OOC: Because there are not enough border violations.
IC: Pinefrost padded over the border, not noticing the change of scent. He knew LeafClan needed prey, and he had to find it, even if it wasn't in his own territory. Autumn trailed reluctantly behind.

Blossomfall glanced around and let the breeze tickle her scent glands before stepping out into the open space beside the river. "Are you guys okay?"
Kitekit stumbled to a halt at Blossomfall's paws. "Yep! This is f-..." she cut herself off as she saw the water in front of her. "Whoa! What's this?"
"It's the river, Kitekit. You'll get more than a little chilled if you fall in," Vanillapetal replied, padding up behind Blossomfall and setting Galekit down from her shoulders. "And we have to cross it."
Blossomfall nodded. "There are stepping stones, but I think that you kits might be a little too small to jump between them, so your mother and I will ferry you from one side to the other, okay?"

Heronkit nodded then sneezed. "Why does the other side of the river smell weird?" she asked covering up her nose.

"That's FrostClan territory," Blossomfall explained, picking up Heronkit and helping him on to her shoulders. "You need to walk along the border a little to get to FireClan."
Grasskit tipped his head. "You're not coming?"
"Sorry, little one, but I have to stay here," Blossomfall mewed. Vanillapetal stayed silent, thinking about the daunting journey that lay before her.

Blossomfall glanced at Vanillapetal, whom nodded slightly. "Your father was a FireClan cat," Blossomfall mewed slowly.
Kitekit's jaw dropped. "What?!"

Vanillapetal placed Kitekit beside Heronkit, and Blossomfall returned for Ravenkit. "You'll have to ask them yourself," she replied, aware that they were only kits and didn't quite understand the concept of love yet.
Kitekit huffed and snuggled closer to Heronkit, while Grasskit just sat there thinking.

Ravenkit was just totally baffled. She nervously touched the water and shot back immediately. "Wait, does this mean she had to cross over this to see him?! Would that be worth it?" she mewed, shivering.

Blossomfall nodded. "Well I caught him in our territory enough times that he probably learnt how to swim," she replied, picking up Ravenkit and putting the little kit on her shoulders.

Ravenkit shrieked as she slipped, the current dragging her. The world was flashing blue and silver and water got in her eyes and ears and she flung her paws desperately.

Vanillapetal hurried forward and grabbed Ravenkit, licking her kit fiercely to dry her. Blossomfall walked a few steps away and shook her fur out.

Blossomfall padded over to Vanillapetal. "May SoulClan walk with you." she mewed, licking the younger warrior's ear gently. Vanillapetal sighed and nodded, murmuring "I'm sorry about Wildheart," in her friend's ear so the kits didn't hear. Kitekit nuzzled Blossomfall's leg. "Bye," she mewed, and Grasskit just dipped his head to the warrior.

Heronkit looked up at Blossomfall with wide blue eyes. "Bye Blossomfall, can i see you again?" she asked with hope.

Blossomfall nodded. "I'll always be with you, little ones." she mewed. Kitekit stepped back, her tail hanging sadly as she watched Blossomfall turn and leap from rock to rock, waving her tail at the group from the far shore and disappearing into the bushes.
