Foxdapple cheered out loud for the new warriors of BrightClan. They were needed more then ever, now that the rogues had attacked them, and left them severely wounded.

Spiritpaw cheered, albeit quietly to try and not draw attention to himself, for the new warriors. Hopefully, they'd soon be able to make the rogues pay.

Sagepaw, having noticed her brother awake, crawled over to him and rested her head on his flank. She needed his comfort, and her sister’s. She listened to the cheering and words outside, feeling guilt tear at her.

Snowpuddle continued to watch Ivorystar, her eyes shining with pride. She wished her former apprentice was still alive, to watch him grow and become a fine warrior. She felt saddened at the thought, her mind travelling elsewhere.

Echopaw's eyes brightened up, half-excited to know who wer enew mentor would be, but a pang of sadness hit her as she remembered her former mentor who had died in the battle.

Jadepaw sat still, her green eyes flicking around the camp, until it rested on Risingsun. I can't believe he got his warrior name before me! She though to herself.

Tumblepaw curled his tail around his paws, rocking back and forth as he watched the meeting from the entrance to the medicine den. He looked back to Gingerpaw and frowned. I hope she gets better. he thought, flattening his ears.

Gingerpaw had curled up and fallen back to sleep, her silky pelt matted with dried blood from her wounds. She twitched and whimpered, her claws digging into the earth.

Ivorystar stretched a little. "We have some new mentors to announce as well. Though the deaths of so many warriors lay heavy on us, we will be new again." Her eyes shone with pride. "Juniperpaw, your mentor will be Flakesoul, and Duskpaw, your new mentor will be Lightwatcher. Lightningpaw's mentor will be Riptidewind, Thrushpaw will be mentored by Wishflight, Jadepaw with Azureflame, and Echopaw with Clovermask. I understand that a few of you are younger warriors, but I have trust in you that you will train these apprentices to the best of your abilities."

Lightwatcher blinked in surprise before his chest swelled with pride and he touched noses with Duskpaw, offering the shecat a charming smile.

Clovermask flicked her tail and touched her nose to Echopaw's, dark eyes holding a slight glitter of excitement.

Juniperpaw, though sad about the death of her mentor, still excitedly touched her nose to Flakesoul's.

Ivorystar purred lightly. "I'd like to announce some more new apprentices as well." She glanced around, noticing that Cherrywind was still inside the nursery. "I'd like Flickerkit, Squirrelkit, and Eaglekit to step forward," she mewed a little louder than normal.
Flickerkit's ears pricked, and Cherrywind immediately got up. "Oh, oh no," she panicked, immediately giving each of her kits a swift lick.

Snowpuddle lifted her head as another ceremony was to happen. She didn’t realize Cherrywind’s kits were already 6 moons. She purred with joy and watched it continue.

Lightheart's ears pricked up in interest as Ivorystar announced more apprentices. Could I be a mentor? Lightheart thought suddenly. He shook his head. No, there could be no way.
Lightheart then waited for kits to become apprentices with a spark of hope he hadn't felt in a long time.

Ivorystar flicked her tail. "Until these three kits become apprentices, they will be known as Squirrelpaw, Flickerpaw, and Eaglepaw." She surveyed the group of warriors in front of her. "Lightheart, you will mentor Eaglepaw. Squirrelpaw will be mentored by Dreamlotus, and Flickerpaw..." She turned to her new deputy. "Will be mentored by Snowpuddle. I trust in you three to teach these new apprentices all you can about the life of BrightClan, and train them to become great warriors in their turn."

Flickerpaw almost quivered with excitement. The deputy? Wow!

Squirrelpaw quivered with excitement, her tail stuck straight up as she padded over to meet her new mentor. As she touched noses with Dreamlotus, she bounced back with enthusiasm. "When do we start?" She mewed, shuffling her paws, "I want to see the moor, I heard that it's huge!"

Ivorystar flicked her tail. “I’d also like to say that I want a training session with all the apprentices and mentors at sunhigh. Everyone else should remain in camp while it goes on. That will be all.” She dismissed the Clan and leaped down, looking for Ivypaw and feeling a small claw of guilt that she’d neglected his training.

Cherrywind purred softly, padding over to her kits. “Oh my goodness, I’m so proud of you three.” Flickerpaw squeaked a little and managed to shift away. “If only Lightningkit was with you.”

Snowyspirit stood up. "Crabpaw, Whitefeather, Snowpaw, Petrelflight, let's go!" she called to the other cats, bounding out of the entrance.

You can take.. whomever you like.” She told the warrior before looking to her new apprentice. “We’ll be joining that training session Ivorystar mentioned. It’s a lot on your first day but you’ll get to see some of our territory.” She told him, looking back to her friend, Cherrywind.

Ivorystar stretched and padded over to Snowpuddle. "I still need to speak with you, Lynxcloud, and the medicine cats," she mewed lowly.

Snowpuddle nodded. “Would you mind staying in camp while the training session goes on? And after we get back or during the session, you can join one.” She then turned to her leader and dipped her head in acknowledgement. “Flickerpaw, why don’t you go celebrate with your littermates. I will meet you by the entrance soon.” Snowpuddle told the new apprentice, giving him a small smile.
