WaterClan Camp

"It's not!" he shouted. "Shut your mouth, Shadowkit, or we're going to get in trouble for not even doing it yet!"

"So you are going to do it?" Shadowkit grinned over at Windkit mischievously. "I definitely am!"

"It's not dangerous unless you're silly enough to cross an otter." Willowkit mewed, her voice slick and sweet. "And I found a spot filled with easy prey." she teased with a sly grin.

Windkit narrowed his eyebrows. "I'm not going, mousebrain. I'll be waiting in the nursery while you all get into major trouble." he grunted and disappeared under the thicket of brambles that protected the exterior of the nursery. 

Rosekit shrugged. "It seems like fun!" she giggled. She fluffed out her tail, making it look twice her size, as she practiced catching a minnow. She dipped her claws into the sandy ground, throwing some dust in the air. "Yes!" she squeaked.

"Alright, lead the way willowkit!" Shadowkit said in a rather orderly sense. With his chest puffed up, hopefully exaggerating that hes not scared.

"Let's go to the Marshlands!" Rosekit suggested. "I heard Turtlesplash talking about how she used to hunt there with her apprentice."

"Haha, that place is super boring." Willowkit snorted, "I found a much better play place! It's this big, spooky swamp filled with sleepy toads."

Rosekit's nose twitched. "H-how spooky?" she mewed quietly, heart thumping.

"Very spooky!" Willowkit confirmed excitedly, "The trees blot out the sun and it's right next to the ocean so there's always fog drifting through. It's like something directly out of one of those scary stories apprentices always tell to try freaking us out."

Rosekit widened her eyes. "B-but!" she stuttered. "Their stories are very spooky.. What if we meet the winged badger that Leopardpaw(??) told us about? We could get taken away and eaten!" she exclaimed, tailtip twitching with horror.

"That's easy to avoid! Just don't get taken and eaten!" Shadowkit answered triumphly.

Rosekit bit her tongue. "Do you even pay attention to all those scary stories the elders tell us? A BrightClan cat could come and snatch us, or a fox, or a snake, or a winged badger!" she squeaked, flanks heaving and heart racing as she imagined being taken away by such a horrid cause.

Willowkit snorted in amusement. "Oh come on Rosekit, do you actually think those exist?" she giggled. She straightened her face and looked at her sister coldly. "Flying badgers? Were you literally born yesterday?"

"Hey! You've never been out there! You don't know what's there." she defended herself, ears flattened.

"Have you?" Shadowkit sneered. "I bet not, since your actually believing this, they are only saying that cause they think we are not big enough!"

"I was out there yesterday while you all were playing Clan." WIllowkit boasted, "I can assure you, the scariest thing out there is fat toads croaking a bit louder than you expect."

Thunderkit gulped, "Are those winged badgers really real?" She mewed, turning to Rosekit in fear.

"Yes!" Rosekit responded. "But Willowkit is lying," she huffed.

The ginger she-kit whimpered in fear and stumbled over to Willowkit. "Awe you lyin'?" She mewed, hoping it wasn't true.

"What were you doing outside yesterday? " Shadowkit couldn't help ask.

Ooc: I hate to interrupt the kitten party but...

Ic: Doveflight stood up in her nest, muscles tight from laying down for so long. She felt claustrophobic cooped up in the nursery, and wanted to get out of camp to hunt as well. She heavily padded out of the den and out of camp.

Thunderkit fluffed her fur, making her look twice the size she was, but also look pretty silly to the others. "I'm not scawed of de outside. Lets go!" She mewed, her tail stuck straight up and  marching towards the camp exit.

Scarletpaw edged out the apprentices den, hoping to avoid the playing kits as she made her way over to the fresh kill pile.

Falconpaw watched his sister, smiling ever so slightly at the kits. He padded out, peering around to see if there was anyone he could chat to... apart from his coo-coo sister.

Bravepaw padded out the den and over to Falconpaw. "Hi." he smiled, nuzzling his brother (and best friend) jokingly.

Antpaw sneaked out the apprentices den, up behind Winterpaw, jumping on his back and yelling, "Boo!"

Winterpaw jumped, standing up suddenly and throwing Antpaw off his back. He growled playfully. "Oh, okay." he smiled. "Just wait." He turned back around to watching the kits play.

Hawkpaw chuckled, looking at Antpaw. He padded over, nudging him. "Hey, hey, tiny-cat." he laughed.

"Are you two serious??" Willowkit snapped, "Do you even know what a badger looks like? They're big and clumsy! They wouldn't even be able to fly with wings! Why would a badger have wings?! And where do you think you're going, Thunderkit? Why would the adults just let you strut into the world?! Are you all mouse-brains?!"

Thunderkit, immediately loosing her confidence, sulked back to the group. She crouched and curled her tail around her. "I don't know how badgews look..." She mewed in defense.

Rosekit wrapped her tail around her chest, ears flat. "W-well, I'm not going." she declared and stormed away, the hope of Thunderkit following her slowly fading as she entered the nursery and brushed past Windkit.

Thunderkit frowned and whimpered, running off to the nursery as well.

Lakemist blinked as she saw Thunderkit stalk in the nursery, her ears flat and her fur fluffed up, she looked like a orange furball. "What's wrong? Windkit, what were you all doing outside?" She meowed, glancing at her most trusted and well behaved kit other then Riverkit.

Windkit pricked his ears when Thunderkit came back to the nursery. "Willowkit wants to take us out of camp," he explained.

"No I don't! That was your stupid idea!" Willowkit hissed, acting offended. "SoulClan, stop trying to shove the blame onto me."

"I thought your the one whose said not to talk about it." Shadowkit hissed, trying to say so while not letting Lakemist hear

Thunderkit groaned, "We didn't leave anyways!" She mewed in defense of all the kits arguing.

Lakemist let out a brief sigh, "You know how many times I've said not to leave camp. Especially after you and Shadowkit got lost by the marshes." She meowed, remembering the time the whole camp was almost awaken because of their sudden absence.

Falconpaw watched the little ones, snorting slightly. "Hard to imagine we were that small once, mate."

Bravepaw smiled. "Hard for you, you sneaky kit." he joked.

Winterpaw padded over to Bravepaw and Falconpaw. "Any ideas to prank Antpaw?" he asked, staring into the distance at the same time.

Antpaw slapped Hawkpaw with his tail. "Rude!" he joked back, grinning.

Hawkpaw slapped Antpaw back, smirking. "That all ya got?" he asked.
--
Scarletpaw laid down, eating a small mouse. She suddenly drifted away, lost in her own little world.

"What's going on?" Spiderkit asked, having been spacing out for the rest of the conversation.
Willowkit rolled her eyes and stormed away. I thought Rosekit would at least back me up.

Wetleaf heard the kits chatting, and groaned to her brother. "Why are those kits so squeaky? Oh, sorry, I mean so loud. I'm tired. How 'bout you? Wetstream?" Before he could answer, she lay down, with her chin on her paws. Talking to herself, waiting for her brother to answer.

Wetstream looked at his sister, and grumbled. "Well, I was tired. But you woke me up! Stop talking about the kits. Their little. And go do something." He turned away from his sister, and rested. He wasn't sleeping, just thinking.

Lupinfeather got up, and padded past Wetstream, and Wetleaf. He padded to the medicine den, but didn't go in it. He liked the den. He peeked in to see which medicine cat was there. "Mistleleaf?" He meowed, he didn't want to disturb them both, incase they were there. So he thought Mistleleaf was there. He waited patiently. His tail flicking.

OOC: What time of the day is it? So I know what to make them do XD

Carrotspots accidentally bumped into Wetleaf as she left the den, glaring ahead intently.

Wetleaf hissed gently. She got up quickly, and meowed to Carrotspots. "Carrotspots, its ok that you bumped into me, actually, want to go hunting? It's leaf-fall, and its getting colder."

Wetstream fell asleep suddenly, talking a bit in his sleep.

Lupinfeather still waited for a response. And began cleaning his fur. Waiting.

Weird cat. "Uh, sure I suppose. Where should we go?" she asked with a slight tone of hostility.

She flicked her tail. "How about the deep swamp?" She meowed, trying to make Carrotspots not uncomfortable.

Carrotspots flicked her tail, scrunching up her nose. "Too spooky." she remarked absentmindedly.

Wetleaf looked at Carrotspots, then wondered, Is she really that scared? Can't she swim? Her ears flicked as she looked at Carrotspots, confused. "Are you really scared?" She then snorted. "Or is it just, not comfortable?" She asked.

Falconpaw glanced at Winterpaw. "Ants in his nest?" he suggested.

Bravepaw frowned, glancing at Scarletpaw. "I'm going to go check on her." he informed, padding over to his sister. "Hi, sis." he smiled.

Scarletpaw jolted up, glancing at Bravepaw. "Oh, hi." she replied, still eating.

Doveflight screeched as a terrible pain seized her stomach, and as she shut her eyes closed in pain, she knew the kits were coming. "Help," she rasped, barely able to speak.

Ooc: Someone help her please :3

Lupinfeather heard the screech, and quickly bounded over to Doveflight. "Are you ok?" He asked, trying to figure out what was wrong.

Wetstream kept on resting. ZzzZZzz. He was going to wake up soon though, he had to go hunting for the clan.

OOC: Kits! So cute! XD

Peachpaw flicked her ears, bending down carefully to take a measly bite from a plump cod. She heard a yowl from the nursery and jolted upright, hurrying in with a frown. "Doveflight, are you-" she stopped herself and ran into the medicine den, poking Twistedleg. "Doveflight is kitting!"

Lupinfeather realized that Doveflight was kitting, from Peachpaw, and decided to wait for Twistedleg, not knowing what to do. He had seen herbs before and knew what they did, sorta, but he didn't want to risk it.

Scarletpaw suddenly stumbled over, her eyes drifting away. As the yowls faded into the distance, she was brought back to the past, reliving the moment of her brothers death again. She screeched, doubling over, her eyes watering.

Bravepaw rushed to scarlet, helping her up  and whispering in her ear, "It's okay, it's okay."

Twistedleg jerked his head up and quickly grabbed poppy seeds and a couple of damp moss. He limped as quickly as he could towards the yowling in the nursery. He stumbled inside and dropped the moss, quickly pressing his paws on her belly. "There should be three, coming out fast." He meowed with a nod to Peachpaw to grab a stick.

Lupinfeather backed up, he didn't want to get in the way. He watched Twistedleg, and Peachpaw. He wondered, I don't think I can help with this, I might as well watch.

Cypresspaw rushed into the nursery, fur fluffed up alarmingly. "How can I help?" she nervously asked Twistedleg.

Doveflight gave a small nod before another spasm reached her and she clenched her teeth, pushing out the first kit, a black she-cat.
