"Can you guys smell or hear anything?" Poppyfall asked over her shoulder.
"I think I smell a rabbit but... it's a little faint." Aspenshade replied, looking at the other two warriors.

Wolfstorm shook his head. "I dont know."
Ashrose's ears pricked. "I can scent squirrel in the tree above us." she stated quietly

"Okay. Ashrose see if you can get that squirrel. Aspenshade, follow the rabbit scent. I'll go with Wolfstorm and see if we can find something else. Deal?" Poppypaw explained.
"That's fine I suppose." Aspenshade answered.

Ashrose nodded, unsheathing her claws and climbing up the tree beside them.

"Alright then, come on Wolfstorm." Poppyfall turned and disappeared so she wouldn't bother Aspenshade and Ashrose.
The tom padded after the rabbit scent, trying to see if the animal was still around.

Ashrose sat in the tree, pinpointing the squirrels scent.

Poppyfall glanced around, continuing to sniff the air to see if she could find anything.
Aspenshade found the rabbit and smirked before crouching down. It was scrawny but it'd have to do.

Snow begins to fall here, dusting the forest floor in feathery flakes.

Ashrose flicked an ear as she felt the snow begin to fall. She stalked through the branches, and leapt, catching the unsuspecting squirrel by the tail and breaking its neck.

Wolfstorm was tempted to jump and catch the snowflakes, but he had to remind himself that he wasn't an apprentice or kit anymore.

Poppyfall looked up and smiled widely, pulling herself on her hind paws and batting at the snow as it fell. She knew Wolfstorm would probably tease her but she didn't care.
Aspenshade smirked and leaped, finally catching the rabbit under his paws and nipping the back of it's neck to kill it.

Ashrose climbed down the tree, her squirrel clamped firmly in her jaws. "We might as well head back. All the prey's gonna go hide." she mewed.

Wolfstorm purred, copying Poppyfall.

Ashrose padded along, managing to track the other warriors scent.

Wolfstorm accidentally fell over on to Poppyfall.

Poppyfall laughed and quickly pushed him off, shaking she snow from her black and white fur.
Aspenshade saw them and blinked.

Wolfstorm's gray fur didnt stand out much, and he laughed as he fell into a snowdrift.
Ashrose smiled. "No prey I assume?"

Poppyfall jumped and slowly looked over her shoulder, seeing them. "Er... N- No." she muttered in embarrassment.

Ashrose smiled. "I was your age not long ago. But dont worry, there wouldnt be any prey anyway." she purred.
Wolfstorm brushed himself off sheepishly.

Russetface led his little patrol into the area. The sound of trees cracking and crashing filled the air along with the poisonous smell of monsters. Russetface gulped. "We're almost there, they were straight ahead of us when I was here. They smell closer."

Whisperspirit flattened his ears as he followed slightly behind the pair. "I don't like the look, smell or sound of this," he mumbled half to himself.

"Musicstar said-" Russetface's sentence was cut off by the sound of a tree splitting close to them. It crashed into the tree next to them and in turn, that tree began to fall. It was coming right for them! "RUN!" Russetface yowled, scrambling away.

Whisperspirit yowled as he started to sprint but immediately tumbled over a fallen branch, his eyes shining with horror as the tree seemed to fall towards him in slow motion.

Silverleaf blinked and looked at the tom, frozen to the spot. "Whisperspirit!" she screamed as he disappeared under the tree. Tears formed in her eyes and quickly overflowed, dripping onto the ground and her paws.

Russetface turned just in time to see his former mentor disappear. A look of horror replaced the fear on his face. "NO!" He yowled. Grief overtook him and rooted him to the spot. A twoleg must have heard the commotion and took advantage of Russetface's moment of weakness. It grabbed him by the scruff, picking up him and yelling before shoving him in a white box.

Silverleaf turned and saw the tom, her purple eyes widening even more. "Russetface!" she shouted, backing away. She knew she couldn't do anything, she didn't know what to do anyway, so she shook her head and lowered it, standing as still as possible. Suddenly she fell but didn't move and her eyes slowly closed.
