Melodypool coughed loudly, and shivered as her pelt prickled.

Twilightkit edged away from his mother, and bounced over to Grayblaze. "I think Mom's sick..." he mewed, glancing at the nuresry.

"Why do you keep looking over at Grayblaze?" Riverbreeze asked. "I bet she loves him." Midnightheart teased. "I do not!" Shatteredheart snapped. "He just..." Shatteredheart rolled her eyes. "Seems..." "Seems what?" Riverbreeze mewed. "Oh I don`t know!" Shatteredheart rasped. "You do like him don't you!?!" Midnightheart meowed. "What if I do!?! He already has a mate in the first place! And even if he didn't He would never notice a cat like me." Shatteredheart pointed out. "Okay..." Midnightheart mewed. "What ever you say..." Riverbreeze added.

"I honestly don't like anyone." Midnightheart admitted. "Yeah. have noticed that too." Shatteredheart laughed. "Anyone can see Batwing obviously likes Slatefang." Midnightheart giggled.

Grayblaze frowned. "Twilightkit, I want you to go and get Dawnkit and play outside while I get Fawnstep or Flowerflight." he mewed, and the kit scampered away, calling for his sister.

Pushing into the medicine den, Grayblaze blinked his indigo eyes in the darkness.
"Fawnstep? Flowerflight?" he mewed, coughing as a little herb dust stuck in his throat. Fawnstep emerged, her pelt covered in dust and little scraps of moss. "Sorry, I was cleaning. What's the matter?" the medicine cat mewed, flicking some moss off her shoulder.
"Melodypool's sick." Grayblaze mewed, and Fawnstep nodded. "I'll get some catmint."
