FrostClan Forest

FrostClan's forest takes up the lower land in their territory, with the rest being the exposed face of the Mountain. It is full of trees of many kinds, unlike FireClan's pine-dominated forest, and boasts a large range of prey in turn. The thick undergrowth provides clean and easy hunting for the cats used to it, and can confuse intruders.

Lynxfang stretched as he walked through the area, not even glancing over his shoulder to make sure the apprentice was following. He should know how to scent now. His fault if he gets lost.

Birdfoot loped through the forest knowing Redstripe was stupid enough he wouldn't hear her. Then she climbed a tree and watched him. She had tried to be nice.

redstripe growled. " why do Is it always kits this, kits that, just because I have kits, does that mean I have no life now! besides, stormshadow can take care of them!" he meowed

Birdfoot looked at him"Let the kits become your life. Besides you just said you didn't love them. Why are you worried about them being killed if you hate them?"

Birdfoot softened." Of course" She pressed up against Redstripe for a moment, then returned to camp.

Birdfoot padded over. " I know some herbs that might help you. Thyme and juniper berries. Maybe I should give you poppy seeds and straw berries at night to help you sleep. I know your'e not sick, but I don't want you to loose sleep, then become a grumpy old elder." She glanced at him then turned her scarred muzzle to her paws." Only if you want, though."

Birdfoot ducked her head,"Of course" She sniffed the air, then went into a stalking position. She leaped into the undergrowth, and pulled up with a mouse.

Inside, she hissed at her self. She though, what would she know, she has never had kits!

Lunarpaw padded in, shoulders swaying from side to side, the wind ruffling her fur and making her look quite attractive. She blinked some dew out her eyes and parted her jaws for a scent. Although she was negative about hunting, she could always put her strong fighting skills to use when tussling with larger prey. She picked up a fresh scent of pheasant and saw the bright-colored shape waddling across a patch of sunbathed grass and dropped to a crouch, prowling towards it and leaping, ramming her paws into it's sides and pinning it down. She hissed and spat, reaching down and snapping at it's neck, but it successfully wriggled out of her loose grip and stumbled away. She narrowed her eyes and sighed, keeping her eyes wide for more prey as she approached the patrol again.

Cinderwing ran here, running ahead of the hunting patrol. Oops. she thought, skidding to a halt and pricking her ears, her beady eyes scanning the area. She saw a mouse, mostly hidden by a tree root, and stalked it silently, soon leaping and catching it.

Leafberry purred as she saw Cinderwing catch the mouse, and looked around, her ears pricked. She heard a rustle and saw a flash of the brown fur of a rabbit. She ran after it, but it was faster and it shot away. "Mouse-dung!" she groaned.

Batbreeze and Appleflurry ran after them, pelts slightly brushing, then stood still. Batbreeze looked around, her sharp eyes taking in everything, and she saw a bird in the tree. "I'll run up and startle it, you catch it." she whispered to Appleflurry, climbing silently up the tree, then quietly stalking the bird along the branch. She growled at the bird, who leaped off the branch in shock and right into Appleflurry's claws. Batbreeze leaped down the tree and over to her sister. "Bingo." she purred.

Heatherpaw padded beside Lunarpaw, "Nice try." She meowed, flicking her tail as she scented the air with her jaws.

Silvertalon smiled, "Wow, good catch!" She complimented the two sisters.

Thornsplash was too angry to say anything or compliment any of the cats on their successful catches. She looked around, as she opened her jaws to scent the air, a sudden downpour of rain crashed down onto the cats without a warning. "Fox-dung!" She spat, lashing her tail as the rain drenched her fur.

Leafberry shot under a large tree's branches, hiding from the rain, as she shook out her pelt. "Yuck." she complained. "Should we get back to camp? All the prey will be hiding now."

Cinderwing shivered as the cold raindrops dripped onto her fur. "Yeah.." she agreed, running around and blowing leaves everywhere.

"We're gonna have to go home if you run around like that!" Batbreeze snapped. "Anyway, what's a bit of rain?"

Appleflurry rested her tail on her sister's flank. "Calm down." she purred. "And also, it's become night."

Thornsplash nodded, "Yea, right. We'll catch something if it crosses paths with us on the way back then." She meowed, leading the way back empty pawed.

"Aw, mouse-dung." Lunarpaw frowned and hurried after the patrol, feeling her coat getting drenched to the bone. She spat some feathers out before carrying the bird she had managed to find when it started raining earlier and trudged after Thornsplash, wanting to be in front so she could get back to the safe, warm camp.

Heatherpaw followed along without any prey and felt very ashamed of it, her head dropping low.

Thornsplash flicked her ear as she saw a blur of a mouse, but noticed Silvertalon was stalking it already. She groaned and continued on through the forest.
~
Silvertalon leaped onto the mouse successfully and bit it's neck, picked it up and caught up with the patrol.

IC: Ivorystar led her cats into the forest, tail held high. She had eventually forgotten about Umberlight, but was constantly reminded at the taste of blood in her mouth and the fur clamped between her claws.

IC: Scorpionpaw immediately lifted her chin and took in the strong, unfamiliar scents of this forest for prey and herbs. She spotted a bundle of chamomile leaves by an oak tree and quickly trotted over, carefully picking them up and taking them back to the main clearing where the rest of the cats had gathered after the long walk from BrightClan.

Crimsonheart walked around the forest and scented a mouse. She nearly stalked it, before leaping on top of it. She broke its spine with a clean kill

"Ugh, it's so suffocating here." Tawnysky grumbled, looking around at the thick foliage of the forest surrounding her. She couldn't smell any recent markings or wandering scents from FrostClan, though that of a passing loner earlier that day was wafting through the air.

Tawnysky heard a shuffling and whipped her head, spotting a lizard running across the forest floor. He pounced and snapped its neck, the taste tangy on her tongue.

Springpaw sniffed around the territory, her ears pricked and tail low. Her pelt rippled with suspense. She wanted to get of this clans land, because, if she was being honest she was scared of Dapplestar. If we get caught by her and her clan mates.. there's going to be no mercy. She thought with a small shudder. But then again, we gave that FireClan warrior no mercy.

Crimsonheart dropped her prey and buried it for safekeeping. She saw a thrush up in a tree. She neatly climbed up the tree but she broke a branch, making the thrush fly away. "Mouse dung!" She cursed, leaping down from the trees disappointed

Kestrelwing padded behind the patrol, spotting some Horsetail (?) from behind a rotten tree stump and plucked it with her teeth. The stalks dangled from her jaws limply as she continued on.

Sandheart glanced around warily, shortening her legs by crouching low to the ground. I hope we don't get caught, she thought, ears strained forward and searching for any distant sounds.
