ic: Thrushflight wandered away, reveling in the feeling of warm sunlight on his fur. His nose twitched as a familiar scent crossed his nose. "Amberstar? I can tell you're here..." he mewed, and the former Clan leader emerged from the bushes, purring as the sunlight dappled his sandy coloured pelt.

Amberstar nodded sadly. "The sickness that is ravaging BrightClan at the moment is called redfever. But I think you might've figured that out by now?" he mewed.

"Redfever?" Rubystripe looked at her apprentice before frowning and looking back at Amberstar, memories of her nightmares forming in the back of her mind. "What do we need to do?"

Amberstar sighed deeply, causing Thrushflight's dread to sink deeper. "The last time it caused a pandemic. Half of the Clan was killed off, and the kits were the worst off." he mewed quietly. "The cure is a herb that you mightn't have heard of before, called rue."
The medicine cat apprentice tilted his head. "Rue?"

Rubystripe looked at her paws for a moment before blinking. "I saw that herb in a couple of dreams I've been having! But... when I tried to get to it, it was covered by frost, or dead." she ended in a harsh whisper, shaking her head.

Amberstar smiled. "Then our signs were getting to you." he purred. "The only surviving rue is located in the Twolegplaces." His gaze cleared a bit more. "WaterClan is also in search of a herb to save their clan."
Thrushflight nodded.

Thrushflight skidded to a stop in front of Thornfang, who jumped in suprise. "Thrushflight? what's the matter?"
The younger tom caught his breath in small gasps. "Herbs....quest...warriors...Amberstar...."

Amberstar winked. "No, but it seems that you need a little guidance." he mewed.

Thrushflight managed to catch his breath back properly. "Amberstar sent me. Is WaterClan struggling with an outbreak of sickness?" he asked.
Thornfang stiffened. "Y-yes. Blackfever. Why do you ask?"
"He suggested a quest. We need rue."

Rubystripe went to say something but she was already gone. Scoffing, she turned away. "Perhaps his old age is messing with his mind..." she muttered but she couldn't shake the feeling that he was hiding something.
"Rue?" Brackenstorm looked up at Thornfang. "But... we don't need rue. Where does it grow?" he glanced back at Thrushflight.

ooc I think we did that Twolegs will cut down trees in Leafclan territory and they'll catch some of Brightclan's sickness... that's what I found.

Sandflight appeared here and looked around. She was relieved that she wasn't sick anymore. "Hello?" She called as her voice echoed in the shadows of the starry cats.

Swiftwind arrived here too but away from Sandflight. They were in different parts of the territory. As well as Sandflight was, Swiftwind was also glad that she was finally free of the sickness.
