Magpiefur licked up the feverfew weakly, his body shuddering. Before he could say anything to Coldfoot, he stifled a gasp, taking his final breath before his body fell limp.

OOC: Sorry if that was a bit rushed, I just want to start actually killing off my cats.

IC: Spiderpaw widened his eyes, dropping the herbs to where Tulippaw directed him and rushed over to where the elder lay motionless.

Clan news: DuskClan is starting to feel the effects of a sickness that is infecting a few cats. The medicine cats are worried, and are already trying new remedies to fix it.

Shiningsplash opened one eye slightly and started coughing. Strange. Sleeping has only made me more tired. she thought as she tried to get up. Her limbs felt to tired to move so she sighed and lay her head on her paw.

Tulippaw glanced over. "Shiningsplash!" she mewed, immediately taking some of the fresh herbs and padding over to the warrior. "Could you eat some of these for me?"

Scarletpetal, having taken a nap from hunting earlier with Nightfrost, woke up feeling fine. She padded out of the den and stretched, letting out a yawn as she did so. She then went and grabbed a mouse from the fresh kill pile, taking it to a shady spot and biting into it

Willowfeather stretched and looked down at her kits, a purr rumbling in her throat as Creamkit stumbled about blindly. She leaned down and picked the tiny shekit up by her scruff, setting her close to the rest of her littermates.

Talonstep poked his head into the nursery and purred a greeting from around the mouse in his jaws. He stepped inside, setting the fat prey at his mate's paws and looking over their kits while she ate.

Sunfall glanced at his three kits who were still in the nursery looking kinda bored. "You guys look bored, why don't you go outside and play for a bit? Just don't disturb the sick cats." He spoke to them. Then he looked at Vixenlight to make sure that his mate approved.

Moonpaw stretched, her claws sinking into the ground as she sighed and looked around for Talonstep, as he'd disappeared before they'd got a chance to go out.

Brindlekit found a mossball, running back to her siblings. "Look! Can we play?!"

"Okay, lets go!" Leafkit shouted, leading her siblings out of the nursery. She looked to see if there were any other denmates out in the camp wanting to play too and saw Brindlekit with a mossball. "Can me and my siblings join you?" She asked

Sunfall purred as he watched his kits leave the nursery. He hoped that they would have a good time playing and not cause any trouble at the same time. Sunfall scooted closer to Vixenlight and licked her on the top of her head.

Mistykit and Lunarkit padded after their sister and sat down beside her.

Vixenlight purred lovingly and groomed her mate's pelt, gently removing any leaves or anything she found in it.

"Do you guys want to join Brindlekit or do you want to play our own thing?" Leafkit asked Lunarkit and Mistykit.

Sunfall purred and said "Thank you." to Vixenlight. It was great to have time alone with her, but he wished that they could leave camp for a bit but knew that wasn't going to happen because they had to look after their kits, which was okay because he knows that they are more important.

Vixenlight purred in response and pressed her nose into his fur. She cuddled closer to him, closing her eyes and relaxing from the warmth he provided.

Dustfeather slowly padded out of the nursery and sat outside of it, her fluffy tail curling around her paws. The Somali queen had kitted 4 healthy, growing kits, however something was off about her. She looked nervous, her kits were 3 moons old now, but she still didn't like the idea of Treekit going outside.

Treekit, against her mother's wishes, appeared behind her mother, her ruddy colored coat will one day be darker than her mother's. She tripped over her mom's exposed paw and fell flat onto her stomach with a fearful mew.

Heatherdawn watched Dustfeather from her corner of the nursery intently. Her brown coat his her but her eyes showed from the darkness. She flicked her tail as she noted Treekit.

Treekit coughed a little at the dust she had stirred up a little and then sneezed. She opened her eyes and only saw half of Cobaltkit's face. "Y-yeah, I'm okay." she squeaked and slowly sat up, her coat all dirty now.

Dustfeather's ears went back in anxiety before she tenderly started cleaning Treekit's coat.

Dustfeather's ears pricked and she lifted her head, tongue still sticking out from grooming Treekit's fur. She spotted the source - Heatherdawn and gulped. She slowly stood up, she was rather short for a cat her age, and softly walked over to her, tail twitching uncomfortably.

Treekit nodded her head and blinked. Did this kit know she was half-blind or did they not?

Treekit nodded her head. "Y-yes." she answered him, now nervous.

Dustfeather's tail lowered sadly. "She's having trouble seeing things in front of her to the left, I'm scared she wouldn't make a good apprentice." she mewed said, lowering her ears and her eyes darkened with grief.

Treekit's left eye appeared clouded-over, so it was a lighter color and the pupil was a grayish. "N-nothing." she said, scared if she confessed he would treat her badly.

Dustfeather felt tears coming but held them back. "But what about when it comes to fighting? Her blind eye is such a disadvantage, they could easily pin her if they attack from her blind side." she said nervously. "I don't want to have to face her death, I've already faced so many, including-" she cut off, she was about to mention Treekit's father.

Cobaltkit tilted his head. "Thats nothing to be ashamed of! Soulclan gave you one good eye to make up for it! And I have heard that cats who are death or blind have amazing scenses. Apparently they can smell better then cats and if they are blind they can hear better!"

Treekit's ears lowered sadly, she didn't yet have that ability, sure she could smell really well, but her hearing wasn't the best.

Cobaltkit looked down sadly, fighting back tears. He thought that Treekit would be his friend but she now hates him and her mother hates him. He turned and went to the other side of camp, sitting down, his back to Dustfeather and Treekit.

Treekit's sobs were loud and sorrowful.

Dustfeather turned to Heatherdawn. "Please excuse us." she said and then slowly led her daughter over to Cobaltkit. "Apologize." she told Treekit, which was probably a shock to Cobaltkit.

Dustfeather sighed. "I'm sorry about Treekit, she's not used to others being nice to her besides me. See, she gets picked on because of her blind eye like you get teased." she apologized for Treekit, who was still sniffling from her crying earlier.
