WaterClan's White-Cove Beach

The White-Cove Beach is a rare oddity in this area, and not something that WaterClan readily shares with other Clans. Situated nearer to BrightClan territory on the sea-side, the small area is named for the white sand that layers the beach. The water is clear and can get quite warm during the greenleaf moons, and small fish are very common in the waters, regardless of season. Other sea creatures like crabs and jellyfish also occasionally wash up here, but be warned of the current if you swim out past the rocks that shelter the sea-side entrance. Rocks dot the water, breaking into rather large islands down the coastline, and small springs trickle down the cliffs which can make going down from the Swampy Forest a little tricky too.

Lilyshadow walked across the sand towards the water. She stopped, looking at the water.

Thundersong followed, letting the breeze ruffle his fur. He watched Lilyshadow the whole time as they stopped about a tail-length away from the water. He looked out onto the (Lake? Ocean? River? Ehh??) and purred. "At least here isn't flooded."

Lilyshadow crouched down, ignoring him. Just before he could ask, she pounced, and walked out of the water with a crab in her mouth.

Thundersong blinked fondly. "Nice catch." he mewed, watching small fish in the water. A larger fish came into view. He raised his paw and unsheathed his claws. Slowly, the larger fish ate the smaller ones and he scooped it into his paw, killing it.

Thundersong blushed. "Oh... I didn't think of that. Knowing that she's my sister, I'd think she'd approve but..." he fell silent. "Alright, I got an idea. Let's head back." he got to his paws.

Feathercloud eventually came to the cove beach, not paying any attention to Thundersong and Lilyshadow. She found a spot she used to go to when she wanted to relax or think. It was covered with thick leaves and small bushes, but gave her a view of the water beyond. She didn't check to see if anyone had followed her, and of they did, she wouldn't mind.

Otterpaw raced forward, his long legs pulling him forward. He skidded to a halt, sending up stones. "I won!" He declared loudly as he faced Lilyshadow eagerly.

He twitched his ear. "That's easy. Sit and wait. Don't let the minnow see your shadow or it will be scared off. Once it's in the open, swipe a paw and bring it on the land. Then kill it." He said.

"I thought FireClan and FrostClan were the mouse-hunters." He said. He'd rather catch fish than mice. Stalking and hiding just didn't seem right.

"But there might not be mice. I want to learn how to catch big fish and crabs." He said. I don't like mouse. It's gross. He thought as he remembered trying it once. It had tasted musky and bland. It's fur kept getting in his tounge and making it itchy.

"Yes!" He said eagerly. He wanted to know how to catch fish bigger that minnows. Maybe trout. He frowned, trout lived in rivers so he probably wouldn't find one today.

Otterpaw perked up. "With rabbits, you need to be somewhere where the rabbit can't smell you. You also need to be fast. Mice can feel pawsteps so you have to be quiet." He said.

Otterpaw nodded. Maybe if I try.... He thought as he leaped into the icy cold waves. Salt burned into his eyes as he made his way out. He felt like he was doing okay until a large crash came over him. A wave had hit him, sending him under. He resurfaced only to breathe in salty water. His lungs burned like fire. SoulClan help me!!! He thought desperately.
