DuskClan Camp

Brindlekit yelped again, purring as she battered Cobaltkit with her forepaws happily. 

Moonpaw looked around the camp morosely, wondering whether her mentor would bother to even get out of his nest this morning. Stupid Thornfur. I'm never going to become a warrior at this rate! Even Rainpaw's learning better fighting techniques than me.

Talonstep padded over to the apprentice from the nursery, sheathed claws still managing to leave small marks in the ground. "Moonpaw, would you like me to train you today?" He meowed.

Moonpaw glanced up at the large warrior, frowning a little. "Uh, sure. Nobody else will, so why not." She stood and stretched.

Talonstep nodded and lead her towards the camp entrance. "What would you prefer to learn?"

Moonpaw shrugged. "I'm behind on everything, so anything's better than nothing."

"Combat it is," Talonstep meowed decisively, and lead her out. 

OOC: Where to?

Ic: Scorpionclaw sat at the far side of camp, shoulders hunched. She knew everyone had been talking about her since the battle. She unsheathed her claws, sinking them into the ground and hissing in annoyance. They are our rivals! What what was I supposed to do? Share tongues with them?

Vixenlight padded out of the nursery with Mistykit, sitting down while her daughter bounced between cats.

Mistykit looked up at Scorpionclaw, smiling after a moment and copying the way the warrior sat. I'm gonna be brave like her!


OOC: Mistykit aww, she's too cute

"Alright, let's head to the training grounds," Gingerpatch mewed, bounding out of camp.

Littleflower flicked her tail. "I'm taking a border patrol to check on the rogues! Anybody who wants to come, follow me." With that, she padded out of camp behind Gingerpatch.

Dawnfire padded behind Littleflower and Gingerpatch.

Tawnysky limped to the medicine den. "I think something's wrong with my paw?" she called, "I can't walk on it, it hurts."
Coldfoot rolled his eyes, stepping away from Blueshine, who was still asleep. "Let me see." he grumbled.
Tawnysky held out her paw. 
Coldfoot looked at it for a moment. "It looks fine, you probably just tore a claw." he huffed.
Tawnysky nodded and left the medicine den, limping.

Rainpaw bounced out after his mentor, tail waving happily.

Riverswoop padded up to Scorpionclaw and sat down beside her. "You okay?" he asked quietly, sensing she was a little distressed.

Magpiefur wheezed as slowly padded out the elder's den. His fur was ragged and it seemed like he hadn't cleaned himself in days. He slowly limped on his hind-leg, wincing at the pain it made. The black and white furred tom lay down in a patch of sunlight, half closing his eyes as he soaked in its warmth. However, soon enough a fit of coughs interrupted his peaceful nap.

Shrewpuddle scrunched her nose at the scent that drifted from the elder. "Might as well dig himself a grave, the old fleabag's been coughing forever," She muttered to her brother, Bramblefern.

Bramblefern slowly nodded in agreement, then quickly stooped down and ripped a chunk of meat off of a vole he was eating. The two newly made warriors seemed to have no respect for there elders anymore.

Hollyshade finished her last morsel of breakfast and nearly choked when she heard the wheezing coming from a corner of camp. She rushed over and saw Magpiefur in a fit of coughing. "Oh, Magpiefur, let me get you some honey," she meowed.

Featherpaw sat in front of her den watching the proceedings of the clans. She looked for her mentor, Grassflight. She wanted to get out of camp. Go hunting, fight training, even gathering herbs. She felt cooped up in camp and had already completed all of the chores her mentor had given her extremely fast, even for her, and her best friends, Briarpaw and Fadingpaw were nowhere to be seen.

OOC: @Daisyleap want to train my kitty?

Magpiefur finished his coughing with a dissatisfied grunt and flicked his tail toward the medicine cat. "Thank you, Hollyshade." He meowed, dipping his head gratefully.

Bramblefern finished gulping down his vole and got up to his paws, searching the camp for any patrols being organized.

Shrewpuddle sat down and began to groom her pelt, making it look as shiny and sleek as possible.

Grassflight padded over to Featherpaw, tail swishing. "Are you ready for some combat training?" she mewed excitedly, sinking her claws into the ground.

Featherpaw nodded eagerly. She wished her friends where there but at least she wouldn't have to be bored anymore! "Yeah! I am so ready!!!"

"Alright, let's head to the training grounds," Grassflight meowed, flicking her tail and leading Featherpaw out of camp. Hopefully her battle skills won't have to be put to use soon. she added quietly under her breath.

Featherpaw followed behind her mentor happily. She considered her mentor to also be a friend so whenever she was learning, it was a good time to her. She glanced over at the fresh kill pile on her way out. Maybe I can even catch some prey and impress Grassflight even more!! Plus it would help the clan out too.

ooc: are there no patrols...?

Ooc: Uh, I could have one of my cats lead a hunting patrol? Idk.

Silverpaw padded out of the apprentice den, parting her jaws in a yawn and stretching. Fluffing up her fur, she looked around for Tawnysky.

Oakpaw watched his sister with a protective expression, amber eyes narrowed into slits as his tail lashed. With a yawn, he got to his paws and looked around for Stormpoppy. She'd promised he could train with Silverpaw today.

Shadowblaze stepped out into the crowd. "Uh, does anyone want to uh, come hunting with me?" she called nervously.

Riverswoop walked away from Scorpionclaw towards Shadowblaze. "Sounds like fun. Should I round up some others for you?" he mewed happily.

Adderpool looked up and yawned, getting to his paws. "I'll come," he meowed, walking over.

Willowfeather yawned as she woke up, looking down at her kits and purring, her tail laying over their squirming bodies.

"If you want." Shadowblaze mewed, surprised anyone had responded, "I want to go to the Birdsong Trees."

OOC: Oh, Littleflower is taking out a border patrol with a few cats that were dissing Scorpionclaw.

OOC: I have a cat to kill. Is it okay if I do it now?

Shiningsplash started coughing. She felt sick and lightheaded. She limped over to the medicine's den and stuck her head in. "Hello?" She rasped.

Heatherglow went to the prey pile and grabbed a vole. She brought it back to her nest. "Anybody want some of this vole?" She asked her kits.

"Yes?" Coldfoot sighed, looking up at Shiningsplash.

Shiningsplash coughed. "I feel a bit sick. But if you are busy I guess I can just grit my teeth and sleep it off." She said.

Brindlekit immediately ran over to her mother, escaping her siblings. "Yes please!" she purred loudly. 

Riverswoop nodded happily, looking around for some free warriors. "Should we take some apprentices too?"

"I'm not busy." Coldfoot sighed, padding to her. "I can give you a checkup."

Hawksky looked down at the empty freshkill pile and frowned.

OOC: What's Shiningsplash sick with?

"Alright." Shainimheplash said, laying down awkwardly. She coughed a bit. "Is it okay if I take a nap? I feel really tired." She asked with a cough.

"Sure?" Coldfoot mewed, tilting his head, "Er, I mean, can you sleep in your den?"

"I mean while you check on me. My legs feel so tired I don't even know if I can make it to my den." She said.

"Okay." Coldfoot sighed, "There's a nest in the corner. Stay away from Blueshine, she's been waking up and yelling at the closest living being." He motioned to the grey she-cat sleeping in a nest near the center of the den.

"Alright." Shiningsplash mumbled and collapses into the den. She almost instantly fell asleep, her bad leg oddly positioned.

Coldfoot pressed the side of his head against Shiningsplash's chest, feeling her heartbeat. Oddly slow.. but steady. He continued checking over the patient.

Tulippaw took a small but juicy-looking mouse from the fresh-kill pile and padded into the medicine den, setting it beside Blueshine and stepping away quickly in case the elder woke up. "Coldfoot?" she asked, frowning as she wondered why Shiningsplash was in the den asleep.

Blueshine opened one eye, looking at the mouse. She silently sat up in her nest and pulled the mouse closer to her, gently chewing the food.

Tulippaw coughed lightly to get her mentor's attention. "Coldfoot?" she repeated slowly.

Coldfoot looked up from his inspection of Shiningsplash, ignoring the way her sickly scent made dread drip through his veins. "What." he growled.
