Snake woke up in the warriors den where he was resting. He was in pain from the gashes on his shoulders and sides. He stood up and saw that his mossy bed was soaked in blood.

"Snake, he... I- It looked like he and Leafsong were attacked while they were out earlier. There was nothing we c- could do." Mistbreeze explained.
