Melody the Death Song heard her and gazed down and roared at her before spitting amber towards her, which was then blocked by another shot from Avalanche.

Avalanche roared at Melody, a familiar roar of a dragon protecting her eggs. Avalanche growled and took flight, flying towards the Death Song without even thinking.

Lily yelled at Avalanche! "No girl!" She screamed.

Orion jumped, following avalanche.

Avalanche tried to strike Melody with a fired shot but the Death Song out speeded her and dodged it. Avalanche's eyes widened as the Death Song's mouth was suddenly upon her wing. Pain stabbed her there and she found herself flung into one of the building's roofs.

Melody roared at her and then flew off, disappearing into the fog over the water.

Lily ran over to Avalanche and touched her head. "Are you ok girl? Ok that was a stupid question of course your not ok. Let me see your wing."

Avalanche snarled at her, Lily needed to back up. Many scales of hers littered the ground, evidence of how hard she had hit the roof and how hard the impact of it was. She yelped and tried to stand but fell back down. Her one wing was bleeding and had multiple spots where the Death Song's teeth had gone all the way through.

Katla gasped and ran over to them. "Is she okay?" she asked.

Lily ignored Avalanches growls and looked over her wing. "We need to fix this."

Asger ran over. "What happened here! Why is there a dragon in Shetleu's house?"

Avalanche tried once again to stand but couldn't stand at all. She panted and moved her injured wing away from Lily's touch.

Katla frowned deeply as she walked over to Skullette's body in horror. A dragon did this?!

Atlanta turned back to where she last was. Something had happened and she wasn't sure. She stood up and very slowly walked over, just in case she wasn't allowed

Aurora flew down roaring. "Where is she!" She demanded of Asger before flying over to Atlanta and nudging her.

Lily stroked Avalanche's wing. "Its ok girl."

Avalanche laid her head down and winced as Lily stroked her wounded wing. She closed her eyes and then opened them, calling for Orion to now he's safe.

Dagger, a purple and green Deadly Nadder had escaped from his stable and had flew over to them to help them. His massive head looked around, scanning for the Death Song.

"Hi." Atlanta said, her voice unsteady. She had never seen a Death Song but her brother had told her stories of them before. She reached her arm up and held Aurora's head in a single armed hug.

Lily watched Atlanta and her dragon. "Seems like you already have a dragon" she said, laughing. She turned back to Avalanche.

Aurora licked Atlanta's hand. " I thought you were going to be hurt. The death song came from our island."

Orion was laying down, asleep.

Lyra saw the Death Song and her eyes flashed with determination. She edged slowly towards the dragon, hand outstretched, and was getting ready to sing. Please don't kill me.

Melody saw the human and roared at her loudly, flapping her wings threateningly.

Avalanche yelped and tried to stand up, this time managing to, but her wings were seriously hurt. She couldn't fly until the holes in them had regrown back - if they ever did.

Dagger was watching them and chittered a little, seeking attention.

Cindy looked at Lyra, going towards the Death Song. "I hope she knows what she's doing," she murmured.

Melody's pupils dilated and she found herself listening to the song. It calmed her down quite a lot and she didn't attack Lyra at all, in fact her head kind of swayed from side to side with the melody. She made like a purring sound.

Katla watched Lyra with amazement and she felt her heart thumping fast.

Melody blinked her amber/gold eyes and her pupils focused on Lyra's hand upon her snout. She gently nudged the girl with her massive head. Her eyes glanced towards Katla and she lifted her head.

Katla flinched and backed off a bit, scared.

Melody nodded her head and then flapped her wings, taking off and flying over the ocean, her powerful huge wings getting rid of the fog around them with every beat.

Melody swooped down and made her wing tips touch the water below them and she made her body steady so Lyra could actually stand on her neck if she wanted to.

Lyra felt Melody's body go steady and got up slightly, now crouching down. "This is incredible!" she laughed, leaning down to touch the water next to Melody's head.

Aurora tilted her head.

Lyra laughed as she went down, grinning wildly. "So, girl, I can't keep calling you girl, what's your name?" she asked.

Melody blinked her eyes and then looked at her with admiration. She'll have to give her her name because she couldn't speak exactly. She landed next to Cindy making the ground shake a little. She glanced towards Avalanche and roared towards her.

Avalanche was still wounded and now scared as the Death Song returned.

Zirconia growled, flicking her tail around Cindy. "It's okay girl..." Cindy whispered to the Razorwhip, leaving Zirconia to relax slightly, but still tense.
