The main path of the river that runs through the five territories; it is deep and swift, and stories of many cats being lost to the swift current mostly deters intruders.

IC: Hazepaw paced along the river edge, careful not to full and die, since they can't swim, or the simple fact of he doesn't or can't swim, picking up mosses he finds. Until he finds himself carrying too much, he places some back down

Boulderheart led his patrol along the border, rubbing against stray trees and rocks.
Oceanbreeze padded after him, eyeing the river nervously.
Aukletstorm followed Oceanbreeze's gaze to the water and spotted the shadow of a fish. She felt her stomach growl.

mudpaw bounded along, jumping on boulders, and onto trees, then jumping down and running into some leaves.

barkpaw laughed as he watched his brother. " where cats not squirrels! we don't climb trees!" He meowed as he raced into the leaves too.

mudpaw laughed and whispered to barkpaw. " lets tackle ivystripe, it'll be fun, she will never see it coming!"

" yea, lets go, you know I'm to shy to talk to her, you distract her, ill attack from behind." barkpaw whispered back, and pretended to be interested in a tree, falling behind ivystripe and the others.

mudpaw fell in beside ivystripe. " so.. do you smell any waterclan scents?" he meowed trying to make small talk to distract her.

Beechpaw heard the terrible rushing of the current. He remembered his father telling him stories about cats drowning in there and shuddered, watching Barkpaw, who was hiding behind a tree.

OOC: Kay, I'll have the apprentices tackle Ivystripe and she falls into the river, but is rescued. Once in camp, she catches the first greencough and later died from that.

Ivystripe shook her head, "No.." She grumbled, giving a harsh glance at Mudpaw. The senior warrior hated being talked to by apprentices and tried to inch away from him.

Beechpaw stuck his nose out, scenting a pheasant. He quickly tracked it down, but saw the scent was stale when he got closer.
"Ugh, I'm so bad at hunting," he muttered angrily.

Aukletstorm flicked her tail and took a seat besides the river. She spotted a shadow near the surafce and flicked her paw, scooping out a fish.

Beechpaw skipped over to Aukletstorm. Shyly cocking his head, he watched the quick shadows on the stream and splashed the water, scooping up a salmon. It flapped in his paw, and eventually he accidentally dropped it back into the water.
"Mouse-dung!" he cursed.

Aukletstorm stood poised over the water at an angle where her shadow didn't cross over, watching the shadows of fish dart far below the surface. One of them, much close, was approaching. She readied herself and flicked her paw, unsheathing her claws and snagging the fish. She brought it up quickly and grabbed it between her teeth.

Ah, I see the problem. My claws were sheathed, and I didn't grip it tight enough so it managed to escape. Beechpaw reminded himself of his first fish and nodded at Aukletstorm.
He mimicked her position above the water, and once he saw a carp swerving close to the bank, he scooped his paw in and punctured his sharp claws into the scales, bringing it up and biting down on it immediately.

mudpaw gave a slight nod to barkpaw then looked at ivystripe. " oh.. ok." he meowed.

barkpaw let out a playful yowled and jumped at ivystripe, he landed on her back.

mudpaw started to laugh and batted at icystripes ears softly as barkpaw jumped on her back.

Beechpaw glanced at Barkpaw and Mudpaw attacking Ivystripe. He giggled under his breath as he took a bite from the carp. He spat it out, gagging.
"This tastes horrible!" he blurted.

"You're not supposed to eat while hunting," Boulderheart reminded the apprentice gruffly.
"You'll get used to it after a while, it's a lot easier to fish in big rivers in leaf-bare than hunt rabbits." Aukletstorm purred.

Ivystripe let out a surprised yowl. "You. Little-" She started, but her hindlegs had slipped on some slippery mud. She screeched as she fell into the water, hitting a rock and being knocked out, unable to swim back up.

Beechpaw cowered down when Boulderheart scolded him, but saw Ivystripe fall in and gasped quietly. He darted over, wading into the shallow part of the water and grabbing her scruff, trying to drag her out. Look what those mouse-brained apprentices did! What if they killed her? he struggled to pull her out, slipping and sliding himself at the shore.

barkpaw, being on ivystripes back, fell in also. He spat out the water and churned his legs. He recovered quickly and grabbed ivystripes fur, helping beechpaw pull her to shore.

mudpaw stared in shock and horror. what my mousebrain attack drowned them?! I'm a horrible cat.. he thought panicking.

Boulderheart gave a help of panic and leaped to grab Ivystripe. His immense strength helped him manage to drag her to the surface.
Aukletstorm stood, watching in shock.

Beechpaw slipped as Boulderheart's muscles rippled in front of him, pulling Ivystripe back to shore. He gazed in awe at the deputy, seeing how strong he was. He disappeared under the water and resurfaced again, clambering back up next to Ivystripe. I hope she's okay!

Ivystripe, still being knocked out let out a unconscious cough, spitting out water from the river. She groaned, her eyes struggling to open up, but closed again.

Ivystripe blinked open her eyes and groaned. She slowly heaved herself up, slipping a bit on the mud and coughing out water. "Mouse-dung!" She spat, eyeing the troublesome apprentices. Her head was giving a sharp pain from falling on the jutting out rock.

He turned to the rest of the patrol. "I'm going to take her home to get help from the medicine cats, the rest of you, complete the patrol." he instructed.

"It's a patrol! Why were you playing?!" Beechpaw yelled even louder, baring his teeth.
He paced towards the jagged rock Ivystripe had hit her head on and waded into the shallow water, leaning against the smooth part where it jutted out of the stream and muttering inaudible things about Mudpaw and Barkpaw under his breath.

" this is all your fault mudpaw! it was your idea to play attack her!" barkpaw snarled at his brother. " I'm never listening to you again! she could have died! and its all your fault!" He snarled at his brother then burst out crying, and ran away threw the territory.

Beechpaw huffed, scooping his paw into the water and lazily attempting to grab a minnow. I'm not Mr. Perfect. I rarely talk, and I have so many flaws! They're the stupid ones! he thought angrily, surprisingly grabbing a fish and bringing it out, latching his teeth around it and killing it.

Seashell waded into the water, going far enough that she could now see Aukletstorm and Beechpaw fishing.
