Kestrelflight shrunk back, cowering in her own pelt. She has never seen her leader like this. "Yes Jaystar!" she squeeked. "I'll tell the rest of the clan. Where would you like her to sleep?" she asked quietly, not wanting to upset him more.

Brightsnow slowly inched closer to Kestrelflight who seemed to be the most sane out of the group.

"Where where?" repeated Jaystar, a bit louder this time.

"Umm..." said Brightsnow as her voice trailed off. Maybe she should have left him at the cliffs.

She shook her head, giving up. "Ok, she can sleep in the Warriors den. Someone take him to his den, he obviously needs to think straight. Please, follow me." she said, nodding to the new cat.

Brightsnow followed Kestrelflight and whispered "What do you think happened to him? He certainly wasn't always like this."

ic: Shiningfrost watched the scene unfold without a flicker of emotion. "Right, we need hunting partols before this storm gets worse, she pointed out, watching the storm clouds gather.

Minnowsplash wondered why Jaystar was acting mad.

"No." she said simply, stopping at the entrance of the den. "What did you say your name was?" she asked, turning her head towards the cat. She wanted to make sure that she at least new the cat's name before she brought her into one of the camps busiest places.

"You sleep first, bro. I need to watch over ya to make sure something doesn't eat your face." said Jaystar to Foxear.

"Well, hello Bright. You can sleep near me. I have an open space." she said kindly, leading the rouge into the den. In truth, she just wanted to be able to keep a close eye on the new comer.

Moon had sat there long enought, not knowing if the cats gonna rip her into pieces or not. By the temper of the one they carried had. So she slowly went to Foxear and bowed her head: "I thank you for the mouse, but I better be leaving." He might even ignore her in his state of aleartness, so she turned her back and walked towards the exit.

"My blanket of darkness passes over the MOON!" said Jaystar as he collapsed into a fitful sleep as he tossed and turned all over the place.

"Thanks." purred Bright as she settled down and closed her eyes. It had been such an eventful (and tad confusing) day!

Shiningfrost purred. "Moon, its okay. You can stay. Jaystar isnt normally like this." she mewed cheerfully.

Minnowsplash padded into the medicine den, and stopped, flicking her ears. "Poppypaw?" she mewed. No reply. "Poppypaw...?" she said, louder. Still no reply. "Oh no. Poppypaw!!" Minnowsplash yowled, racing over to the apprentice. "She's dead." she whispered.

Shiningfrost purred. "Well, if you were a kit, then your name would have been Moonkit. Apprentice -like you are- would be Moonpaw. Warrior names, deputy names, and medicine cat names are unique. If you were leader, then your name would be Moonstar."

"Moonstar sounds fine, but let me guess, not everyone gets leader somewhen?", she curled her nose a bit in a small laughter.

Shiningfrost let out a loud laugh. "No, not everyone. I'm next in line to be leader, not that i dont like Jaystar. Shiningstar has a nice ring to it." she purred happily.

"Thankyou." Shininfrost purred, brushing up against the apprentice. "You'll learn a bit more about the Clan soon, dont worry. When I was Shiningkit, i wondered if there was more to the world than eating prey and playing. Now i know."

Breezepaw padded up to her mother. "Who's this?" she asked casually.

She purred and enjoyed the warm body of Shininfrost brushing agains hers. "Thank you, I'll try to learn everything." Then she looked at the other apprentcie. "I am Moon... well Moonpaw."

Breezepaw purred. "Hello, Moonpaw! I'm Breezepaw. Another apprentice. Poppypaw's here also, but i cant seem to find her..." she trailed off, wondering where her sister was.

Shiningfrost looked at the two apprentices. "I'll go find Poppypaw. Breezepaw can show you round the camp if you want, Moonpaw."

Foxear sniffed the air at the name Poppypaw. He had not seen her all day. Maybe he could take Moonpaw on a hunt because, she already knows the territory.

"Wait for me!" Breezepaw called, racing after the patrol going round the territory.

Shiningfrost padded into the medicine den, and looked around. Her ears pricked as she caught soft sobbing noises. The deputy padded into the darker part of the den, and looked around. "Minnowsplash?"
The medicine cat whipped her head around, and glared at the deputy. "Oh, Shiningfrost. Its you." she mewed. "I was just about to come and get you." The medicine cat glanced back to the nest behind her, and Shiningfrost gasped. "Poppypaw!" she yowled unhappily, pushing her nose into the apprentice's fur.
"I did all i could..." Minnowsplash sighed.
