Brackenstorm padded up to the leader's den. He sighed. I'm too old for this, its for the best. he thought mildly, then called out softly. "Amberstar? Can i speak with you?"

Fallowpaw bounced to her paws, and raced over to Mintfrost. "Yes?" she mewed, hoping that her mentor wouldnt be mad.

Brackenstorm padded inside the den, and sat down, wrapping his fluffy tail around his paws. "You know how I'm getting old..." he mewed awkwardly. "I was wondering if you would mind if I retired as deputy. Dont get me wrong, I love being the only deputy, but I think it might be for the clan's best interest if they had younger, stronger deputies with clear ideas. I never wanted to replace you, and I'd be happy living the rest of my days as an elder." he took a deep breath and waited for Amberstar's reply.

Thrushfeather pressed against her. "Come on Ravensky, let's get you to the nursery. Larkflight can you get Rubystripe?" he asked the older warrior.

Rubystripe stepped inside, looking at the gray she-cat "Ravensky..." she whispered, shaking her head when Cinderfrost came to her mind. She set to work.

ooc I made her to replace Cinderfrost... =D Which is why she looks almost exactly like her except for her eyes.

"Can you get me a stick? It doesn't have to be long but it needs to be strong enough for her to bite on." she meowed as Ravensky quickly ate the raspberry leaves, groaning in pain.

Thrushpaw nodded, understanding why she needed the stick. He padded out and good a good sized stick and padded back in, handing it to Ravensky

Ravensky meowed a hoarse thank you and took the stick between her teeth, biting on it as she pushed.
Rubystripe placed her paws on the she-cat's flank.
Thrushfeather lay against Ravensky, his blue-violet eyes worried.

Amberstar nodded understandignly. "I thought something like this would happen soon. I'll miss having you as my deputy, but i respect your wishes." He looked toward sthe nuresry, and decide to wiat to call the meeting.

Mintfrost twitche dher tail, annoyed. "We're going out of camp." she stated abruptly. "Come on." she left without looking back.
