Hazelpaw padded along the side, picking herbs. She slipped on a stone and desperately grabbed an overhanging rock. She hung on, trying to get back to the edge.

Smokeshade leaped into the river and carefully swam after her. After a while he finally grabbed hold of her scruff and pulled her out.

Amberfall came here, ruffling her amber fur as she sat on the edge of the gorge. Why do i even bother staying in the Clan? she asked herself, but she knew the anwser. because she was afraid of being on her own. even though she hated having to help out and be nice., it was better than being alone.

Lakekit bounded here. she looked around, wide-eyed. "Wow!" She squeaked, running to the edge of the gorge, but being careful to keep her balance. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a butterfly flying just out of reach. She started chasing it around.

Amberfall watched Lakekit run around, rolling her eyes in disgust and the happy-go-lucky kit. She padded out of her hiding spot. "Lakekit!" She said, putting on her concerned warrior voice. "What are you doing out of camp? You could be hurt!"

Lakekit flattened her ears, surprised and ready for a scolding.

"Come, we'll take you back," Amberfall said coyly, steering the kit around farther from camp and into the edge of the forest but still near the gorge. "Back where no one will hear you scream!" She showed her fangs and held the kit down. "Fallensoul? Do you want to do the honors?" she trailed her claws over the kit's flank, making her bleed.
