Echowing purred at her son. "You're more than capable," she reminded him. "I'm sure Poolstar will appreciate it if you're ready. How about I come out too, but you can both remind Aurapaw how to hunt the night-prey."

Aurapaw relaxed again at the idea of Echowing at least being there, even if she wasn't actively participating. She shuffled her paws, fluffing up her fur against the wind. 

Risingscorch frowned and nodded. "I'll talk to Poolstar and see if we can work on making the nursery warmer. I don't want to risk any of the kits," he mewed, worry coating his tone. He pressed his ear to her belly, and purred softly. "I can't wait to meet them."

Hailfeather glanced at Jayswoop. "C'mon, it'll be fun."

"Do you have any names in mind yet?" Mapleglow purred, "I've been thinking of a few."

"I was thinking Goldkit, after my mother, but I thought it might be weird. Maybe Amberkit?" Risingscorch sounded entranced, nuzzling into his mate's fur and purring. "Hello darlings, this is your father speaking. I don't know if you can hear me," he mewed.

Aurapaw huffed at the two warriors. "Please Jayswoop?" She pouted, glancing towards Echowing as if expecting the senior warrior to order her son to go with.

Mapleglow snorted and gently cuffed his muzzle. "Weirdo," she purred, licking his cheek.

"You fell for this weirdo, Mapleglow. You're stuck with me." Risingscorch stuck his tongue out at his mate, then returned to nuzzling her side, grooming her soft fur back into place. "What names have you thought of?"

"I have different ideas depending on what they look like," Mapleglow mewed, "If they get my coat I might go with Sandkit or Palekit, if they get yours maybe a Flamekit or a Sunkit."

Beepaw began to worry about her brother was doing. She padded quickly into the nursery before asking the queens "What can I do to help?" Her anxiety was quite obvious in her voice, however, she tried to stay confident.

Mapleglow curled close to Risingscorch, pelt bristling. "Avalanche?" she whispered, voice trembling. Her eyes darted to the other queens in the nursery. What happens if the den collapses?

Amberdusk’s eyes looked up towards Beepaw from where she had been keeping her kits close. “Take Dragonkit or Ghostkit. I’ll take Angelkit, Phoenixkit and Hawkkit out.”

Ghostkit stared up at her mother, fear lacing her fur. “Mum what’s going on? Why is the ground moving? I’m scared!” She says, staying close to her mother.

Jayswoop paused from his conversation with his mother, looking towards her and Aurapaw. “What’s happening?”

Risingscorch's chest tightened with alarm and he nudged his mate away from the den. "Beepaw, help the queens out of there," he called to his apprentice, licking between Mapleglow's ears before moving to aid the young apprentice.

Frostflower struggled to walk out of the nursery, hissing lowly while trying to keep her balance. Silverwind supported her, whispering words of encouragement to the fellow queen.

Mapleglow flattened her ears at Risingscorch. I'm not helpless. "Amberdusk! I'll take Ghostkit!" she called.

Amberdusk nodded to the other queen, her eyes thankful and she nudged Ghostkit towards Mapleglow. She turned, looking at her other kits, before turning towards the other kits. She carefully picked up Phoenixkit, before nudging the other two to the entrance.

Ghostkit squeaked as her mother pushed her, looking up at the queen.

Mapleglow gently lifted Ghostkit and brought him outside. Around the edges of camp the trees shivered, showering the camp with pine needles.

Bubblekit looked around in fear, his fur fluffed up, he realized he was older than most of the kits, and raced out of the nursery as fast as he could.

Vinekit tried to find her mother, but she couldn't, so she just stared hopelessly at the warriors

"What about me?" Angelkit squealed, his piercing blue eyes staring right into Beepaw 

Beepaw noticed the black tom staring at her, but picked up Dragonkit and brought him outside

Amberdusk, who had just placed Phoenixkit outside, picked up Angelkit. "Your coming with me."

Risingscorch moved to pick up Vinekit, holding her gently in his jaws as he retreated from the nursery. Once he'd set her down, he glanced around. "Everyone okay?"

Phoenixkit sat on the ground, dazed and confused. But a constant rumble of terror hid itself well from showing, and she dug her claws into the ground.

Flickerlight saw Frostflower and dashed over to help. He gave a thankful glance to Silverwind and leaned against his mate's other side. Panic formed in his chest and made Flickerlight want to curl up and hide, but he pulled through for his mate.

Echowing managed to stay on her paws, staying close to her apprentice. "Everyone stay calm. We would've heard an avalanche by now, I don't think there's enough snow," she called over the noise of worried cats. 
Hailfeather nodded, breathing slowly to calm himself down.

Amberdusk looked towards Echowing, nodding, before pulling all five of her kits towards her, nudging and picking each one.
Ghostkit stared at the other cats, scared.

Jayswoop looked at his mother with pride, before looking around to see if he could help.

Frostflower leaned heavily against Flickerlight, licking between his ears. She nodded in response to Echowing, sighing. "I agree with you. It's not close enough to Leaf-bare for there to be enough snow."

Aurapaw curled closer to Echowing, trying to rely on her mentor's words to keep herself calm.

Poolstar wandered into camp, her fur still partially fluffed. At the sight of the queens and kits out of the nursery, her ears flattened. "You all felt it too." It wasn't a question, the leader sounded dismayed and worried. "Was anyone hurt?"

Wolfwatcher ran into camp, eyes immediately searching the area for his sister. When his eyes landed on her pale fur, he almost bowled into her. "Beepaw! Are you okay??" He looked around at the queens, ears flattened with dismay.

Beepaw almost collapsed from Wolfwatcher scaring her "Um, yes I'm alright" She sighed "I helped the queens, kindof... Is everyone else alright? There wasn't anything bad at the gathering?"

Lupinfrost padded in after his leader, Lichenpaw close behind.

Echowing padded up to Poolstar. "We're all right," she nodded.

Erminepaw flattened her ears at her mentor, who had left her to see his sister the moment they entered camp.

"Was anyone at the gathering hurt?" Mapleglow asked.

"Erminepaw!" Aurapaw darted to the other apprentice, looking over her with flattened ears. "Are you okay?"

Poolstar shook her head. "As far as I know, no. I hope the other clans are okay," she mewed.

Erminepaw curled her tail and puffed out her chest. "I'm fine," she mewed, looking sideways at Aurapaw, "It wasn't even that scary."

Icepaw had stayed with Dappleshine the whole way back to camp, sticking close to the warrior’s side. Her legs were still a little wobbly and shaking, but not as bad as before. She spotted her mentor, Lupinfrost and noted that he was alright, looking around at her clanmates as well.

Wolfwatcher nodded, before running back to Erminepaw and fussing over her. "I didn't see you until we got into camp! Are you hurt?" his voice was laced with worry as he curled his tail around his apprentice. He smiled. "How about you and Aurapaw keep Beepaw company?" He mumbled to her, before padding away towards Poolstar.

Blacktail walked into camp.

Erminepaw purred and looked content until her mentor was out of view, then turned to Beepaw with a sour expression. "Have fun watching pebbles, Beepaw?" she mewed.

"I was scared. I'm glad you're not hurt," Aurapaw mewed, then went quiet when Wolfwatcher approached. She nodded to the deputy, then glanced to Beepaw, ears twitching with Erminepaw's snide comment. The blue-grey tabby acted oblivious to how mean it could've been, offering a friendly purr to both shecats. 

Dappleshine licked between Icepaw's ears with a comforting purr rumbling in her throat. "You're okay, Icepaw."

Softpetal gracefully padded around the corner from the dirtplace, her expression matching nothing of what she was feeling. Her chest was tightened with anxiety at the shaking that had occurred moments ago, but at the sight of her sister, Dappleshine, she let go a bit. Even though they were only half siblings, Softpetal cared a lot for her, and wanted desperately to bond more. She cast green eyes over Icepaw, offering a small smile to the obviously worried apprentice. "Are you hurt?" she murmured to Dappleshine, hesitating before stepping closer and licking her cheek.

Vanillapaw slowly padded into clan, looking at the cats quietly before wandering into her den, tired from all the commotion "Do you think anyone's gotten seriously hurt?" Vanillapaw asked, looking at Mintsky and Quartzshine with weary eyes

Beepaw looked down at her paws "Hi, Aurapaw" She mumbled, trying to ignore Erminepaw at all costs

"We should check... that was a pretty nasty quake." Mintsky replied, sighing. 
"Check in on Poolstar, will you? Even for minor injuries, scrapes or sprains."

“Thank you, Dappleshine.” Icepaw purred, not wanting to leave her side as she was a bit scared the ground would start shaking again. She looked at Softpetal, her mind still a little boggled by the event that happened.

Vanillapaw nodded, before slowly walking towards Poolstar "Are you guys alright?" She questioned, looking at the leader and deputies with sparkling eyes, her white pelt fluffed out

Coldcall limped into camp, lagging far behind the others. He scanned the camp for his sister, seeing nothing over the heads of spooked cats.

Quartzshine returned to the medicine den. Seeing the mess of the herb piles from the quake, he sighed and gathered them neatly. A twinge of anxiety started in his heart again, but he pushed it away. He had to stay cool, collected.

Poolstar glanced down at Vanillapaw and nodded. "I'm fine. I believe Lupinfrost and Wolfwatcher are too." She looked up, taking in the panicked features of her clanmates. "Those who are injured go to Mintsky! She, Quartzshine, and Vanillapaw will take care of you. Everyone else, focus on getting some rest!" She looked to her deputies, jerking her head towards her den. With a purr to Vanillapaw, she padded off, tail swaying behind her.

Frostflower leaned heavily against her mate, face scrunched up with pain. Her stomach rippled with pain and she hissed, claws digging into the ground beneath her. She breathed out slowly and dipped her head. "Flickerlight, get Mintsky," she mewed, strained. 

Dappleshine purred at her sister. "No, I'm fine. Icepaw is shaken up though," she mewed, gesturing with her tail to the apprentice beside her. She pressed her nose to Icepaw's ear. "Go get some rest, dear. Today has been tiring."

Silverwind went immediately to Erminepaw and Lichenpaw, letting out a relieved sigh. "I'm glad you two are okay," she mewed, licking each of their ears. She then went to Lupinfrost, nuzzling into his fur. 

Risingscorch returned to Mapleglow's side, ears pinned to his head. "Amberdusk's kits got out alright? Are you okay?" 

"Hi Beepaw," Aurapaw mewed happily, tail swaying as she looked at the younger apprentice. "Are you okay? That shaking was pretty bad!"

Azurestep went to his mother, pressing his nose to Frostflower's ear. He noticed the look of pain on her face, and decided to attempt to help her.

Erminepaw grumbled with embarrassment as her foster mother licked her ear, waiting until she was out of sight to clean herself vigorously.

"The kits are all alright," Mapleglow mewed, holding herself tall, "We're all okay."

Lichenpaw leaned into Silverwind gently, sighing. "I hope that never happens again."
Lupinfrost licked his mate's ear in reassurance before following Poolstar into the leaders' den.

Echowing managed to relax a little, padding over to Aurapaw and licking her ear. "Sorry about no hunting," she mewed with a wry smile.
Hailfeather scoffed a little, licking one paw. "I don't think there'd be any prey left to catch."

Icepaw nodded, giving Dappleshine a quick lick on her ear before heading into the apprentice’s den. She was exhausted and as soon as she got into her nest she fell right asleep.

Poolstar turned to face her deputies, amber eyes steely. "We need to decide on patrols to go through the territory tomorrow. There might have been cave ins, and we need to make sure our hunting grounds are alright. I'll lead one myself," she mewed, curling her tail around herself. "It might be good to check the borders as well. We don't know how the neighboring clans are fairing," she added, sighing. "I don't know how I feel about FireClan's new leader, either." 

Aurapaw yawned, excused herself, and went to the apprentice den, curling up in her nest to sleep. She rested her tail over her nose, ears flattening to her head. 

"I'm glad you're okay," Risingscorch mewed, licking Mapleglow's ear. "We should get some sleep since the shaking has stopped," he added, pressing his nose to her cheek. "Is that okay with you?"

Silverwind looked after Lupinfrost for a long moment, then padded to the nursery, waiting outside of it for her mate.

Mapleglow nodded. "I can't promise I'll fall asleep, though," she mewed.

Fennelclaw trotted to the warriors den and curled up in his nest, letting sleep take him.

Erminepaw slunk towards where her father was talking with Poolstar, trying not to be noticed as she eavesdropped.

"All I ask is that you try to," Risingscorch meowed and licked her ear, then parted to go to the warrior's den. When he lied down, he fell asleep almost instantly.

Hawkkit watched as all the cats made a commotion in the nursery, wondering what was going on. He looked towards his littermates, blinking his round, pale-grey blue eyes in confusion.

Flickerlight sensed his mate's change in state. The kits? He laid her on the ground and bolted to find Mintsky. "Mintsky! Frostflowers kits, I think they're coming!" His voice was sheer with panic, not having experienced something like this. "Come quick!"

Coldcall heard Flickerlight's cry and rushed to his sister. "Frostflower, the kits? Are you okay?"

Quartzshine peeked his head out of the medicine den, oblivious to Frostflower's predicament. "Is any cat injured? I can take you," he called.

Frostflower groaned at her mate's loud announcement in his panic. She looked to her brother and offered him a reassuring purr. "I'm okay, but it is the kits. I recognize the pain." She heaved herself to her paws with a great deal of effort, focusing on taking in deep breaths. Her son, Azurestep, leaned against her side to offer her support. 

The smoke tabby directed his dark gaze to Quartzshine. "My mother could use some help. The kits are coming," he snapped, ears flattened to his head while he worried over Frostflower.

Coldcall thought for a moment, his face tight with worry. He tried to think of something to do, but all of the times he had seen mothers give birth left his memory. Ears flat against his head, he racked his mind for something to help. A stick, for the pain! "I'll be right back," he said, nudging his sister's face affectionately. He limped over to the edge of the camp, searching for the perfect stick.

Azurestep's words snapped Quartzshine to the event at hand(at paw??). Realizing the importance of the kits coming right after a traumatic event, he dashed into the medicine den to grab a few raspberry leaves for pain or blood and hurried back out to the queen. "Let's get her to the nursery, and I need everyone out of there," he commanded.

Flickerlight saw Quartzshine with his mate and ran over. "Frostflower, do you need me there with you?"
