EchoClan gorge

"I don't get training for hunting though!" Dovepaw protested.

"Welp, too bad!" Cynderpaw smirked in a playful way.
"Have I really found a solution to beating the medicine cat apprentice? It seems so." she purred, giggling.
When she saw the look on Dovepaw's face she sighed.
"Fine. Just try your best and we'll have a herb-collecting contest later." she huffed, still with a smirk.

Dovepaw rolled her eyes. "I can catch birds. And I caught a mouse once." she mewed.

Forestfall yawned and stretched as she examined her surroundings. Watching the ledge carefully, she avoided being only tail-lengths away, but then heard a growl rise behind her. Something reeky was breathing on her neck. She flipped around and saw the humgous dog towering over her small but plump body. She backed away slowly and steadily with heavy, heavy breaths, eventually slipping and falling down face-first. Her scream was caught in her throat as she plummeted into the darkness, the dogs gleaming eyes still a tiny dot above with the small stripe of light.
"Welcome to SoulClan." a voice whispered into her ear.
Forestfall widened her eyes.
"Is that really you, mother?" she gasped.
Suddenly, her whole deceased family appeared behind Treeclaw.
"Oh, Snowstorm, Flareclaw, Songsplash, Otterflame!" she ran up to hug her littermates.
Looking up, she gaped at the sight of her kits.
"Oh, my babies!" She abandoned her siblings and went to share tongues with her oldest kittens.
"We've got much to catch up on, Forestfall." Treeclaw mewed.
"And I just can't wait." Forestfall meowed, purring at the sight of seeing her whole entire family again.

OOC: I'm poofing Dovepaw back to camp - she isn't doing much...

IC: Dovepaw watched as Forestfall fell over the edge, and stared at the dog, who now turned over to her. Glancing down at the bottom of the gorge, she caught the dogs jaws behind her, and ran, pulling Cynderpaw with her. "Come on!" she screeched.

Forestfall's scent was still in the air. The dog sniffed firmly, then lumbered back, away from EchoClan territory.

Dovepaw breathed a sigh of relief, then stared over the edge of the gorge. "Forestfall..." she murmured. Then she shook herself. 



OOC: POOF

Two siblings bounded into the area.
"I smell its stench..."  hissed Littlepelt. Quick-leap sniffed the air and swished his tail in agreement.

OOC: ... it left... x3

IC: Speckledpaw raced after Quickleap and Littlepelt. "Guys, you should have stayed until she finished!" he protested. "Dovepaw said it left, see the direction it's heading in!"

Littlepelt nodded and smelled the air, following her nose as Quick-leap followed behind.

Speckledpaw breathed a sigh of relief, and padded back to camp.

Lynxcloud dashed into the clearing. She raised her nose up high and smelt the faint scent of the dog that had nearly pushed Forestfall into the gorge. The silver she-cat ran up to the very edge of the gorge and looked down into the plunging darkness. She wondered what was down there. She pondered on where Forestfall was now. Her eyes were like fire blazing in a storm when she took off straight forward for camp again.

Foxpaw padded here with swift and light steps as she bounded over, she peered down into he gorge. A shudder went through her spine as she leaned forward. Foxpaw suddenly snapped out of it and quickly scrambled back, glancing behind her for Lynxcloud to catch up.

OOC: Bring in ze Speckledpaw? or not yet?

"Huh, imagine falling into that river down the gorge!" She meowed to her mentor, shivering.

Speckledpaw limped into the gorge and saw his mentor and Foxpaw. He nearly fell into the gorge at his luck, but steadied himself before he could fall. "Hi!" he called.

ooc: oops I didn't mean mentor in my post, meant half-sister lol

Foxpaw stared at Speckledpaw. "What happened to you?!" She called over, noticing her limping.

"Twolegs." Speckledpaw shrugged.

(MALE CAT o.o)

"Oh wow. Twolegs? Where, in our territory? " She meowed, flattening her ears and glancing around.

Lynxcloud widened her eyes.
Is that Speckledpaw? she asked herself, barely being able to speak.
She ran over and hugged her apprentice, licking him behind his ear.
"SPECKLEDPAW, YOUR'E BACK!!!!" she shrieked, squeezing him tightly.

Foxpaw scrambled backwards to leave her room for lynx cloud and speckled paw."Whaaaaaaat?" She meowed, tilting her head in obvious confusion. "Back"? What happened? She thought puzzled.

Lynxcloud turned back, cuffing her apprentice playfully on the ear.
"This is my previous apprentice, Speckledpaw! Upwalkers captured him!" she explained, fluffing her tail up in excitement.

Speckledpaw nodded. "Thanks for letting me breath again." he mewed after Lynxcloud hugged him.

OOC: Cats can hug cats. My cat did it once

"Oh, gosh! That must have been terrifying !" She meowed, shivering as she imagined what Speckledpaw might have felt. Does this mean I won't have a mentor? She thought with worry, then added, Oh be quiet, she just escaped from up walkers, plus, you'll get to spend lots of time with Lynxcloud, she's your half-sister... She thought with a sigh, she flicked her tail and scented the air for any close by prey.

ooc: HEEE NOT SHEEE

ic: Speckledpaw nodded. "At least they had open see-through things." he mewed,wriggling about a bit on the spot.

"See-through things?" She meowed, obviously confused. She crouched down and began stalking a mouse that was nibbling on a feeble stalk of wheat.

"Yeah." Speckledpaw nodded.

Lynxcloud remembered her days as a young, gullible, naive kittypet.
"Windows?" she meowed, flicking her ears.

Speckledpaw nodded. "That was it." he mewed. "They left the windows open."

Foxpaw pounced on her prey and gave it a killing nip and brought it back to the others. "Huh." She responded, not even knowing what windows even were.

"Good catch." Speckledpaw purred.

Lynxcloud's eyes lit up, internally praising her younger sister. The grass was soft under her paws as she sat calmly by the edge of the gorge, looking down and remembering Forestfall. Suddenly, a piercing shriek nearly broke her ears of the silence. But when she looked around, it was only in her head. She peered down into the darkness and saw a vision of Forestfall. She gave a small gasp and scooted away, acting casual.

"Are you okay?" Speckledpaw asked his mentor nervously.

Although Speckledpaw's immediate questions kind of took her off guard, Lynxcloud took a deep breath and shook her head.
"I'm fine," she meowed, ears twitching.
She shivered and flattened her ears as a sprinkle of snow landed on her nose.
"Shall we get back to camp now? Kitestar will be glad to see you." she smiled and took her sisters paw, leading the way back to camp.

"Yeah." Speckledpaw mewed, shivering at the cold and padding back after his mentor.

Lynxcloud winked halfheartedly and, as she padded back to camp, she hoped that Dovepaw was getting better and Batkit wasn't annoying the heck out of everyone anymore.

Sandleap sat down, waiting for Foxpaw.
