Graykit purred as he raced out of the medicine den to the freshkil pile, barging Stardust out of the way as he did. The shecat purred.

"I was wondering if there are any apprentices in camp that can help me gather herbs, i really need to but i need help," Redrose said.

Snowstar looked at Redrose and said "Flowerpaw might be able to help you."

Flowerpaw was in the apprentices' den grooming her fur.

"Ok thank you," Redrose said as she backed out of the den. she went to the apprentices den and looked in "Would you like to help me gather herbs?" she asked FLowerpaw.

"Okay." Flowerpaw replied and began to walk out of the apprentices den. "So where is the best place to collect them?" She asked the medicine cat

"Well, were looking for borage, and it grows almost everywhere," Redrose said, "We'll go to the border, i guess,"

Flowerpaw arrived back at camp just behind Redrose. Her mouth was full with herbs.

they walked into the medicine den and Redrose set the comfrey down "You can put it there," She said, pionting with her tail to a small rock.

Flowerpaw placed it where Redrose pointed. Flowerpaw noticed Icepelt was coughing. She went up to her and asked "Are you okay?" When she did she couldn't help noticing that there was a lot of extra heat coming off the she-cats body than there should be.

Redrose went up and pressed her nose to Icepelt. "Dont stand to close to her Flowerspaw. i think she has whitecough," redrose grabbed some of the cat mint as she spoke, and a poppy seed. "Here have thses," Redrose said, giving them to Icepelt.

Icepelt ate the herbs.

Icepelt began to doze off.

Flowerpaw grabbed something from the freshkill pile. One thing for Redrose and one thing for Icepelt. Icepelt needed to eat too she thought. She went back to the medicine den with the prey and said "Redrose I brought you and Icepelt food."

"Thank you," Redrose said. "Do you feel up to eating, ICepelt?" Redrose took a peice of prey for herself and nibbled on it.

Flowerpaw heard and said "I know I'm not your medicine cat but you should at least try to eat a little bit just to keep your strength up."

Flowerpaw nodded.

Snowstar decided that she would go see how Icepelt was doing. She walked out of her den and walked over to the medicine den then said "How is Icepelt?"

Icepelt was finally sleeping. Her tail was twitching and her body was shaking slightly from the fever.

Hollyheart padded into the medicine den, her jaws clamped around a few precious leaves of tansy and feverfew. "This was all I could find." she sighed, looking at the meager bundle she'd just placed on the den floor.

WIndfur let a loud cough as he gnawed half heartedly at a shrew.
