An earthquake has shaken the forest, destroying the territories as the Clans know it and killing dozens of cats. Forced to band together, the cats journey in search of a new home.

A giant crevasse along the Western Moorland formed by an earthquake. It's impossible to tell how deep it goes just by looking at it. The crack produces a pungent sulfur smell.

Glidefeather slowed his pace and started to watch his step a little more carefully as he reached the rather large split in the ground, holding his tail up to stop the two cats with him. "The ground feels...hollow."

Stagshade began to step cautiously towards the gap in the ground. "Are you sure this wasn't here before?" he mewed, looking at the looming chasm.

"I see..." Stagshade mewed. A wind blew over the chasm, wafting the smell of rotten eggs towards him. He backed up rapidly, gagging from the stench.

Hawkpaw stared wide-eyed at the chasm, stepping quickly backwards when the stench was pushed from it. He looked toward Stagshade, blinking and quickly following his mentor.
