"Well...." Bluepaw hesitated again and then it all came out in a gush. "See, I was hunting and then i heard a cat over in the bushes, so i went to see and it was a loner, so i attacked her and tried to drive her off, but she said that someone was going to kill her and needed my help so..."
Pandora slowly came out from behind the bush, her ears flattened in worry.

Twilightfall stiffened slightly. "You did the right thing, Bluepaw. Thanks for bringing her to me." He turned to the shecat. "I'm Twilightfall, Alderpaw's mentor."

Sootpaw picked up her rabbit and chaffinch and dug them. "Oh boy, i just can't wait to show my Twilightfall what i caught!" she said excitedly.

Sootpaw saw the squirrel. As she was about to pounce she saw the rouge. She clumsily pounced distracted and landed hard with a mouthful of some snow.

Twilightfall half-smiled. "It's the Clan that owns this territory. I'm a senior warrior, and Alderpaw's mentor. I was taking Bluepaw, Sootpaw and Alderpaw out for a hunting session before it got dark."

Pandora forced back a small shudder. "Will I be safe there?" She asked, escaping still the only thing on her mind.

Alderpaw and Bluepaw both nodded in unison.

Twilightfall purred lightly, his tail flicking. "Okay. Bluepaw, Alderpaw, fetch your catches and let's head back to camp. I'm assuming you want to go to the gathering?"

"Yeah. but wait, who won?" Bluepaw started to run off but paused, remembering the competition.

Twilightfall glanced between them. "Sorry, Bluepaw, I think Alderpaw won this time..." he laughed, glancing around for Sootpaw.

Bluepaw let out a noise that was half a growl, half a huff. Then she took off after a snickering Alderpaw, yelling a threat.

Pandora watched them go, a slight smile pulling at her mouth.

Twilightfall glanced at Pandora, his tail flicking with amusement at the apprentices. "Just as a warning you might not be as welcomed as you'd like at first. Some cats are rather...bristly."

"Hey! All I did was be nice to her and decide to take her hunting! While I admit that I was messing around, I didn't think you'd be stupid enough to think that I'd honestly steal her from you! That shows that you don't trust your clanmates or your mate!" he hissed back at him.
Runesky frowned slightly. "He has a point Winterfang... Why did you even think we were doing something anyway?"

Winterfang sunk his claws into the dirt this time, trying to keep his outrage in check. "Being abandoned gives you trust issues," he replied, but all hint of the growl was gone.

Both Runesky and Winterfang looked at each other and deadpanned, turning back to the other tom with blank looks.
"Puddlesplash... your cousin who hates me... told you that apparently we're getting together behind your back?" Runesky asked in a monotone voice.
