Salmonpelt gasped. He ran up to Turtlesplash and looked down at her. "Are you okay, Turtlesplash?" He asked worriedly.

"Turtlesplash!" Heatherwing gasped in shock, forgetting all about the squirrel and rushed to the deputy's side. "Are you okay?" She was relieved to see that she was breathing and didn't have any serious injuries.

"Yeah, I'm alright." she mewed, struggling to her feet. "Luckily it crashed into the water and not into a stone or something. We might be able to catch it later, it'll be swimming a lot slower now."

Heatherwing looked toward the bird's direction. It would be an easy take down if they worked together. Some part of her tingled with anticipation at the thought of taking down large prey again. "After you rest a little..."

"Think I'm fine. I'm not tired, I was just under water for a bit." she mewed, watching one of the goslings trail behind the group.

As if reading Heatherwing's mind, Salmonpelt suggested they should all try to work together to catch the group of geese. He keenly listened at the goslings squaking furiously back at them, huddling close to their mother in the distance of the lake.

"Remember, avoid the wings," she mewed, "a hard enough blow you break your spine." she got up, her legs shaking a little in anticipation of the hunt.

Salmonpelt nodded. He began stalking up to the waters edge, watching the geese swim closer to shore slowly and carefully. Once they paddled back on shore, not knowing what was coming to them, Salmonpelt leaped. He landed with his front AND back paws facing each direction on the large geese. The mother goose yowled and shook her feathers from the water. Salmonpelt sunk his teeth into the mother goose's neck. The mother goose was strong. It shook him easily off her body, him being pretty lightweight and making it easy for her. Salmonpelt landed slipping off the edge of the shore, but he scrambled back up, mumbling and growling. He limped away from the shore.

Turtlesplash flicked her tail nervously. "Make them think we've left then charge." she muttered, padding towards a group of sedge and cattail, her ears faced towards the river.

Salmonpelt obeyed his loyal deputy and casually padded away, not noticing where he was going and tumbling into a thorny bush. Salmonpelt leaped up calmly, pretending that didn't happen. He looked back at the geese, and they seemed to chuckle at the clumsy tom-cat. Salmonpelt kept walking, wincing at a thorn that got stuck in his shoulder. Razz

Heatherwing headed for a patch of long grass, a little ways away from Turtlesplash. Coming from the mother from all angles would likely confuse it, giving them some precious seconds to put an end to it.

Turtlesplash looked at it from the corner of her eye, seeing her watch them then slowly turn away, its goslings playing in the water around their mother. Turtlesplash watched it leave, staying perfectly still.

The goose started paddling away. She flicked her tail, signalling for the attack, and charged.

After doing what the rest of the cats on the patrol were doing and seeing the deputy's attack signal, Riverfall charged towards the geese as well.

OOC: It's alright
IC: Turtlesplash saw the goose turn its head right as she smacked into it. It gave a loud honk as she dragged it under-water, one paw on it's head and the rest hooked on its wings. The goslings were giving tiny squeaking honks of panic and swimming around in desperation.

Ebonypaw padded here with Dapplenose close behind. "Wow." She muttered to herself in awe as she gazed upon the stones.

Flowerpaw pounced on a beetle crawling in front of her and giggled, but realized she seemed unprofessional and puffed out her chest, standing tall by her mentor. She wanted to shout a hello to the apprentice nearby, but realized it was Ebonypaw and scoffed quietly.

"Aw, the stone are all cold." Turtlesplash mewed in disapointment, still not fully grasping how the sunstones worked. "Well, there's still a bunch of prey running around."

Flowerpaw was slightly disappointed. Even though her brother would take her out before close to camp, she's never even seen the sunstones and wanted badly to lay on one and just bask in the sun all day. She shrugged and parted her jaws to find a scent of anything close by.

Turtlesplash sniffed and could detect a vole nearby. She saw the small, brown rodent scramble out from a space between two rocks.
