ST Braided Creeks | The Caves

Amongst the many trailing water paths are a series of caves, echoing and large, that house the group currently lead by Obsidian. The Caves appear to have been carved from the stone by the water, which is clear, unfrozen, and drinkable in any season. In some areas they are shallow enough to open to the surface and let light in, housing small areas of herbs that can be easily protected from snows and frost.
Obsidian's Group lives in the largest cave, with thick tree roots lining the walls and digging in to create small hollows used as single or double nests. It is open at one end to the sky, and during winter the group covers almost the whole entrance to protect them from snowfall.

Obsidian squeezed through the small gap left in the winter cover, a rabbit dangling from his jaws and walking proudly into the main cave.
