Shard is a beautiful, pure black she-cat with blue eyes. She has a sleek, thick pelt that gives off a sheen when in light. She is rather small in size, but still powerful, being thick and muscular with scar-rippled broad shoulders.
Shard is basically just a cool old queen. She is stern and motherly towards cats, and loves telling stories and old jokes. She always does what she thinks is best for everyone and is incredibly protective of cats close to her. It doesn't take much for her to attack someone, and if she's ever trying to get revenge for whatever reason, you better watch your back, she WILL find you. In her mind, all of her attacks, battles, and even cold-blooded murders are deliveries of justice. You deserve everything she does to you. She's very intelligent and manipulative. When something doesn't go her way, she tends to freeze up or run away.

History
Shard was born in the twolegplace into a rather large gang led by Jackie. Her father was never known, and as many rumors circulated throughout the gang, no one knew for sure, but Pearl was the one to give birth to her. She and her littermates got into a lot of trouble as kits, and often ticked off other members of the gang. When they were three moons old, they started actually helping out the group. Silver didn't return from hunting one day, and her body was found in another gang's territory.
As moons passed, Jackie started to become unstable. Pearl tried her hardest to organize the gang, but she wasn't a natural leader. During one particularly violent storm that raged, Pearl got trapped in a storm drain that was starting to overflow. With the full knowledge that she wouldn;t be able to make it out alive, Jackie leaped in after her. The gang mourned the loss of their leader before disbanding, leaving Shard and Ross alone.
The two siblings travelled for a while before Ross met a young tom named Rusty from another gang and convinced Shard to join them. Shard was deeply suspicious of them, but held her tongue for her brother's sake. After a while, it became clear that the gang had odd and violent intentions, so she left. Shard met a friendly loner named Rabbit and decided to stay with him for a while. The two became mates after a season-cycle and started their own gang in a carrionplace.
Shard's gang began to grow in size and power. She gave birth to two healthy kits, and was content for a while. Their gang started to bump borders with another gang, and soon a rivalry began that started many battles and lots of bloodshed. The other gang one day attacked their base, at which point Shard realized that it was the group she and Ross had stayed with so many moons ago. Ross killed Rabbit without knowing who he was, and Shard attacked him mercilessly. Rusty distracted Shard by going after her kits. The attackers drove them away, and Shard, heartbroken and defeated, abandon her surviving kit.
