DuskClan Skytrees

DuskClan's Skytrees are located near to their border with WaterClan, and near to the Gathering Island. Part of the old LeafClan territory the Skytrees are only half the amount they used to be, with the cleared half now a Greenleaf Twolegplace. The Skytrees are always full of birds however as most of them are tall, hardwood trees such as tall oaks, beech, ash, and willows, their branches are higher up and it takes skilled climbers to get to them.

lilypaw ran out after them kicking up leaves and pouncing on the leaves.

Fluffpaw purred. "I remember being a kit." she sighed. Suddenly she remembered the dog attacking camp and ripping her eye, and shuddered. "For good and bad reasons."

Hawkpaw purred and looked around for some prey to hunt. He spotted a few voles scrambling back into their holes and several birds taking off overhead. Finally, his eyes rested on a squirrel.
"Pssst, Fluffpaw, look!" he whispered, motioning towards the fat squirrel.

Fluffpaw nodded, crouching down. She stalked the squirrel slowly, and leaped, nipping it swiftly on the back and killing it. "Yes!" she grinned.

Mintapple held his tail high.
"Great catch, Fluffpaw!" he praised the one-eyed apprentice.
He caught sight of a quail and prowled after it, but as it feebly tried to helicopter away when it saw Mintapple, he lashed out a claw and brought it down. He trotted back to the group of apprentices, clearly satisfied.

Tunnelpaw raced through the trees, a scarlet figure on his heels.
You can outrun the fox. You can do it, Tunnelpaw. You can- his thoughts were stopped erect as the fox took it's chance and leaped at his throat. He let out a screech and battered at it's face frantically.

OOC: Yeah that's because you weren't on and we had no idea when you'd be back. There are exactly 12 posts on this thread, it's not that much to scan through and get the basics of what happened, and is considerably easier than say, 3 pages. It's literally just some cats caught prey and heard a noise. That's it, that's all you missed, Aqua.

IC: Hawkpaw sniffed the air and tensed. "It smells like fox!" he yelped nervously, shivering.

Mintapple stubbornly flicked his tail, holding Lightpaw back.
"Be quiet, mouse-brains!" he spat unexpectedly.
He leaped behind a tree, following the scent, only finding the scarlet-red figure racing right to him and the apprentices. Tunnelpaw followed close behind, limping as he left a trail of blood trickling from his lips. Mintapple snarled and leapt at the fox, tearing into it's ear. He slammed his abnormally small paws against it's head and sending it toppling by a tree, confused. Tunnelpaw found Fluffpaw and let out a ragged purr, curling up beside her, watching his blood spill onto her paws in agony.

Tunnelpaw nodded, and his head went aback as he sneezed. He got up and shook away his bad thoughts, ready to fight.

Mintapple yowled in fear as the confused fox lumbered straight towards Tunnelpaw again.
"Get down!" he shrieked.

"Tunnelpaw!!" Fluffpaw screeched. She glared at Mintapple. "Do something!!" she wailed, remembering some herbs from when she was in the medicine den as a kit and looking around frantically. "Get cobwebs!" she cried, looking around desperately. Then she caught eyes with the Fox and leaped onto it's back yowling furiously. "Die!" she screeched.

"Don't you see I am?" he hissed stubbornly at Fluffpaw.
He headbutted into the foxes rear end, sending it toppling to the front, but before it could attack Fluffpaw again, he slammed into it's side and clawed at it's scarlet fur, wondering if it was still at its natural balance or if it was entirely stained with their blood.

Tunnelpaw closed his eyes, swaying from the shock, and listened to the puzzling breeze around him.

lilypaw ran up to tunnelpaw. " are you ok?" she meowed franticly.

Mintapple raised on his hind legs, letting out a threatening battle cry. He sheathed his claws and slammed one against the foxes head. It left apparently no mark as it pinned the grey tom down. He whispered a prayer to SoulClan and feebly clawed at it's face, as the smart creature knew well enough to hold down his muscles to stop him from leaping up again.

lightpaw jumped off the fox. " lilypaw! come help me!" she yowled.

lilypaw ran to lightpaw they shared a glance before running at the fox from the left flank. she clawed its side snarling.
lightpaw took the right side clawing its flank to distract it long enough for mintapple to get up.

lightpaw gave up on clawing its side and backed up. she ran at the fox slamming into the fox's side.

lilypaw growled as lightpaw stopped clawing her side. mouse brain she thought before jumping in front of the fox, and started clawing its muzzle.

lightpaw backed up a little dazed from hitting the fox's side and was annoyed when she saw it did no good. she caught sight of smokepaw " help us fight the fox can you?" she hissed trying not to be mean but failing.

lilypaw heard lightpaws hiss. ill talk to her about it later, right now I must fight, she thought as she darted around to the back side of the fox hissing before clawing its hide quarters.

Mintapple raised his hind legs and kicked the brute's face, but it pushed him over and pinned him down. Dazed, he scrambled to Smokepaw.
"Hey, if you're not going to do anything, why don't you go get some help?" he gritted his teeth in pain, a thin spray of blood forming a pool on his shoulder.

lightpaw nodded and ran at the fox to they slammed into the fox at the same time, making it stagger a little.

Mintapple wiggled his hindquarters, trying to gain back his energy. Suddenly, he saw a larger red brute lumbering out of a den. It was the father! Mintapple squinted and saw the squealing, tumbling cubs deep inside the den.
"There's more!" he yowled, nearly passing out.

Tunnelpaw rocked back and forth and back and forth, letting out tiny whimpers. Fluffpaw looked down and comforted him with a reassuring tap of the tail. Tunnelpaw gathered up all his courage as his wound finally closed a bit and the blood on his mouth dried out. He leaped into the roar of battle, plunging into the reeds and slamming into the fox's hindquarters.

lightpaw shook her head. " there.. there's more! no!" she whimpered no, no crying lets go kick some fox out of our territory lightpaw snarled and jumped at the she-fox hissing. she landed on its back then tried to both hang on as the fox jumped around and tried to claw its back.

Hawkpaw yelped and stepped back, looking around wildly. TWO big foxes? This is gonna be tough... Hawkpaw mustered up all his courage and knocked into the fox attacking Lightpaw.

Mintapple sent the mother fox surrendering by her nest of cubs after a fearless blow to the nose. But that just enraged the father fox. It leaped straight at Tunnelpaw.
"Tunnelpaw, watch out!" the breath was knocked out of him as the father fox changed courses and slammed into Mintapple's side.

lightpaw hissed and charged at the fox facing hawkpaw. She slammed into its side hard making it stumble and turn its attencine to her. It snarled wanting to get her back for slamming it. lightpaw gulped oh no.
