Shadesky woke up and gently picked Patchkit up, laying him back next to Nightkit, who was still alseep.

Laurelwish snniffed as she padded back inside the entrance barrier. Something smelled funny.

ic: Laurelwish sniffed again. Something still wasnt right, but she shrugged, walking past Gorsewing with a snort and depositing her prey -a mouse and a thrush- on the freshkill pile.

Laurelwish gasped, ignoring Gorsewing. "Fox! And close!" she yowled, turning to the entrance barrier to see a mass of growling orange fur.

Skyfire circled the fox, hissing as it tried to swipe at his face.

Laurelwish yowled and leapt at it, clawing it's eyes, which only seemed to make it angrier.

Patchkit whimpered.

Willowpaw hissed, ears flattened.

Gorsewing went for its neck.

Shadesky hissed and stayed with her kits wishing she could do more to protect them.

LAurelwish leapt at the fox's face again, but it had obviously learnt that trick. FLicking it's forepaw out almost lazily, three bright red gouges appeared down Laurewish's belly. She halted almost in mid air, falling to a heap at the side of the clearing.

Sunstorm jumped onto the back of its neck and held on. the fox jumped back to crush him and Gorsewing raked its belly. it brought a massive paw down and caught her flank. she stumbled back.

Willowpaw hissed, and leapt towards the fox, and managed to tear an ear open.

Laurelwish's breathing became shallower.

Flickerflame limped out of the medicine den. "What happened?" he mewed, not seeing his sister.
