FrostClan/Mountains border

FrostClan's borders with the rest of the mountain range are a little seasonal, shrinking in leafbare with the cold meaning the cats don't want to venture as far, but with greenleaf bringing more food and energy to the Clan. Rogues and occasionally wolves often come from this direction as the mountains are practically barren, and FrostClan boasts the most prey-rich area of the forest.

Rosestar curled up in the snow close to the border, tail pressed firmly around her twitching nose. The wind quietly blew a cold breeze over her small ginger body, making her stand out against the white landscape. It's so lonely here. Maybe I should make my own gang of loners, like that one rogue Minkura I saw the other day. she thought, shivering.

Longpaw's tail trailed as he clambered up a narrow path. His heart began racing when the boulders started enclosing around the pathway. "Are you okay, Greytail?" he called back to his mentor. A gust of wind nearly blew him off his feet. With a grunt, he pulled himself over a fallen tree and ducked under some vines to enter the small cave where he had found precious herbs the other day. "We're here!" his squeaky voice echoed across the cave walls.

Graytail gave a brief nod as he almost slipped on the rocks. He joined Longpaw inside the cave, pulling off some vines. "These could be useful with broken bones." He muttered half to himself and half to Longpaw. Coming back to his surrounding, he looked around, letting his eyes adjust to the dim cave. "Where do we go first?"

"Well, when I found it, I went all the way to the back of the cave. It seems most abundant there, but I haven't even explored the whole thing yet." he explained, flicking his tail for his mentor to follow.

Graytail nodded and followed, "This could be a great place to grow herbs, but I still don't understand how these plants survive in here." He meowed, looking around as they wandered deeper into the cave.

Longpaw curled his tail, gesturing to a small knick in the ceiling of the cave. "Do you see that little crack? I figured the sunlight filters through to give the herbs energy, but still keep it safe from the freezing temperatures. At least that's what Rose-" he stopped himself, mentally noting that he shouldn't tell Greytail about his encounter with the local rogue in the cave. I wonder if she's still here?
