Flowerkit perked up suddenly.
"Hey, I have an idea! Why don't you take me out of camp to see the territory, and then we'll return right away? No one will know!" she mewed, lowering her voice.

Swiftstep washed himself casually, angling his ears towards the conversation still.

Salmonpelt shook his head. "I would, but we can't. Kits aren't allowed out camp. Can't you wait a few moons?" he mewed.

"Well..." Salmonpelt started, not knowing what to say. He spotted Swiftstep, and mouthed at him - Can you help me here?

Swiftstep chuckled and licked his tail one last time. He padded over.
"Sure, Flowerkit! Come here, and we'll take an adventure!"
Purring, he let Flowerkit hop onto his back and he took her behind the nursery.
"This is the dirtplace. Why don't you make little dirtballs, huh? You are the creative one here!" he chuckled.

"That's gross!" she mewed.

Salmonpelt sighed a sigh of relief, and listened to his sister and Swiftstep. Then he padded after them, making sure he wasn't seen.

Flowerkit hopped back onto Swiftstep's back.
"Here. We'll go as far as we can behind the nursery." he decided, trotting down a small dip that revealed the rest of the territory.

Flowerkit gasped and pushed off Swiftstep's back, landing on her brother. She battered at her face and yowled, "You'll never get me! WaterClan is the strongest of them all!"

Swiftstep sat down and watched, purring. He panted from carrying around Flowerkit; she was quite heavy already and he was getting old so at random times his back would flip out anyway.

Gingerbelly and her brother, Orangepool laid by the fresh kill pile sharing tongues. Gingerbelly swept her tail over Orangepools face trying to get him to playfight, and her brother sprung at her gladly accepting this invitation.

Turtlesplash gave a little chuckle at the kit and went back to eating her prey. I should probably take a border patrol out soon.. she thought to herself.

Swiftstep chuckled and sighed, plopping to the floor in exhaustion.
"Okay, Flowerkit, I think that's enough for today." he purred, chest heaving up and down.

Flowerkit purred and hugged Swiftstep, then jumped on Salmonpelt, tackling him.
"Do you still have some energy?" she exclaimed, snickering.

Flowerkit scoffed, backing down.
"Oh, fine~! Well that was fun!" she meowed with excitement gleaming in her eyes.
Swiftstep had began to pad out of camp, heading outside to get some fresh air and maybe even stretch his paws by hunting a little.

Flowerkit's grin widened with sunshine.
"Really? You think? Well, then, why aren't I an apprentice yet?" she returned to the whole "why" of calling her brother over what seemed like moons ago.

Her shyness had swept over her at just meeting this kitten, but she was intrigued by her energy. She was hoping to become friends.

Flowerkit pulled her trout back and began eating it again; she didn't want to seem too desperate. She looked up, purring.

Wingkit glanced down. She bent down, and took a big bite of the trout, before sitting back up. It all happened in a heart-beat. Slowly she chewed, and a fin was sticking out of her mouth.

Flowerkit smiled and glanced at the entrance to camp for a moment.
"I can't wait until we become apprentices.." she daydreamed about running through the marshes, catching plenty of fish and having the time of her life.
Camp was getting boring.

Flowerkit led the way with her nose raised high in the air. Her confidence faded away when a crack of lightning struck the sky, sprinkling rain all over her face.
"Mouse~dung! Maybe next time." she purred to Wingkit, resting her tail on the ground; not quite drooping it.

Flowerkit's expression turned into one with despair as she watched Wingkit being left out. She awoke herself from sitting still as a statue and brought her closer, wrapping her tail around both brother and friend with a smile. She rested her head on Wingkit's shoulder, yawning.

Swiftstep padded into camp, dragging along a few fish with him, soaking wet. He wondered what the loner he met was up to, and if she was telling the truth. He leaped at a loud clashing of lighting and thunder together, dropping his trout, salmon, and other prey into the pile as he rushed into the warriors den with a frown. His heart felt fulfilled and warm when he saw Salmonpelt with Flowerkit and Wingkit. He urged to join them, but didn't want to ruin a special moment like this between brother and sister and friend, so he curled up into a small ball, easily drifting into a deep sleeping, snoring quietly.
