FrostClan Camp

Speckledowl purred and looked up. "I should probably head out to hunt," he mewed. "We'll need as much prey as possible." Flicking his tail over Lightkit's ear, he purred a goodbye before padding to where he saw his sister, Mothlight.

ooc: i've forgotten who was going to go hunting with Acornwhisker...

ic: Lynxfang growled. "Ryedusk!" he called for the warrior, his claws sinking into the snow beneath his paws.

OOC: I know Heatherpaw and Lichenpaw are, but I can't think of the others. 

IC: Hollyblaze groomed her kits gently, lifting her head and looking around for Foresthowl. Her ears flicked back when she didn't spot her mate, prompting her to heave herself to her paws which she did quickly, much to Hopekit's dismay.

Ryedusk quickly ran over. "Sorry, Lynxfang, I was distracted!" she apologized, her tail flicking nervously and her eyes darting around.

Lynxfang snorted. "Not me you should be apologising to," he mewed curtly, and turned to Dapplestar. "Should we go now?"

Acornwhisker flicked an ear as she looked around, spotting Redstar and padding over, away from the two FrostClan apprentices. "Hey," she mewed gently.
Lichenpaw sighed. "Why don't we just go out on our own?" she muttered to her sister.

Heatherpaw flattened her ears. "It would be faster... I just don't want to chance running into any rogues. I work hard to make myself this fabulous and they would ruin it!" She mewed, huffing.

Darkshadow pushed into the nursery to check on his remaining kits. "Waspkit, Lynxkit, Sedgekit." He called quietly, padding and touching noses with his mate.

OOC: just gonna jump in... XD

IC: Emberheart pushed her way out of the warriors den, shaking her fur. She was soon followed by Darkfrost and Nightfur. Emberheart flicked an ear at the older tom. "You do not have to come with us Nightfur."
The older tom let out a low growl of disapproval at the pretty she-cat. "The clan needs more fresh-kill now that Fireclan has moved in," his voice reflected his contempt for the other clan, but he still respected their leader's decision. 
Darkfrost licked a paw and brushed it over his ear. "Staying here ensures the clan has enough warriors to protect the camp from the rogues."
Nightfur lashed his tail, heaving himself to his paws. "I can hunt plenty well. There is no need to treat me like an elder." With that remark, he led the two younger cats to Dapplestar and Lynxfang to see if they could join a hunting or border patrol.

Ravenfoot sat beside her daughter, Violetgaze, idly chatting with the she-cat. She flicked her tail across the ground, a purr rising in her throat. Though Violetgaze suspected her mother didn't notice, Ravenfoot easily caught the glances the younger cat sent towards Bluetail. "Go talk to her, Violetgaze," she mewed and got up, padding away without another word.

"Yes, let's." Dapplestar mewed curtly, leading the way out of camp.
Marshfeather tensed as the FrostClan leader passed the shrub he cowered in.

Bluetail cast a nervous gaze towards Violetgaze from her spot near Stormshadow, who was slowly recovering from her whole litter of kits dying. She hoped Stormshadow hadn’t noticed, but she had been noticed. Stormshadow smiled suddenly. “Oooh... got a crush on the pretty she-cat?” She said suddenly. Bluetail gulped. “M-maybe...?” She said. Stormshadow purred. “Well, go hunt with her or something.” She said, not caring how weird the relationship was. She stood up and walked over towards Redstripe.

Violetgaze bounded over to Bluetail, swallowing back a nervous laugh. "Hey," she mewed, grey and white tail flicking about behind her hind legs. She fluffed her fur, blue eyes cast downwards slightly.

“Hi.” Bluetail said nervously, trying not to meet Violetgaze’s eyes as much as she wanted to, her tail swishing.

"Do you wanna go hunt?" Violetgaze blurted out, lifting her head to meet Bluetail's eyes, offering the she-cat a smile. She stepped closer, flicking her tail against the warrior's side.

Bluetail smiled shyly. “I’d be happy to... Uh.... just us, right?” She said, hating herself for saying it a moment later.

Violetgaze purred and nodded, padding towards the exit of camp. "Come on, mousebrain," she called playfully before running out.

Cloverlily backed up, trying to stay as still as she could inside the shrub. She pressed her body against Marshfeather's, watching Dapplestar, Ryedusk, and Lynxfang exit the camp. She let out a breath when they were far enough not to see her or Marshfeather. "D-do you want to go somewhere else where we can talk more?" she suggested, lip curled in a slight smile but her stomach churning as she thought of all the possible things he could say in return.

Redstripe greeted his mate with a nuzzle, his eyes full of grief but a forced purr in his throat. "I'm sure our kits are safe, up in SoulClan." He murmured to her suddenly. " Away from the rogues dangers."

“I hope.” Stormshadow said blandly, trying to hide her emotions. Five young kits, all so young. All gone. She leaned against Redstripe without another word.

ic: Briarscorch's tail flicked as she watched the two Clans mingle in the camp as if they'd always lived like that, never apart. This still isn't right, she decided in her head. Two Clans shouldn't be together like this. Something's gonna happen soon, and we'll all regret it.

Nightfall stretched and padded out of the warrior's den, flicking her tail. The wounds on her shoulders and stomach were healing nicely, but she still had to take it easy. With a slight purr, she padded to her brothers, Crowpaw and Blackpaw. "Hey," she mewed. 

Crowpaw glanced up and huffed. "Look it's little miss warrior," he teased and grinned, wrapping his tail around his paws. 

"Oh come on Crowpaw, you're just jealous." Nightfall retorted and nudged him towards Songpaw. "Go flirt again, sorry I disturbed you," she laughed and bounded towards Briarscorch. She looked up at the older warrior. "Hey," she meowed and lashed her tail. "It's still weird to have FireClan in camp, don't you think?"

Littlelily smiled happily at her mate. "Hello Darkshadow."

lynxkit gasped up at his father. "Can you tell me about the amazing things you did today?"

Ic: Brindlefrost strolled into camp, a single mouse positioned in her jaws. She lightly placed it on the freshkill pile and sat herself down in a secluded corner of the camp, relishing the frosty breeze that buffeted her fur.

Cloudheart had noticed Brindlefrost and padded up to her, “Hello.” She was calm, like always, her mind running wild of anything but this conversation.

"The hunting isn't good," Brindlefrost remarked, straight to the point. She wasn't much of a conversationalist, that was for sure. She looked warily over at the petite she-cat, for she wasn't quite "friends" with every cat in the clan. Accepting her company, Brindlefrost shook the light snowflakes from her dappled fur before settling back down again.

“I know.” Cloudheart swiftly replied, focusing more on the conversation after her reply, “Would you like me to get you something to eat?” Her gray fur held snowflakes from her fur, and it blended in well with the snow.

“I’m going hunting!” Panthermist announced, being her usual excited self. She stood tall, tail up with glee and a bright expression on the young warrior’s face.

Nightfall perked up and purred, bounding over to nuzzle her head against Panthermist. "I'll go with," she mewed and dragged her tail down the shecat's spine.

Panthermist licked Nightfall’s ear affectionately, purring with delight. “To the forest then?” She said, glancing into the forest before them.

Nightfall nodded her agreement and led her out, her tail swaying happily in the air. She purred, licking Panthermist's cheek and bounding off.

"No, save it for the cats that need it." Brindlefrost responded, flicking her ear absently. Drifting away from conversation, she scanned the camp, looking over the two clans mingling about. She still hadn't gotten used to the change, and naturally avoided the FireClan cats as much as possible.

Finchfire, who was casually sitting in the camp, looked around for Pidgeonfeather. He wondered where the she-cat was, having missed her the night before. 

Ooc: just improvising lol. Not used to rping a male

Cloudheart stepped out of the way for Brindlefrost to look, “Okay.” Her swift reply wasn’t focused, as she noticed a FireClan apprentice, Wolfpaw. She perked her ears toward him,  even though he wasn’t saying anything. She turned back to Brindlefrost, “Need anything?”

Ivyfeather padded out of the medicine den, her expression angered. They were critically low on marigold. She noticed Brindlefrost and Cloudheart, padding up. “Are any of you up to doing something instead of slacking off?” She growled, her anger about the herbs partly directed towards the warriors now.

“No, is there anything you’d like us to do?” Cloudheart quickly replied, her natural monotone voice coming through strong, “I’m sorry, I can collect herbs if you’re low.”

“Yes, I was wondering if you two would be my warrior escort, and also help me find herbs.” Ivyfeather said, her voice strong with authority.

Cloudheart’s voice didn’t become scared or lessen with higher authority, “Okay, lead the way. Just tell me what herbs you need and what they look like.”

Ivyfeather gave a polite nod to Cloudheart, then turned her strong gaze at Brindlefrost. “Well?” She said impatiently.

Nightfall padded slowly into camp with her head down, gently setting Panthermist's body in the clearing and lying by it, her nose pressed into the shecat's cold fur. She let out a choked sob and curled around the cold body of what could've been hers. "SoulClan protect her," she mewed weakly, ignoring the bleeding cut above her eye as well as the minor scratches on her sides.

Cloudheart chimed in next to Ivyfeather, “Brindlefrost Just got back from hunting, so if you want I can just escort you, but it’s your choice.” She looked down, not in shyness, she just didn’t know where else to look. She turned to look at Nightfall, and padded over. She dipped her head, “May you find good hunting, swift running, and shelter when you sleep.” After paying her respects she padded back over to Ivyfeather.
