Jadekit fell asleep after a while of playing with the moss-ball.

Ivylight closed her eyes, relaxing.

Dewbracken waited for the next patrol. He flicked his tail with boredom, but didn't want to go out by himself. I heard rogues have been tormenting some of the other Clans, he thought and was fearful of what might happen if they caught him unawares. Despite his reputation as a warrior, Dewbracken had no want to "prove himself" as a macho fighter, and was glad to wait for a chance to patrol with other cats.

Shadeheart ate a water vole in small, discrete bites.

Thornkit slept, his body temperature slowly lowering to normal.

Hollykit pounced on Bramblekit.

Rowanfall watched the kits.

Shimmerstorm purred, batting at Goldenapple with a forepaw and laughing.

Ravenwing looked at Blazefire. "I dont like birds..." she mewed, grabbing a carp. "I'd rather have this." she purred.

Ivylight looked over at Lynxheart, and placed a reassuring paw on her tail. "Don't worry," she said with warm empathy in her meow. "The pain is over quickly. I know you'll do fine."

Jadekit woke from Lynxheart's hiss, and tried to investigate the commotion, but her mother held her back. "Momma?" Jadekit asked, gazing up at Ivylight.

Ivylight replied in a hushed tone, "Not right now, dearest. Lynxheart needs space; go back to sleep."

Dewbracken heard Nettlefur's almost frantic calls for a medicine cat. He wondered which cat was under the most anxiety - Nettlefur or Lynxheart.

Shadeheart left camp by himself. A part of him was hoping to see Dewsplash again... No! I don't need to see that silly medicine cat all the time, another part of his mind screamed. Ugh, why am I so confused?

Tawnysplash headed into the nursery, stopping to tell Nettlefur that he'd probably be better to stay outside. "Now, Lynxheart. I want you to eat this," she passed some borage over, and gave her the stick. "Ivylight, could you please get the other kits out of the nursery?" she mewed, picking up Hollykit and placing her near the entrance.

Shimmerstorm purred, licking Goldenapple's ear.

Ravenwing bit into her carp, sighing as the flavour seeped over her tongue.

"no!" frostkit yowled. she watched as her mother, snowyfur padded over to her. "umm..." them kit trailed off.

Ivylight picked up Splashkit and Jadekit and moved them to a nest farther inside the den.

Jadekit wriggled her short limbs but couldn't escape her mother's firm grip.

"Stay still," Ivylight murmured with slight irritation, then gently placed the two in another thick bed of feathers and reeds. "Lynxheart is having kits right now, and let me tell you it is not a swim in the river," Ivylight told her kits didactically. "If I catch you outside this nest while I am away, you'll get a spanking, is that understood?"

Jadekit nodded hurriedly, glancing back at Splashkit.

Frostkit still held onto the nest. Snowyfur picked up Frostkit by the scruff but, the kit held onto the nest. Snowyfur ended up having to pad out of the nursery carring a kit and a nest because Frostkit would not let go. She set her -and the nest- down out side the nursery.

"Feeling better?" SNowyfur mewed, turning away from the now sleeping Frostkit. She sniffed at Thornkit.
