Viperstar flicked his tail. "We will work together as one Clan. I will lead, along with Musicstar, and the four deputies will be under us. The medicine cats can work out what they're doing..." he glanced at them, earning a nervous gulp from Saffronflame. "SunClan will be just as mighty as it is in the legends we tell. Nothing will ever defeat us."

Faltermist thought quietly. There were bound to be cats who didn't want to join. She would need to talk to Viperstar. She padded over to Blueshine. "Am I the only one noticing some flaws? I don't want to disrespect him, but there is bound to be a huge disagreement. The warriors den needs expanding... I think it could have been more thought out. We should talk to Viperstar." She finished, looking at the other deputy.

OOC: Too many cats to type out all the reactions...

Birdfeather did not like the idea of the two clans joining permanently, but couldn't deny they were stronger together. She looked at her paws with a troubled expression.

Stonedust, Rosepaw and Patchpaw stare at the leaders in open horror.

Ashmark stares at the leaders blankly as he listens and then slowly breaks into a smile as he finally understood Viperstar's intentions. Maybe Viperstar wasn't being as mouse-brained as he thought by sheltering the LeafClan cats.

Autumndapple was surprised at the clans merge. She hadn't been expecting that.

Adderkit yipped in glee. "More playmates!"

Blueshine nodded. "Security as well, cats are sure to start fighting. A few seasons ago we were killing each other, it's not something easily forgotten. The medicine cats also seem a bit edgy..." she mewed.

Faltermist nodded at Blueshine. "The medicine cats, definitely. The plan is ~~adipose~~ good, but I think he should have asked his deputies. He sort of did... but we really didn't get a say in it." Faltermist looked over at the cats who were openly against Viperstar's decision, flicking an ear in that direction.

Ic: Musicstar got to her paws. "I believe that this is in the best interest for LeafClan," she glanced down at cats who were, until a few minutes ago, hers, and flicked her tail. "SunClan will be mighty. Uniting the forest under one Clan means that no cat will starve, no fighting between them, and that if one part is in need..." she trailed off. "They will be helped."

Patchpaw narrowed her eyes, wondering how Viperstar had gotten that nonsense into Musicstar's head.

Stonedust just shook his head as his leader spoke. "There has always been several clans in the forest. It is SoulClan's will."

"We are stronger than SoulClan," Viperstar growled back, his claws sinking into the Rock beneath him. "They are dead. They have no power over us. We can do as we please."

Rosepaw's eyes narrowed in anger at Viperstar. "How dare you! SoulClan are real. They watch over us and they see our every move!" Her ginger tail lashed. "How do you expect your medicine cats to stay here when you say such things?"

Stonedust had opened his mouth to say something, but closed it as Rosepaw spoke out. The apprentice had spunk and he could not have said it better himself.

Viperstar leaped off the rock, and padded up to the apprentices. "SoulClan are deranged fools," he growled quietly, getting his face right into Rosepaw's. "If you want to believe in them, then fine. If you don't, then you'll be a welcomed warrior." He flicked his tail and glanced at all of the medicine cats. "That goes for everyone."
Musicstar gulped and looked down at her paws, unable to even meet the cats' eyes.

Ooc: you know he really does need cats to follow him unwittingly, otherwise this plot is just going to fail.

OOC: I thought the point was that some cats leave and go to the other clans. That sparks the war. My cats that are leaving are speaking out. Doesn't make sense for them to leave quietly... :/ Especially since Rosepaw is a medicine apprentice.

Rosepaw didn't flinch at Viperstar's advance. She couldn't believe her ears. "Then I guess I won't be welcome." She lifted her chin defiantly.

Ic: Viperstar flicked his tail. "Fine. Leave. See what other Clans take you in," he growled, leaping back up on to the rock. "You'll be taken in if you return, however. Because SunClan will honour loyalty to your Clan over everything." He tucked his tail around his paws. "Meeting dismissed."

Stonedust looked at his mate Saffronflame. His expression was troubled. "Your apprentice is a bit...outspoken."

Rosepaw huffed and turned the other way. Her tail went up in the air, another show of defiance. She headed for the exit.

Patchpaw hurried to her siblings side. She nudged Redpaw. "What do you think about this?"

Redpaw shook his head, glancing around for his father and turning his nose up when he saw him still standing with Birdfeather. "I...I honestly don't know, Patchpaw." He flicked his tail, a worried sort of expression crossing his face.

Saffronflame nodded slowly. "She is. But she knows what she's doing." she mewed quietly.

Faltermist sat quietly, nodding with Viperstar's calm attitude towards things. She waited for Blueshine's answer. Faltermist thought about it. Merging the Clans wasn't a bad idea. It just needed something more.

Stonedust didn't say anything in return and watched the apprentice's back as she left the camp. If Saffronflame stayed, he stayed, regardless of his beliefs.

Scorchviper cautiously padded over to Viperstar rolling his eyes "I'm not saying this is a good idea, I'm actually thinking you an idiot for dreaming this up Viperstar, but you are my leader, and however much fluff is in that noggin, I'll follow it. You need me, as I'm one of the strongist here, so be grateful I'm loyal to Cloudclan." he said nudging the other tom's shoulder good-naturedly. He smirked, watching his leader process his words.

Kestreldragon padded over to his former leader "So Musicstar Leafclan is gone? Is that truely the wisest decision? For our clan? Viperstar basically told you your equal to a deputy, 9 lives or no. And your going to take that? I guess you weren't the good leader i thought you were" He said disappointment radiating off him as he glared at Scorchviper's exchange before shaking his head and padding over to a group of Leafclan warriors.

Burnpaw went to Musicstar next, tears streaming from her eyes "S-so i'll never be a L-leafclan warrior?" she said in a heartbreaking voice, her tears falling faster as she looked at her old leader with hope that she was wrong.

Burnpaw went to a corner to process the heartbreaking news. She was so angry at the leaders, especially Musicstar for not standing up for herself and the clan. She snarled to herelf, whispering to herself

Ivyheart gathered her kits. She didn't trust Viperstar at all.

Mousekit stared admiring toward Viperstar. What a bold move! Mousekit wanted to be a leader just like him.

Musicstar whipped around and shoved her face right in Brambleheart's. "You doubt my judgement? SoulClan's abandoned us. Our territory is destroyed, we have nothing left. Our only choice is to stay here, or even the memory of LeafClan would be lost. We are SunClan now, and nothing else."

Cats are supposed to be too scared to stand up to Musicstar and Viperstar. Only after he tries to recruit BrightClan do cats really decide that they've had enough and leave.
One or two cats grumbling is fine, but they shouldn't actually be standing up to them.

Birdfeather still felt torn at the thought of the merge, but she was loyal to Musicstar. She glanced at her sisters and her mate, wondering what their thoughts were on the matter. She doubted she'd leave Musicstar, but...

Patchpaw flicked her ear at the other cat's speaking up, willing the leader's to respond in some way that gave away all their intentions. To be honest, she didn't care all that much about the merge itself and was mostly burning with curiosity over the leader's thoughts. She wanted to know why Musicstar and Viperstar had done such a thing.
