Dakota shivered a little bit, nudging her kits closer to her. "Will you show us?"

"Yeah." Shadowkit said after a moment. "I guess." she turned and darted away, really hoping that she remembered the way.

Whitekit followed closely behind and glancing behind her every now and then to make sure the other cats were still following. Even if Shadowkit didn't remember the way back, then Whitekit did

Blackswan dove into the darkness of the tunnels, already following the trail of a rabbit. She plunged deeper into the hills of soil and returned to fresh air with a rabbit clamped in her jaws. She energetically tossed it under an elderberry bush to collect later, and dug back into the tunnels enthusiastically, not caring that her buddies had not followed her for the hunt yet.

Tanglefur prowled through the tunnels, alert for prey. The intoxicating aroma of a fat rabbit plunged into his nostrils and his mouth watered as he followed its smell.

Blackswan smelt only the fresh aroma of Tanglefur, the senior warrior who she shares a den with, and smiled. She prowled after a rat and pounced, easily killing it off with one rough bite. She leaped like a rabbit and dug out of the tunnels to toss this under the elderberry bush with the other pieces to collect later, when they leave.

Tanglefur spotted that rabbit and pounced on it, killing it. He was glad he didn't have to run in the damp, dark tunnels.
