Stormshade peered into the leader's den, anxious to ensure that the snake had made itself scarce. Stormshade stepped through the vine curtain, and once he was satisfied that he had disturbed no other creatures, he curled up into a ball. He stayed awake for a while, listening to the other cats retire, until finally the beating of the rain lulled him to sleep.

Swanpaw nodded. Where are the cobwebs? she wondered. "Will you need a translator?" Lilypaw asked. she kenw that she was one of the only cats who could tell what Swanpaw was trying to say.

Summerdream laughed. "I think I can understand Swanpaw." she mewed. Medicine cats were trained to notice differences in personality, attitude, and feeling, so it shouldnt be hard for her to understand Swanpaw.
