The Gathering Island

Tulipsnow glanced over at Aspenpaw, winking and purring at the new apprentice. All the Clans seem so...small, her thoughts immediately drifted, making a mental list of the things she had to do tomorrow. I hope Hawksky isn't too busy.[/color]

Rabbitpaw's chest puffed in pride. It wasn't every day that your name was mentioned by the Clan leader at the Gathering.

Plumdrop  opened her mouth but shut it just as Snowystar mentioned the apprentices' names, hoping that the turning of cats' heads towards them would suffice as a 'be quiet'.

Finchstar shifted a little on his spot. As the newest leader he would speak last; that definitely didn't help his nerves.

Sharktooth leaned over a little, murmuring to Brindlestorm. "If Finchstar moves any more he's going to fall out of the tree," he spoke barely above a whisper, though Lupinfrost still overheard and had to bite his tongue to stop his purr of amusement escaping.

Hawkpaw smirked and shook his head, ears twitching while he swelled somewhat with pride when Snowystar announced his name. His amber eyes closed and he relished the boost in his ego.

Scorchthicket twitched his ears and almost laughed as he just barely caught Sharktooth's muttered words. He glanced up at the FireClan leader himself, and had to struggle to not voice his agreement with the WaterClan deputy. His eyes rolled and he shook his head, then looked expectantly at Robinstar.

Willowpaw purred as her seemingly newfound friend was mentioned by his leader, sending him a look of partial congratulations. She twitched her tail anxiously, hoping her leader would remember all of the names of the new apprentices. Her ears flattened, and she looked down at her white paws, lifting one to groom the dirt from it.

Well, if I'm up next. Robinstar dipped her head towards Snowystar before looking over the crowd, lifting up her tail as her eyes scanned the crowd. "You won't mind if I go next?" she asked, more rhetorically, then continued talking anyway. "We have a new deputy, Tigerstorm. We have multiple new apprentices, Coalpaw, Willowpaw, Fallowpaw, Bramblepaw, Leafpaw, Sootpaw, Daisypaw and Bramblepaw. Three kits have been born: Shimmerkit and Wisteriakit to Kindleflame and Tranquilkit to Venompath. Tulipsnow has also gained her full name as a medicine cat," she finished, nodding her head and lowering her tail as she looked over to the other leaders.

Ooc: @Quake, you mentioned Bramblepaw twice. I’ll edit this more in a bit. 

Brindlestorm shot Sharktooth a glare, but kept her mouth shut from laughing. Her eyes were filled with amusement as she straightened herself and listened to the leaders more.

Tulipsnow looked up in surprise, purring happily when her name was spoken.

Sootpaw looked down in comparison, feeling his neck prickling with stares.

Sharktooth’s tail swept across the ground as he realised he’d made the fellow deputy laugh.

Willowpaw puffed out her chest in pride as Robinstar called her name. She looked to Flamepaw and smiled, wriggling with her excitement. Her paws shuffled against the ground.

Poolstar dipped her head to Robinstar, then glanced toward Finchstar, looking expectantly at the young leader. It was his turn to speak after all. 

Finchstar dipped his head a little, shifting and standing so he was seen a little more. "I...well, as you can see, I'm not Redstar. We have lost a few valuable warriors this season due to a sickness, but-" he was cut off by a loud rumbling that stood his fur on end, digging his claws into the bark of the tree just before a sharp jolt threatened to throw him off.

Barely a moment passed before Lupinfrost looked around for his kits, followed quickly by Sharktooth as the pair of them moved to defend the young apprentices against this strange, powerful force.
Lichenpaw's eyes widened, and she crouched to try and keep her balance.

Sootpaw squeaked in fear, crouching and trying not to be pushed over as he leaned into his father's fur.

Brindlestorm’s fur stood on end and she looked up at Turtlestar to make sure she was alright before looking out to her clanmates. “Try to stay calm everyone!” She yowled loudly, shock and fear coursing through her body as she glanced back to her leader. 

Sunpaw froze sudden fear as she clung to her sister, Tansypaw’s side. Her fur stuck out and she dug her claws into the ground, burying her head in her sister’s fur. 

Icepaw looked around with fright as she searched for someone familiar to her, needing a comforting body next to her. (Can be anyone in Frost)

Dappleshine darted to Icepaw and Blizzardpaw, ushering her apprentice and Lupinfrost's closer to her body. 
Poolstar sank her claws into the bark of the Soultree so she wouldn't be thrown off, her fur prickling. 

Willowpaw yelped and shrank closer to Flamepaw, her eyes widening while her claws dug into the ground. The tortoiseshell struggled to stay in place, crouching. 
Scorchthicket darted after Sharktooth and Lupinfrost, his chest tightening with panic.

Hawkpaw pressed to his brother's other side, trying to help balance himself, Flamepaw, and Willowpaw.
Cloudedpool shrank down, curling into a tight ball with her claws in the earth.

Darkpetal's ears swiveled and she darted into the thick of the crowd for better balance while Ivyfire immediately went to her apprentice.

Fogpaw curled into Sharktooth, his fur on end. "Sharktooth, what is this?" He whimpered, hiding in the deputy's fur. 
Autumnsky's pale eyes searched the gathered cats, and she glanced toward the other medicine cats with a clear panic on her features. Then she was jolting herself, claws sinking into the root she sat upon.

"Reefpaw!" Gatorpaw screamed, his eyes looking for his brother, tail around his back legs in fear, before racing towards him, making sure they were together.

Lilyshadow paused, her eyes widening as she turned towards the leaders, claws digging into the ground. "GET OFF THE TREE!" She screamed to them, extremely worried about it falling.

Willowstreak froze, looking up towards her mother, eyes wide, staring at her.

Dovelight shook almost as fast as the ground, her eyes darting around and breath becoming faster in fear, forcing herself to move closer to her apprentice. "Stay beside me, Aspenpaw."

"BLACKPAW! FLINTPAW!" Littlelily's mother instincts kicked in, forcing her to look for her two kits she knew are here, trying and are unable to move.

Blackpaw heard his mother, however he was stuck beside his brother, fear lacing his body.

Whispermist sprung into action, the only thought on his mind was to protect his son apprentice, grabbing him by the scruff and pulling him under himself, not sure how to protect his apprentice, only able to crouch over him to protect him from falling branches.

Tigerstorm nudged the other deputies, hearing Lilyshadow's call. "Get away from the tree! We don't know if it will fall."

Tawnyspots felt fear strike her, knowing that Snowystar was sick, she looked at the leader, before noticing it wouldn't be easy for her to get down. She looked at Stagshade in fear, wondering what to do.

Vanillapaw looked around in paralyzing anxiety, looking for her mentor before realizing she needed to duck down.

Dragonpaw looked at her father friend in fear, wondering if he'd be okay. She was tempted to run up to him, however, she realized that wouldn't be the smartest idea.

Jadepaw dashed towards Coalpaw, before wrapping the tom with her tail.

Agatepaw dashed towards his brother, before hiding into his pelt

Snakeheart looked at Duckpuddle and Flamepaw, before actually wrapping his tail around both of the cats

Autumnsky bristled and darted towards her mother, pressing close to her side with a reassuring purr. The jolting ground made it difficult for the medicine cat to keep her balance, but she offered her body for her mother to lean against for balance.

Poolstar, determined to aid her deputies, climbed down from the tree with difficulty, darting to Lupinfrost first. She stumbled somewhat, fur bristling while she attempted to keep her balance and help at the same time.
Dappleshine stayed close to Icepaw, keeping the apprentice close to her body while staring fearfully up at the Soultree. The sight of Poolstar jumping down brought the warrior some relief.

Willowpaw, though still cowering against Flamepaw, stared at her sister with wide eyes. "Fallowpaw!" She yelped, carefully moving to grab at her scruff and pull her closer.
Scorchthicket pressed his side to Fallowpaw, trying to offer the apprentice some sense of security while her sister pulled her close.

Turtlestar nodded, mapping a route down then lifting her claws carefully. She carefully clambered down the tree, ensuring her claws were properly hooked in place before moving further.

Fallowpaw trembled, shakily accepting Scorchthicket's help in steadying her.


Stagshade swayed as he crawled away from the Soultree, flinching as twigs showered onto his pelt and nicked the fur along his back.

Blackpaw looked towards Nettlepaw, surprise covering his face, before his eyes turned towards his mother, who had managed to get to them.

Littlelily looked at Nettlepaw, smiling at him thankfully, before standing beside all three apprentices, since she didn’t know what’s happening. “Is the FireClan volcano erupting? Oh no, what about Snowfall? He’s at camp!”

Tigerstorm stared at the commotion around him, before his eyes met Dragonpaw’s, sudden fear running through his veins with adrenaline. He moved as quickly as he could to her, trying to stay on his paws. He managed to get as close as possible to her, touching his nose to her pelt. “Are you alright, Dragonpaw?”

Whispermist pulled Jadepaw close to him, trying to protect both apprentices.

Lilyshadow noticed Dappledsun, standing on the other side of her to help wherever needed.

Finchstar remained in the tree for a few moments, his eyes wide. "I... this Gathering is over," he called out as the cats began to return to their senses, leaping down and looking for his Clanmates. 
Thorntail immediately moved to Nettlepaw, wrapping his tail around the apprentice protectively.

Sharktooth nodded. "Good call," he licked Fogpaw's ear. "Let's get you lot home." 
Reefpaw pressed closer to Gatorpaw, not entirely sure what to do.

Lupinfrost stayed beside Lichenpaw and Erminepaw, ushering them back towards Poolstar.

Plumdrop padded over to the apprentices, her tail still fluffed wildly. "Are you okay?"
Rabbitpaw stared at her, eyes wild. "What was that?"
"I... I don't know." 

Tulipsnow pressed close to Coldfoot, then glanced up at him. "We need to get back to camp."
Sootpaw stayed with his father.

Gatorpaw stared at his leader, looking at his brother. "Come on."

Willowstreak bolted to her mother, standing beside her. "Are you ok?"

Lilyshadow looked towards Dappledsun. "Be careful."

Turtlestar nodded. "Make sure everyone's together!" she called.
Dappledsun padded alongside her daughter towards their leader.
