WaterClan Small-Ponds

This area is known as the Small-Ponds, but in all reality should be known as the Small-Streams. This is the southern branch of the river after it splits at the Gathering Island, and is a series of streams that seep through the bottom end of the Marshlands, nearer to DuskClan's Skytrees and along the border with the New Twolegplace. There are plenty of small fish such as minnows but nothing too large, as the larger fish simply don't have much room to move. Herbs are abundant here and often cover the still waters, so be careful to watch your step.

Aloepaw swished his tail and watched the water, trying to catch fish.

Marshfeather trotted across the muddy grass, sniffing around for frogs. He spotted his apprentice by the water.
"Ah! Aloepaw, there you are!" the tom mewed, striding up to him.

Hello! The tom purred. He flexed his claws, ready to train. " What are we going to start with? Fighting!?!"

"The ground here's a bit muddy for fighting, but of course, we could simply go to the training hollow!" he bellowed.

"Okay" Aloepaw slunk back. This cat scared. Determined to not be out done, he lifted his chin and growled." I knew that." He swished his tail and thought, I am not a mouse brain!

Aquatail ran here and immediately started sniffing the air for prey.

dovefeather walked towards the fern. " oh its just aloepaw." she meowed as she smelled the air. " come on out aloepaw."

Aquatail looked in the river and clawed out a few minnows and killed them with a bite.

Aquatail clawed up a rather big minnow and killed it neatly.

Aloepaw pulled up a trout. It slid off his claws and headed towards Dovefeather's face!

Aquatail flicked out a claw and caught the minnow before it could smack Dovefeather in the face.

stormwing yowled in fear but caught the fish in her mouth as she yowled, she bit down, killing it.

stormwing swished her paw in, her paw hit a fish, she sunk her claws into it. she pulled it out of the water, and gave it the killing blow.

Aquatail decided that she had caught enough prey and started to head back to camp, her jaws full of minnows.

Nightfoot led his patrol down the slope and skidded to a halt at the streams. He sighed and took in a breath of fresh air, waiting for the rest of the patrol to catch up.

Seashell skipped beside Nightfoot, and, losing her balance, fell face-flat into one of the ponds that expanded into the streams. She grumbled with amusement as she got up and shook out her fur, swiping her tongue over her body.

Dapplestar splashed through the stream, muttering in discomfort as the water touched her fur.

"I think a patrol is here," she whispered to her leader respectfully.

Nightfoot shushed his patrolmates after helping Seashell out of the pond and tensed his muscles.
"Who's there? Why are you here?" he called testily.
