I think it will be ok, just needs some time to heal." Mistyfern then began to walk, sheathing her claws, but limped on her paw with the torn claw. She realized now how badly torn it was, more blood coming from the claw, with it not all the way sheathed from being torn. "I will take the smaller fish, if that is ok." She mentioned, grabbing it in her jaws and limping back towards camp, figuring it would be better to see a medicine cat right away.

Grayfur nods, picking up the big fish, and somehow the smaller one he had caught. He waddles after Mistyfern, worried about her paw.

"Uh, it takes a lot of patience, but I suppose there'd be no harm in showing you." he mumbled, stepping towards one of the ponds. He shadow cast over the grass behind him, leaving the surface of the pond to reflect the sun as per usual. A small fish swam towards the edge he was perched on to nibble at a few waterbeetles that had been washed up when he flicked his paw against the water, scooping the fish out and quickly grabbing in his jaws.
