Flamepaw tensed as the ground beneath his paws began the tremble. "Again?" he mewed, hackles raised.

Kestrelskip yelped at the earth below began to tremble and groan.

Stagshade shrunk towards Plumdrop, wrapping protectively around her as the earth shook.

Hawkpaw curled closer to his brothers, fur fluffed and his amber eyes wide with panic.

Rowanscar curled closer to Aspenflake, shielding his sister.

Cloudedpool inhaled sharply and shrunk to the floor, claws sinking into it.

Midnightkit yelped and buried himself into his mother's fur, shivering.

Cedarpaw swallowed harshly, looking up at his brothers. "You've got to be kidding me..." he groaned, stress tensing up his muscles and eyes darting around.

Plumdrop bristled but leaned against Stagshade, glad for his presence.

Rabbitpaw managed to stay on his paws, staying close to his siblings.

Cherrywind tucked her kits tightly against her, while Glidefeather tried his hardest not to fall over.

Kestrelskip steadied herself as the tremors slowed. "I...Is it over?" she mewed shakily.

Stagshade noticed that the shaking had stopped and jerked away from Plumdrop, awkwardly looking away from her. "Uh...are you, uh, alright?" he stuttered.

Flamepaw stumbled and fell as the trembling stopped, grumbling with annoyance.

Nightbrook trotted in after her, holding her own rabbit. She wrinkled her nose at the stench coming from some of the cats.

Plumdrop felt her fur grow hot with embarrassment. "Yeah, I'm okay. We uh, we have news from FireClan too," she mewed a little stiffly.

Glidefeather swayed a little but managed to stay on his paws. "I think so?"

Rabbitpaw stayed where he was on the ground, sighing.

"What kind of, uh, news?" Stagshade mewed.

Petrelflight dropped her rabbit on the slim freshkill pile and padded toward Stagshade, waiting for Plumdrop to be done talking to him so she could tell him about the burrow collapse.

"I hope this isn't going to be a thing now," Kestrelskip snorted.

Nightbrook dropped the body of the rabbit and padded slowly to Petrelflight's side, glancing nervously at her. She'd only barely caught what Plumdrop had said, and waited quietly to see what it might be.

Cloudedpool flicked her tail and sat down, glancing toward the moors. Rather than speak up, she waited for Plumdrop to tell what they had found out.

Plumdrop glanced back at her patrol. "FireClan is where the stench is coming from. They... well, they stink."

Cloudedpool nodded in confirmation, wrinkling her nose. "Like rotten eggs," she meowed, and glanced around. "I doubt our scent markers can even be noticed beneath all that stench."

"They smelled more like it than you do," Cloudedpool mewed, "So if they have a chasm too, it's got to be closer to their camp and really big."

Umberdash thought for a moment. Could it be linked to the volcano? But he hadn't smelled smoke, or whatever it could have smelled like.

Glidefeather sighed a little, glancing at his sister. "I really hope not. I remember one of the elders telling us about when FireClan's volcano erupted, they had small shakes in the ground. I didn't believe them," he admitted.

Rabbitpaw shook the falling snow out of his fur for what felt like the thousandth time. "We'll adjust," he shrugged. "I suppose we just wait and see what's going on with the warriors."

Flamepaw let out a ragged gasp as he spotted a wall of water surging over the horizon.

Stagshade froze and looked towards the sea, spotting the water rushing towards them. "Everyone run!" he called, racing towards the exit of camp.

"Evacuate!" Petrelflight shouted, darting out the entrance.

Kestrelskip let out a shriek, nudging Glidefeather towards the camp entrance.

"Flamepaw, go!" Hawkpaw shoved his brother, going to help Cedarpaw right after, only to be swept up by the water.

Rowanscar tried to push Aspenflake ahead of him, frantically trying to save his sister, but she darted back to Rabbitpaw, dead set on trying to aid her apprentice.

Cloudedpool was scooped up by the water with a shriek, claws extending within it as she tried to fight to stay afloat, water surging into her lungs.

Nightbrook ran alongside Rowanscar, dark pelt fluffed with panic.

Umberdash tried to grab at Cloudedpool. He managed to grab her scruff and pull her, but he too was tumbled away. He tried to right himself but was hit by the body of another cat, but he couldn't tell who.

"HAWKPAW!" Cedarpaw screeched, but ran anyways.

Duckpuddle ran as fast as he could, searching the area for his brother. He snatched up Midnightkit along the way, darting around obstacles in a flurry of adrenaline.

Cricketsong watched the scene unravel with wide eyes. She spotted her littermate, Stagshade near the exit of camp and dashed to him, dodging the colossal splashes of water coming from all directions. She watched Cloudedpool and Umberdash being scooped up into the waves and gasped, turning her back to the scene and putting all of her stamina into running as fast as she could out of camp.

Sparrowkit leaped as far as her tiny legs could take her before a wave came up from underneath her and swept her into the current. She shrieked, trying to gasp for air but only cold water gushing into her lungs.

Flamepaw hauled himself out of camp, using all his energy to push himself forward.

Petrelflight stumbled on a rabbit hole, falling on her face with a sharp pain in her front paw. She set her face in determination and kept running, slowed by her twisted paw.

Stagshade ran onto the grass, paws thrumming against the tough earth.

Kestrelskip felt the water rush over her, tumbling and thrashing as the wave carried her.

Plumdrop felt her paw pads tearing in the rough dirt, but knew that if she didn't keep going she'd be caught up too.

Rabbitpaw shrieked as he slipped, the ground opening beneath him and plummeting into darkness.
"Rabbitpaw!" Glidefeather howled for his old denmate, but kept going.

Petrelflight felt the water catch her, sweeping her off her paws with a horrified yowl.

Stagshade ran alongside Plumdrop, not looking back for his other Clanmates.

Flamepaw caught up to the deputy, paws burning from the strain of running.

Nightbrook sobbed when she saw Petrelflight get caught in the water, stumbling in her strides, only for Rowanscar to catch her and shove her onward. The pair caught up to the deputy, following him.
