Waterclan camp

Softstar looked at her medicine cat. The kit/kits were coming fast. She was in a lot of pain.

Rockshade sat out side the den looking around the camp worried.

Nightpaw noticed her mentor looking around camp she ran over to him. "What is happening?" she asked "Softstar's kits are coming." he mewed with wide eyes.

Spottedcloud nodded and hurried to get the stick.

Frostwater noticed the commotion and wondered aloud "What is going on? Um Lilacpaw, wait here. Something is happening, but I am not sure what it is that is happening, ok? After I find out what is happening, then we will go out and do some training and take a tour of the Waterclan territory, okay?"
She hurried over to the Blazeripple and asked "What is going on? Is Sofstar, okay?"

Brightsnow noticed the commtion, but was unsure of what to do. She decided to go out and do some 'Speed Hunting' for the new kits.
She snorted in disgust on her way out when she heard her sister. She was so mousebrained, it was a complete shock that she was even a warrior.

Rockshade just stared at the entrance to the nursery so Nightpaw answered "Softstar is having here kits!" she mewed worried for her leader.

Softstar was in a lot of pain with the kits coming fast.

"Oh." said Frostwater. She then turned to Blazeripple and asked "Is there anything I can do?"

Blazeripple nodded. "You can help me calm Softstar down. Sometimes kitting is very stressfull on a queen, and they can get delirious. Just talk calmly to her, like you would a frightened kit." The medicine cat then turned to Kindleheart. "Thanks, sis. Can you give the borage to Softstar?"
Kindleheart shrugged, and padded over to her leader. "Softstar," she said in a soothing voice. "Eat these, okay? The pain will soon be over, and you will have beautiful kits!"

Spottedcloud gave her the stick

Softstar eat the herbs and bit down on the stick she began to calm down but the pain was still there with the kits coming fast.

"You're gonna be okay Softstar" she told her leader

ooc: Dove! Stop holding it out on us!

ic: Blazeripple rested his right ear on Softstar's stomach. "One kit. Coming fast. Push Softstar push!" he said encouragingly.

Kindleheart paced around outside, almost tripping over Lilacpaw. "Sorry!" she said. Lilacpaw shrugged, and padded into the apprentices den, hoping to get some sleep.

Mistydawn sat in the nursery, her eyes full of encouragement for her leader.

Spottedcloud sneezed then watched.

A strong black and wight tom quickly came. Softstar looked at him.

Rockshade looked around as the noise faded. He poked his head in and purred looking at his mate and his new kit. Rockshade padded in and sat by his mate.

ooc: Lol i thought you ment came into the camp like through the entrance barrier XD

ic: Blazeripple purred. "A tomkit! That's the only one." He sighed happily, knowing that his leader and her kit would be safe. Unlike Briarleaf....

Kindleheart purred as she stuck her head in the gap. "How many? Names?" she said.

Lilacpaw slept soundly.

Mistydawn purred in happiness. Soon there would be even more kits in the Clan!

Softstar looked at her mate. "One tom kit. What should we name him?" she asked Rockshade. "What about Crowkit?" Rockshade asked. "Yes that is a great name" she mewed turning to her kit. "One tom kit named Crowkit" she sighed tired. She started to fall asleep. Rockshade stayed with her.

Blazeripple purreed. "I suppose I can trust you and Mistydawn to loook after Softstar," the medicine cat joked to Rockshade.
"It's a beautiful name," Mistydawn added.
Blazeripple padded out of the nursery. "It's a tomkit, everyone! Called Crowkit. He's beautiful, but i dont want anyone to go and see him just yet. Softstar needs to sleep." he explained, then padded over to the medicine den to sleep. "And i suppose you should all head to your nests, too. Lilacpaw and Kindleheart have the right idea!" he yowled at the cats from his den as he settled in to sleep.

Softstar fell asleep with Rockshade asleep next to her.

Nightpaw has been waiting out side but now she just went to the apprentice den.

"Oh my! What a cute little tom kit! Crowkit, what a wonderfully amazing super duper name, Rockshade! He is soooooooo cute! He is sure to be a great warrior, just like his parents." remarked Frostwater. She was glad that the kit came out so quickly, she did not want to have to deal with a long, messy birth.
She looked at Blazeripple and wondered if maybe one day, in the future would they have kits and be a happy little family? She certainly wanted that, but did he?
She padded off to the warriors den and settled down in her nest before gently falling asleep.
In her dream she dreamed of a horrible fire, destroying everything as she called out to Blazeripple. She was stuck, surrounded by the fire. The only way out was to climb the trees around, which were quickly catching on fire, but she was so terrified of heights! She couldn't do it. And so the fire came closer and she laid down, allowing the fire to burn and consumer her body.
Suddenly, the fire was gone. She was back in Waterclan camp with Blazeripple purring beside her as he stroked her belly with his tail. She smiled back, knowingly.
The dream changed once more and this time she was looking at a cat. A dead cat. Blood surrounded her body, pooling out of her. Beside her laid a few kits. She stared in shock, while Blazeripple sobbed.
Frostwater woke up in shock. Was that body...hers?

Brightsnow purred for Softstar's new kit, Crowkit. She has always wanted to find a mate and have kits as well, but she didn't now if that could ever happen.
She was so honest and so energetic. Plus she wasn't pretty, or smart, or even a good swimmer, despite living in WATERclan. She didn't think she would ever find a mate, unlike her perfect older sister, Frostwater. She has an apprentice and a soon-to-be mate already under her paws. Her life was perfect, and always had and would be.
She sighed, feeling very tired all of a sudden, which was unlike her. She trudged to her nest, deppressed.
Next to her, Frostwater tossed and turned in her sleep, dreaming no doubt of some activity she would be doing with Blazeripple in the near future. Disgusted, she got out of her nest and walked out of the camp to do some early (or late) hunting.

Softstar purred in her sleep dreaming of what her kits would do when they grow up.

Rockshade was asleep by his mate and kit.

Crowkit mewed in his sleep then twitched.

Blazeripple's ears twitched as he slept. He woke suddenly, gasping for breath. "Fro....!" he managed to stifle his yowl just in time, and blinked slowly. The orangey tomcat padded out of his den, and sat staring at the moon. "Oh Spiritclan! Is that her destiny? Will Frostwater die bearing my kits?" he mumbled under his breath, inside his head yowling for help. He had not meant to, but had kinda....spied on Frostwater's dream. His head snapped up as a shecat padded out from the warriors den. "Frostwater? Is that...? Oh, hello Brightsnow," he said calmly.

Lilacpaw and Kindleheart slept calmly.

Mistydawn twiched, thinking she felt a pain in her belly, but turned over and fell back asleep just after.

Rockshade slept by Softstar in the nursery.

Softstar woke up from a bad dream and heard something out side. She got up slowly not to disturb her mate or new kit then poked her head out of the den.

Blazeripple's head spun around as he heard somecat come out of the nursery. "Softstar! Im so sorry if i woke you!" he apoligized.

"No you did not wake me" she mewed yawning.

Rockshade slept in the nursery with his kit, Crowkit. Crowkit twitched in his sleep.

"No," mewed Brightsnow "I am not my perfect older sister, Frostwater, now am I? But I would absolutely honored to point you to her direction. She's in the warriors den. Now, I am going to go barf behind a tree. Good day, sir."
And with that Brightsnow promptly walked out of the camp, threw up behind a tree and walked off into the forest.

Frostwater shook her head in shock. Would she die, just like her mother? Maybe having kits wasn't such a great idea, she thought as she stumbled out of the warrior den, in a daze.

ic: Blazeripple paded over to his mate eagerly. "Frostwater!" he purred in her ear, glad that she was okay. Should i tell her that i saw her dream? he thought privately.

Spotted cloud came back into camp her pelt drenched in blood.

Blazeripple's jaw literally hit the floor. "Spottedcloud! What happened? Frostwater! Help me get her to the medicine den!" he said loudly.

Kindleheart yawned.

Lilacpaw rolled over and groaned.

Mistydawn (again) thought she felt a cotraction, but ignored it and slept.

"I was attacked by a dog" She explained

ooc: Drama. Here come Mistydawn's kits!

ic: Blazeripple looked at his motionless mate. "Okay, then, i'll get her to the medicine den. You can check on Mistydawn and Softstar, please Frostwater." the tom huffed. He then padded over to Spottedcloud's side and helped her to the medicine den. "Stay there," he motioned with his tail, pushing Spottedcloud into a small nest.

Mistydawn rolled over, and felt a massive cramp in her stomach. "Oww!" she gasped, not even bothering to ignore it. "Oh no," she breathed. "The kits!"

"it's nothing blazeripple" she said even though blood was still coming from the wound.

Blazeripple sighed and padded into the herb storage. "Marigold, goldenrod and ragwort should do it..." he said, pawing together a pile of leaves, and carrying it out to Spottedcloud.

Spottedcloud was desperately trying to lick the blood from her wound

"Oh my Spiritclan Spottedcloud! Are you okay? I mean you certainly don't LOOK okay! Those wounds must hurt a lot! Don't worry, Blazeripple is coming over with some herbs that will heal you right up! Wait, a minute. A dog? Did you kill it? Is it going to come to camp? OH MY SPIRITCLAN THERE IS A DOG ON OUR TERRITORY! SOFTSTAR! SOFTSTAR! WE NEED SOME LEADING! What should we do? I can fight if you guys want me to! But maybe I should have some backup just in case. Oh dear. What should we do, Blazeripple?" rambled Frostwater, in a huge storm of emotions.

Blazeripple whacked his tail over his mate's mouth. "Stop. Now. While you're in the nursery, you can check on Mistydawn and Softstar for me. I have a feeling Mistydawn's kits are coming soon..." he said, then placed the herb poultice on the clean and gaping wound on Spottedcloud's side. "Hang on," he said then placed a wad of cobweb on the warriors wound. "Now SLEEP!" he commanded.

Mistydawn groaned as her stomach gave another massive contraction.

"the dog attacked me from behind and pinned me down. Then before I hAd time to dodge his teeth sank in my fur."

"Oh! Mistydawn is giving birth!? AT A TIME LIKE THIS?! Great Spiritclan, help us all!" cried Frostwater as she hurried into the nursery and cried "Is everyone okay? Mistydawn! You better not be giving birth or else you are going to have a timeout! YOU HEAR ME?! SO STOP IT!"

Mistydawn growled at the shecat. "Frostwater," she said impatiently. "You cannot stop giving birth-" she broke off with a yowl of pain. "Just get Blazeripple!" she pleaded. The tom was already in the nursery, pushing past Frostwater. "Okay. I want you to get as comfortable as you can and push," said Blazeripple, putting down the borage he had in his jaws. Mistydawn yowled as another powerful ripple headed up her belly. "The first kit's coming! Push!" Blazeripple pleaded with his sister. The first kit -a small bluegray shecat- fell onto the moss with a thump. "Lick!" Blazeripple siad as he passed the small kit to Frostwater.

"Oh. Me?" said Frostwater stupidly as she looked at this small little kit. She was so tiny! What if her tongue crushed it?! She would be gentle, she though as she gave the little kit tiny, soft little licks.

Blazeripple thwacked his tail over Frostwater's head. "Think, stupid! This is a kit. You're tongue's not going to break it!" he said. Mistydawn yowled, and two more kits quickly followed their sister. Blazeripple licked the first one after placing the shecat beside his mother's stomach. "Lith the other thun!" he said to Frostwater. "One kit lft, Mistydawn! You can do it!"

IC-Frostwater blanked out. "Blazeripple...you read my mind?! CAN ALL MEDICINE CATS DO THAT?!" her mouth formed a perfect O. A small pink tongue came out and began to gentle lick the other kit.

ooc: Dude, you overreacted. Blazeripple is good at reading emotions lol XD and at making assumptions

ic: Blazeripple sighed, and continued licking the small tomkit, then placed them both by Mistydawn's stomach. The fourth, another small tom, came quickly and Mistydawn sighed as the pain went away. "Four healthy kits. One shecat and three toms. They will be a handful!" Blazeripple remarked. Mistydawn purred in delight. "This one will be Sapphirepaw, because of her pelt. This one will be Nettlekit, this one Rowankit and this last one.... Driftkit." she purred, then lapped up the borage Blazeripple pushed towards her.

I love how in the family tree one part has like 4 generations planned out, but another only has like 2 xD

IC-Frostwater looked down at the kits and purred happily, her tail sitting on Blazeripple's shoulder. "Great job." she whispered into his ear. She then looked at his sister and said "They will be amazing kits."

Driftkit sucked on his mother's milk. He was blind, deaf and only desired milk.

Blazeripple purred. "They are the cutest kits i have ever seen!" And they are my kin too! he thought.

Mistydawn purred loudly. "Thanks, guys. Especially you Frostwater. Sarcasm is funny when you're in the middle of kitting!" she said sarcasticaly, a twinkle in her eye showing it was a joke.

Sapphirekit squirmed and drank milk.

"Uh....your welcome! Anytime, really!" said Frostwater, not realizing it was a joke. She looked down at the kits as they squirmed for milk. Her eyes turned sad as she realized that she had never had a life like that when she was kit. Nope, just action from Day 1! She briefly wondered how the father of the kits was.

Driftkit pushed Sapphirekit so he could drink some more milk.

ooc: Im thinking Frostwater isnt the sharpest knife in the drawer.... XD

ic: Mistydawn purred. "Well it looks like these two are fighting already!" she said, pointing with her tail to Sapphirekit and Driftkit. As she pointed, Sapphirekit gave a big yawn and opened her eyelids, revealing bright green irises.

IC-Driftkit snuggled deeper, and refused to open his eyes. (I was actually going to make him open his eyes; go thing I read his description)

Frostwater looked over at the kits and laughed. She thought about her dream and wondered once again if she should have kits. It would be so nice, but her dream...could it be a warning from Spiritclan? Should she tell Blazeripple?

Spottedcloud walked out of the warriors' den the next morning

Rockshade had picked up his kit who has wanted to go out side the den as the queen gave birth. Crowkit ran around the camp not listening to anything happening. Nightpaw quickly ran out of her den in time to see Spottedcloud come into the camp. She could not say anything so she went to sit by her mentor.

Softstar had been listening to everything happening. She got onto the Fallentree and mewed "All cats old to swim int he Deep Swamp gather beneath the Fallentree for a clan meeting!" She looked around.

Rockshade looked up and his apprentice, NIghtpaw did too. Crowkit looked around then saw his leader/ mother on the Fallentree and ran over to listen.

Rowankit drank milk and turned over then fell asleep.

IC-Frostwater snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Softstar's announcement. She walked over to the Fallentree to see what the announcement would be about. Would it be the dog that was loose in Waterclan territory? She hoped not! Maybe after fighting Spottedcloud it realized what a horrible mistake it had been made messing with a cat, especially a clan cat, and had run off, never to be seen ever again or to hurt a Waterclan cat!
