WaterClan Sunstones

WaterClan's Sunstones are a collection of large, mostly flat boulders found not too far from the borders with the Gathering Island, and are a popular place for cats to relax and enjoy the sunlight in the warmer moons. Not much prey is found here, however small caves between the rocks can shelter badgers or foxes.

Twistedleg limped here, scenting the air carefully for yarrow. "I remember scenting some here, maybe around the rocks or hidden in cracks." He meowed out loud, shrugging.

Flowerbelly leaped at a small butterfly with joy, nearly face-slamming into one of the stones.
"What do you need again? Yarrow?" she mewed, watching in awe as the butterfly floated away in the wind.

Twistedleg looked at the shecat amused. He nodded and set off to searching some cracks.

Flowerbelly parted her jaws and peered inside one of the cracks, spotting some yarrow roots. She pulled them out with all her might and fell on her bottom, the yarrow flying and landing over Twistedleg's shoulder. She got up, shook herself off, and giggled.
"What a throw!" she praised herself, although she was still concerned in case the medicine cat got hurt.

Twistedleg let out a surprised yowl and scrambled away from the yarrow, thinking was something else. Noticing it was only flowerbelly's doing, he gave her a look."Next time, be a bit more careful, will you?" He meowed, rolling his eyes and picking it up in his jaws.

Flowerbelly's fur bristled as she picked up the yarrow.
Gee, it wasn't on purpose. she thought, somewhat offended as she sniffed inside some more cracks.

Twistedleg snorted and searched some more cracks.

A snake slithered around the cracks, aiming for flowerbelly's nose that was stuck deep inside its crack, it's home.

Flowerbelly yowled in fear, jumping back and pawing the snake away, sighing in relief as it let out a small hiss and slithered back into it's home.
"Ewww!" she exclaimed, watching it's little green scales disappear back in the crack.
"Maybe we should go back to camp. We have enough." she meowed shakily, picking up her pile of yarrow.

Twistedleg wanted to collect more, but figured she had a point. He nodded and picked up his bundle of yarrow and joined flowerbelly toward the path to camp.

OOC: Guys, seriously, put more thoughts into your posts! "Aquatail came in and sniffed the air" is so not thoughtful and has no detail at all. Come on!
IC: Flowerbelly skipped into the clearing, gazing in awe at all the warm stones. She scrambled on top of a colder one with some crunchy snow at the top and looked around, trying to get a better look and scent for prey. She caught scent of a squirrel and leaped towards the smell, only just then realizing it was stale.
"Well, I guess there isn't really a lot of prey out here," she muttered to herself, still bounding around in excitement for being outside with her brother.

"The swampy forest may have prey." Windpaw suggested, feeling the breeze ruffle her chocolate-Brown fur as she lifted her small nose to scent for any scrap of prey.

Salmonpelt nodded thoughtfully, the breeze blowing his silver fur (?). "Let's go there." he agreed, his eyes glancing at the apprentice. She sure knows her territory, and has been an apprentice for a while...

"Indeed! The water comes-uh-straight from the mountain...I think! It's melted glaciers!" Rippleshade purred, swishing his tail. "This is a nice-er...place to hunt, and to fish..or just to relax...I think I heard from an..er...elder once that we had to live here during a flood."

Sandstar trotted into the river and headed towards sunstones. He pulled himself onto the stones and shook his wet fur out. He sat down and let the sun warm his wet fur.

Shorepaw scrambled up the rocks almost immediately as she ran into the clearing. She sighed, feeling the warmth of the boulder on her back but the chilly breeze over her stomach. She admired the scenery, preferring not to say anything in fear of ruining the moment.

"I know! My mom told me all about it. I mean, it's right by the water, so it's clearly ours." Shorepaw sniffed, shuddering as rain began to softly patter down on her fur. She jumped as lightning cracked open the sky. "Eek!"

Cloudgaze stumbled upon the stones, collapsing in exhaustion, his breath raspy. He wasn’t used to such far distances at this age.
