Nyx purred, happy for the chase. She leapt into the tree again, bounding from branch to branch, and dropped in front of the apprentice. "Nowhere to go, rabbit chaser." she teased.

Nyx dodged the blow, and cleanly sliced Faithpaw's neck, a deep red gash appearing. "Have fun in SoulClan, rabbit chaser." she spat, turning around and walking away.

Rubystripe padded here, panting a bit as she looked around. "Faithpaw? Faithpaw where are you?" she called, wondering why the apprentice wasn't answering. After a few moments she found the blood that Nyx had rubbed off her paws and her eyes widened. "No... Faithpaw!" she followed the trail before seeing the apprentice's body.

Rubystripe let out a growl as she carefully maneuvered Faithpaw onto her back and stood, making sure the apprentice wouldn't fall. "There's no way this was a fox or a badger... the cut's too clean." she muttered to herself, slowly padding back to camp.

Owlpaw nodded politely but he longed for exploring the territory to be over, he wanted to kill his first (mouse/vole/whatever).
He looked at Fallowfern shyly, "How do you hunt?" He tried some way of putting it so that he wasn't so rude about exploring the territory.

Fallowfern smiled. "Dont worry about asking, I was almost exactly like that when I was an apprentice..." Almost. she added again in her head, remembering Mintfrost's attempt to kill her. "BrightClan hunts differently to the other Clans, because we dont have trees or rocks to hide behind or climb, or brambles to trip us up." she explained. "Its all about speed."

Fallowfern's ears pricked and she froze, watching as a snow white hare bounced softly into view. "Okay, watch this, and see if you can recognise what I'm doing," she mewed to Owlpaw, her gaze fixed on the hare at all times.

Fallowfern laughed. "Well, Twolegs sometimes make things called bridges over water. Luckily they haven't around us, but this bridge doesn't go all the way across the water, so its a Halfbridge." she mewed.

Dawnsky trotted into the clearing with a vole hanging low from her jaws. She hid it under a small elderberry bush and then sat by the ocean. She shook fur fur and decided to climb up the halfbridge and watch the fish from closer up. She reached down into the water to catch one, but accidentally flipped overhead and started squabbling to get back. She flapped her paws and finally managed to get back to shore. She sighed in relief, gasping for breath. She shook out her wet fur and headed back for camp. That was an odd experience.
