BrightClan Old Twoleg Nest

The Old Twoleg Nest is situated near the border with FireClan, and is a rotting wooden structure that would've housed twolegs seasons and seasons ago. Rats, badgers and foxes often infest the nest, meaning it is dangerous to enter alone, but mice, voles, and occasionally larger birds live in here too. The overgrown garden is BrightClan's main source of herbs, which are mostly protected year round by the bushes and collapsing parts of the nest.

Skybreeze halted, waiting for Hazepaw to catch up to her. She twitched her ear as many scuffles from mice could be heard from the twoleg nest's wooden board floors.

IC: Hazepaw fastened his pace almost to a sprint until he finally caught up to her. "So this is what a twoleg nest looks like?" He huffed, clearly remembering the two she-cats exclaiming how the twoleg nests beds are better than the mosses.

Skybreeze nodded, "Yea, but this one is old...obviously." She meowed with a purr. She opened her jaws to scent her surroundings, many mice smells floated around.

"oh." Hazepaw seem to be slightly disappointed, but then if this is an OLD den, what does their den look like?? It already seem pretty safe to live in. He noticed his mentor scenting out prey, so he start doing the same thing

Skybreeze flicked her tail, "Let's head inside, it seems as if the scent is stronger there." She meowed, padding over to a broken hole on the bottom of the twoleg den.

Hazepaw nodded and followed behind- the stench of mice are unusually strong in the twoleg's nest, even if its abandoned.

Skybreeze blinked her eyes so they would adjust to the dim light in the old twoleg den. "Weird, there's lots of dead mice around." She meowed. As if something has been killing them here... She thought suspiciously.

Skybreeze shook her head, "There's no twoleg scent around, it can't be that." She meowed, stepping forward and sniffing the mouse.

Skybreeze shrugged and picked up one the mice, "Seems normal to me. Doesn't look sick at all." She meowed. Skybreeze padded forward to peer at a large pile of bones and her fur stood on end as a strong wavering scent filled her nose. "Hazepaw...don't move." She whispered, staring at the glowing eyes in the corner.

Skybreeze opened her mouth to answer, but the animal revealed itself before she could. A large fiery red fox with sharp teeth emerged from the shadows, eying Skybreeze. Skybreeze gulped and dropped the mouse she had taken, trying to slide it away from her.

Skybreeze's heart was beating a mile a minute. She turned her head slightly so she could see Hazepaw from the corner of her eye. "Hazepaw, run and get help." She ordered in a sharp whisper. "I'll distract it."

The fox eyes darted across towards Hazepaw, target locked.

Skybreeze cursed under her breath and narrowed her eyes at the fox, trying to get it's attention back onto her rather then Hazepaw. But, it was too late, the fox let out a deep growl from it's throat and pounced onto the apprentice. Skybreeze let out a shriek in surprise and joined the fight, clamping her jaws shut onto the fox's neck, trying to pull it off Hazepaw.

Hazepaw yowled as the fox had suddenly pounced on him, and now digging their claws into his shoulders. Grasping him there, no matter how much Skybreeze pulled, the fox doesn't seem to want to let go.

Skybreeze was kicked off by it's hindlegs and she fell to the half wooden, half earthy floor. Skybreeze struggled to get up and once more clamped her jaws on the fox's tail, causing it to whip around and lung for her throat. She let out a horrified cry and managed to inch her way out the fox's mouth, but it still held onto her scruff, shaking her wildly.

Hazepaw eye widened, feeling warm blood seeping out of his shoulder, finding that his mentor would soon be in the same state- or worse. "NO!" He let out a small sharp meow as he lunged onto the foxes back, claws digging into its back, causing the fox to shriek in surprise and sudden pain.

Skybreeze took in a deep breath as she was let go from the choke hold. The fox got up on it's hind legs and tried to shake Hazepaw off, but failed miserably. Skybreeze got up and lunged for the fox's open belly, scraping it there. The fox stumbled down and whimpered, scrambling away out of the twoleg nest. "C'mon, lets get back. It'll still be around territory, but injured and we need to inform Ivorystar about it." She meowed, licking the blood that oozed from a wound on her neck.
