Personality:
Brackenshade is quiet and introverted, speaking only when he needs to. He is quite the pessimist, thinking of things as glass half-empty rather than glass half-full. Brackenshade rarely thinks things through, resulting in his many bumps and bruises along the road. He dislikes hearing others' ideas and only settles for his own. Despite these traits, Brackenshade is trusting and very protective over his family and Clan.

Appearance:
A dark coffee brown tabby with thick, fluffy fur. He has gleaming green eyes and a white mitten on his left hind leg. Brackenshade has a long tail, giving him an advantage for balancing.

History:

Brackenshade was born to two loyal warriors of BrightClan, named Oakshade and Lionfeather. His mother, Oakshade, died giving birth from too much blood loss, and Badgerkit, Brackenkit's only littermate, went with her to SoulClan. Lionfeather took off all his warrior duties to take care of Brackenkit, and was so proud when he became an apprentice. While training with his mentor, Brackenpaw met up with Pigeonpaw and her mentor. They challenged each other to a hunting race to see who could catch more prey than the other, and immediately fell in love. When the two became warriors, they were alone on their silent vigil and became mates. A few moons later, Pigeonwing borne five kits. The runt of the litter, Russetkit, died. But the remaining four were quite the lively bunch! Pigeonwing named Fernkit and Ashkit, and Brackenshade named Thornkit and Badgerkit, in remembrance to his deceased brother. They now live together and take care of the four kits with love and protection.
