ic: Russetwind shrugged. "Well, nobody trusts me either, so we're even on that." he laughed softly, his tail still flicking awkwardly.

Spottedthorn noticed his nervousness. "Is something wrong?" she asked, tilting her head.

Russetwind shook his head immediately. "Nono, fine." he replied, smiling. "Just...thinking."

"What about?" She asked, pressing him further.

Russetwind felt his ears burning. "The fact that I like you quite a bit more than you seem to like me." he mumbled, turning away from Spottedthorn.

Spottedthorn blinked. "Didn't i just say that you're the only cat i talk to? that i like talking to?" She wasn't exactly sure what she even meant.

Russetwind shook his head. "It doesn't matter," he replied, turning and walking back towards the Deep Swamp, ignoring Spottedthorn.

She let out a groan. "Oh come on, don't do that. Tell me what you mean." She was pretty sure she knew, and it made her ears warm. But she wanted to make him say it.

ooc: This reminds me, what happened to KestrelflightXShadowfrost in FireClan? XD

ic: Russetwind froze entirely except for his tail, which flicked in time with his breathing. "I think you know, but you obviously don't care." he replied, then continued to walk off.

ooc: I dunno. Maybe I should should have Shadowfrost break down and tell him outright. that would be fun xD
And what about ThunderXMelody in Storm? that's ancient now.

ic: Spottedthorn growled under her breath, then dashed after him and knocked him to the ground. She pinned him down. "Seriously. Quit walking away. Its really annoying." She said, though there was a slight amusement in her amber eyes.

Russetwind sighed. "What's the point?" he asked, looking utterly defeated. "You obviously don't feel the same way about me that I feel about you!"

"Right." Spottedthorn said. "So i dont return your feelings, as you put it. that must be why I'm always around you, and why I'm always up for hunting with you, and why I always choose you to patrol with. Because i don't like you." She was having a hard time hiding her smile. Relief poured off of her though, that he felt the same way as she did.

Russetwind's mouth fell open in a small 'o' shape, and he felt his fur growing hot with embarrassment. "R-right..." he stuttered, feeling slightly stupid.

ooc: I don't know why that just made me laugh hysterically. xD

ic: Spottedthorn let him up. "Well, okay then. Go on your way now. I won't stop you this time." she watched him with a gleam in her eyes.

ooc: XD

ic: Russetwind stood, but didn't leave. "I-I don't want to go now," he mumbled, shuffling his paws with embarrassment.

"Oh?" Spottedthorn said, enjoying herself immensely and not hiding it anymore. "You wanted to go a minute ago."

Russetwind flattened his ears. "Yeah, but I don't now!" he mumbled, still feeling rather embarrassed.

Spottedthorn finally let out the laughter she'd been holding back, Russetwind's embarrassment only making her more amused. "Okay, I know. I'm just teasing you. I can't help it, its so entertaining."

Russetwind flicked his tail at her ear. "You're mean," he teased right back, relief making him purr with laughter too.

"Yep." She said cheerfully, coming to sit beside him, unsure what to do now.

Russetwind flicked his tail. "We came out here to hunt, right?" he asked. "We've probably scared off all the prey."

"Well, Sandshade told me to hunt." Her dislike of Sandshade was in her voice. "Should we just go back to camp?"

Russetwind nodded. "Why not?"

"Okay." Spottedthorn got up. She glanced at him, and the raced off towards camp, leaving him to follow.

Russetwind rolled his eyes jokingly and sprinted after her, laughter bubbling up from him happily.

OOC: Yeah just ignore other cats. And can someone help the kits back home?

Ooc: Shadow just bring Sundapple plz ?

Nightfall tried to pick up a kit, but couldn't when she found out that she was too weak. Darkness called to the medicine cat.

"No leopardspots," Minnowpool said as she walked out of the shadows "I know what it feels like to be alone i used to be part of leafclan but i got chased out for my likeings of water," Minnowpool sighed as she went on "so i came here."

Turtlesplash led the patrol onto the sunstones, her eyes scanning for movement among the rocks.

Riverfall followed Turtlesplash to the Sunstones staying alert in case there were unwanted creatures near the territory.

After a few looks around, she saw a small, brown mouse scurry out from a crevice in the rock. She crouched down, he shoulders bunched, and waited for it to get closer.

After he was sure that nothing unwanted was here, he began to focus on hunting. He sniffed the air for prey until he caught the scent of a thrush. Once he caught the scent, he crouched down and glanced around to find the thrush just chilling under a tree with its back facing towards Riverfall's direction. He slowly began to creep towards it.

OOC: Should this be the patrol that meets the diseased rogue or just a normal hunt?
IC: Turtlesplash saw it get slightly closer to her and her claw flew out, slamming down on it and breaking its spine.

((Normal because Im not sure when they want that whole thing to start.))

Riverfall kept slowly creeping towards the thrush until he got close enough to where he could pounce on it. He stopped getting closer to it and leaped into the air. He landed straight on it, killing it swiftly with his killing bite. He stepped back with satisfaction.

OOC: I wouldn't start the plot until the others have started.

OOC: Alright, just a peaceful hunt
IC: Turtlesplash found a cluster of reeds to bury the vole in, but saw a nest inside. Craning her head for a closer look, she spotted several goose-feathers and a few eggshells.

Heatherwing, taking a different approach from the other cats, decided to set up her hunt on the outskirts. She wondered why the patrol hadn't gone fishing instead, since the river would probably be filled with delicacies such as minnow and trout, perhaps some bigger fish if they were lucky, but she wasn't about to question it. She wasn't the best little critter hunter, having originally been born in the tribes, but she certainly tried her best. Spotting a squirrel delicately nibbling on a acorn from a nearby tree, she began to stalk it.

Turtlesplash looked to the side and saw a goose swimming across the river, a small span of goslings following behind.

Riverfall buried the thrush with grass and made a note to remember to get it later. He sniffed the air again for more prey, trying to stay focused on what they came out here to do. He would have his own free time after everything got done.

Spottedthorn separated herself from the others, heading to the water's edge. She stared into the water, looking for any dark shapes darting around. She saw one out of the corner of her eye, and in a flash, her claw was hooked on a fish. She swiped it out of the water and killed it, setting on a stone next to her. She twitched her nose. She didn't like fish, but she knew the clan would appreciate some.

Salmonpelt noticed Spottedthorn catching some fish and decided to join her. He easily stuck his paw in the water and fished out a medium-sized salmon. He smiled and picked it up in his jaws, resting it by the same stone Spottedthorn put hers by. He threw some dirt on it carelessly and quickly bounded away to catch the crow he had scented earlier.

Heatherwing watched the squirrel from a distance, waiting for the right moment to pounce. Unfortunately, even with waiting, she managed to mistime her attack and practically ran into the tree that the squirrel had scrambled up. "Eee...ow."

Salmonpelt leaped into the air swiftly, ending the crow quickly with one slash of the claw. He brought it down carefully and saw the squirrel that Heatherwing had tried to catch scurry up the tree. Trying not to be a show-off, Salmonpelt swiftly bounded up the tree stump and looked around for the squirrel, perching on a  low branch of the tree. He caught his eye on it and sank his fangs into it's throat. He jumped back down and nudged it to Heatherwing. He smiled at her and went off to find the crow and fish he had buried earlier.

Heatherwing pursed her lips at Salmonpelt's show of skill. She nodded her head politely to him, and then when he was out of earshot, mumbled grumpily. "If the squirrel had been an eagle, I would've showed him!"

Salmonpelt went on, looking back at Heatherwing before he unburied his crow and fish. He dragged the crow out from the undergrowth and nudged it along to show the much older warrior, also the leader of the patrol, Turtlesplash. He left the fish by the stone where he buried it, and passed by Heatherwing while walking to see Turtlesplash craning her neck to see a small group of geese paddling out of the water. He tilted his head. I wonder if they would make some good prey? He thought.

Turtlesplash watch the geese cautiously. Catching it would mean a feast for the Clan, missing would mean injuries for her and possibly the rest of the patrol. She shrunk into the reed clutch, watching them swim closer. Her tail brushed against a reed, making a small cluster rattle. The goose froze, turning its head and drifting closer, the goslings following their mother's lead. Turtlesplash froze, her heart beating fast. Please look away please please please please.... she thought to herself the sharp eyes fixed on where she was. Turtlesplash flicked her eyes from side to side, looking for a place to run if it attack. The mother flapped its wings, spraying water everywhere, and climbed onto land.
 Turtlesplash fixed her eyes on its neck and sprang, clinging tightly. It let out a loud shriek and beat its wings at her. Her sides stinging, she clung tight as it hit her with its powerful wings. It tried to take off, but then fell back into the water. The goslings scattered in panic as Turtlesplash was thrown under water, the breath knocked out of her. Kicking desperately, she resurfaced to see the goose and goslings run back into the river and swim away. SHe dragged herself onto the bank and lay there, panting.
