Skykit grumbled as she waited for her apprentice ceremony, glancing towards her littermates. With a huff, she got to her paws and bounded over to the apprentice den, intent on seeing if any of the apprentices wanted to play.

Creampaw sighed, her mind rushing with thoughts. She curled her tail around her paws and sat down in the darkest corner of the apprentices den. She watched the bundle of kits enter the den and smiled a bit. She padded over to Skykit. "Hey, Skykit!" she purred softly. "Are you excited to become an apprentice?"

Skykit nodded and flicked her tail, blue eyes closing. "Creamkit and my other littermates are all being groomed, but mom already groomed my fur," she meowed.

Creampaw flicked an ear. "I'm becoming a warrior soon! I'm excited, too. I hope I get a good name!" she mewed, tail lashing.

"Lucky," Skykit meowed and puffed out her chest. "I'm going to be the best warrior one day, and maybe leader! Probably not leader but I can hope," she meowed with a shrug.

Creamkit looked over towards her sister, flattening her ears and tilting her head.

Scarletpetal, having felt better from being outside camp, walked back into it and saw Dawnkit and Skykit. "Hello, little ones. Today is your big day, i bet you're both excited?" She mewed to the kits, her voice cheerful and warm.

Scarletpetal purred and sniffed Nightfrost, scrunching her nose in a joking manner. "You smell stinky... but i don't mind it." She purred, rubbing her head against shoulder. "I hope i get to become a mentor soon, i have been waiting a long time." She added, looking to both kits.

Willowfeather padded after her kits, willow green eyes shining with pride. She purred a greeting to Scarletpetal and Nightfrost. "Hopefully my daughters aren't being too offensive," she mewed lightly, purring when Talonstep nuzzled her.

"I hope so." She mewed more cheerfully. She really wished to indeed mentor one, but she didn't mind which. She would be just like her old mentor, but less strict and more fair.

Russetstar felt sleep overcoming him, although his chest hurt with every breath he took, he dozed off, unable to escape his heavy eyelids, and fell limp with a shudder.

OOC: He is now losing a life, not sleeping.

Creampaw giggled. "I told you! Maybe Nightfrost will mentor you." she meowed to Skykit, shuddering as the air turned colder and the sky darkened.

Hollyshade hazily padded back into the medicine den, twigs and leaves clinging to her pelt. She was worried for the Clan, scared to go to sleep in case a warrior would die right when she closed her eyes. She sat down beside Coldfoot, cleaning her fur with a shaky tongue. "I hope SoulClan gives us good signs tonight." she meowed, ears flat.

Stormheart, one of the senior warriors, padded over to where Russetstar's den was. She peered her head through the entrance, calling out his name, but nothing came in reply. He must be asleep. She wondered, but after studying him closely, she noticed he wasn't breathing; his body lay motionless. In shock, she rushed down to the medicine cat den, her eyes wide. "Hollyshade, Coldfoot! Russetstar... he's not moving!" She meowed frantically, remembering how their leader had caught on to the mysterious sickness.

Carnelianpaw, having heard the warrior's cries, sprinted out of the medicine den with a mouth full of herbs. She looked to Stormheart for an explanation as she padded inside.

Hollyshade wrinkled her nose. "Russetstar has 8 more lives, Stormheart. I wouldn't be surprised if someone just flung themselves into WaterClan by how loud and frantic you are." she muttered, clamping her jaws around some herbs and trotting after Carnelianpaw. In a more hushed voice, she said, "Do you remember the herbs I taught you yesterday?"

Hollyshade ignored Stormheart's remark, tail lashing. "We're missing feverfew. I'll go fetch it," she meowed to Carnelianpaw, quickly bounding back into the medicine den, grabbing the plant, and rushing out into the leaders den. She leaned down to sniff Russetstar's pelt and sighed. "I need to go speak with Coldfoot, when Russetstar wakes up please feed him the feverfew." she instructed her apprentice and hurried out again.

Nightfrost clamped his jaws around a yawn, stretching as the sunset tickled the sky a gorgeous kaleidoscope of pink, orange, yellow, and red. He admired it for a few moments before turning to Scarletpetal. "You feeling okay now?"
