FireClan Fox Nests

Found near the FrostClan border at the top of the territory, the FireClan Fox Nests are a series of warrens and nests under the ground that often cave in or invite unwanted animals into the area. Not much grows here apart from pines and even when there aren't any occupants in the nests the place always seems to smell of foxes and badgers.

Redstar led her patrol here, her nose held high in the air for any sign of unwanted creatures. Growing into quite the showoff for a leader, she flicked her tail and purred, letting her Clanmates know it was safe.

Umberlight padded alongside Darkpaw, sniffing the air.
Birchstripe spotted a reddish shape moving within one of the dens and froze.

Jingle watched the cats from inside the abandon fox burrow, her golden eyes wide with interest.

Redstar approached behind Birchstripe, seeing a pair of glinting yellow eyes from inside the crack of the den. She raised a paw threateningly.
"Oh, foxy, come out, come out, wherever you are!" she mewed, a sly glimmer in her expression.

Jingle padded out from the den, her paws tapping gently along the ground. "Oh, hello!" she mewed.
Birchstripe hissed and unsheathed his claws. "What are you doing on our territory?"

Redstar put her tail out, a signal for Birchstripe to back off.
"Who are you? Do you want anything with us?" she began a gentle conversation, although she anxiously flexed her claws into the soil underneath her paws.

Birchstripe stepped down, his tail still lashing.
"Oh, I'm just a loner passing through here." jingle explained, watching Redstar's claws nervously.

darkpaw stared at the cat with narrowed eyes. why is it here.. are the rouges launching a attack! he thought before he looked around for any other rouges

Redstar peered into the abandoned den she had emerged from. She sniffed Jingle suspiciously.
"You smell of vole. Have you been stealing our prey?" she hissed.

Jingle backed up. "Your prey? Like, this is your territory?" Jingle mewed, tilting her head. "But, what were those cats from the moor doing here then..." she muttered.

cats from the moor!!! darkpaw thought as he stared at the cat. " what do you mean, cats from the moor.." he meowed, knowing as soon as he did that he shouldn't of. the leader would of asked that mousebrain! your not even a warrior yet, you don't ask that!!

"BrightClan was on our territory?" Redstar growled.

Jingle shrugged. "I dunno. Some big looking cats came here from the moor so I hid in this hole. They said something about 'FireClan' not minding. Is that your gang?" she explained.

"Our 'Clan'," Redstar corrected.
"And we never recieved a proper message from BrightClan. When did they leave?" she asked, snarling.
OOC: The moors are BrightClan, right?

IC: "Er, Clan I guess then. I dunno, I was trying to avoid being seen, they looked like they could have snapped my neck without a second thought!" she rambled.

Umberlight looked startled. Why would BrightClan come here? What if it really was just some rogue gang on our territory?
Rippleshade glanced nervously at Redstar, waiting for her to speak.
Jingle's eyes shifted around awkwardly.

"Thank you for telling us this, rogue." she meowed uncertainly.
She turned to her Clanmates with a scowl on her face.
"Let's go. You're free to stay, rogue, but don't cause any trouble." she added to Jingle, slightly unsure about her decision.

Birchstripe looked back at the rogue for a long while, gave an irritated snort, then followed Redstar.
Jingle gave a sly smirk then back into the fox den, where Shard was waiting.
"Well that was too easy." Jingle muttered, stretching.
Shard shrugged, "Well, that was only the first bit. Let's get out of here, we don't want to overstay our welcome."
The two rogues padded off towards FrostClan.

Acornwhisker led the dawn patrol across the rugged terrain towards the FrostClan border, her hackles raising as she scented DuskClan.

Robinpaw followed behind, tripping over some loose soil and nearly falling into an abandoned nest.

Karma purred. “No foxes. The Clans are adamant that they kick them out of their territory the moment they find them. Rabbits love it here.” She sunk her claws into the soft ground.

Karma nodded, the scent of rabbit making her mouth water. She padded over to one of the holes, and started wriggling down inside it. "I'll scare the rabbits out and you can kill them when they come out the exits."

Karma managed to make her way into a cat-sized hole, padding quietly until she came to a junction. Letting out a sharp yowl which echoed down both the tunnels, she heard scrabbling and felt the rush of fur as the rabbits scattered.

Dragon slammed her paw on a rabbit then pounced on another. She easily picked out the smaller ones, and frowned as some ran past her.

Karma darted for the largest one as she got to the surface again, managing to get a blow on it which weakened the fluffy thing before bowling it over and pinning it down.

“Nice catch!” Dragon said, holding 3 decent sized rabbits in her jaws. “Can I try to scare them out, if there’s another nest?” She asked.

Karma was about to reply but almost jumped as a fat drop of rain decided to fall on her head, making her jump a little and shake her pelt out. "Maybe not," she mewed, curling her nose and looking up at the sky. "That rain is cold."

“Well we better run back and eat this in the dens.” Dragon said. “Might even be a bit to much for us.” She added as a few large drops of cold rain splattered her pelt.
