Mallowpaw, Whitepaw, Nightpaw, and Dawnpaw slept close to one another while Honeypaw slept a little further away.
Rainpaw yawned, stretching and padding out of the medicine den.

Bloodsplash sat at the fresh-kill pile, cleaning his icy white fur that blended in with the tufts of snow that surrounded him. I should go hunt later. The fresh-kill pile isn't looking as full as I thought it should be. I won't take anything from it until I hunt, Bloodsplash thought.

Bloodsplash looked around and layed his eye on the Apprentices' Den. He thought ambitiously, Someday I'll get an apprentice. Then I'll have the experience for deputy. His claws slid out as he thought of being leader of the Clan. He shook his head, his expression calm again and he sheathed his claws. I shouldn't think like that, he told himself. Like I'd kill for power. I'd get nowhere... nowhere...

Whitepaw shifted a bit, accidentally hitting Nightpaw with his tail. The black tom groaned and sat up, yawning.
Dawnpaw smiled. "Come on now, you can't go chasin' dreams every mornin' We got work to do!"
